I ran out of Tetra in salt and decided to try another one. According to reviews, Tropic in Pro Reef salt is considered the best. I bought a 25kg bucket of Pro brand salt. I conducted tests (salinity test) on freshly prepared water. The water was from reverse osmosis and a two-component ion exchange resin, 0ppm. Results: Tetra in sea salt Ca=410 Mg=1380 KH=11.8 pH - 8.3 Tropic in Pro Reef salt Ca - 480 Mg - 1350 KH - 3.5-3.6 (I measured it twice) pH - 8.3 I have been looking at a lot of information about Pro Reef salt in recent days; everyone praises it, but there are no numbers. For those who use Tropic in Pro Reef salt, could you share the water parameters immediately after dissolving this salt in this thread? I am very interested in KH!!!

How did you get the tenths of a degree?

Heather

The standard Salit KH / Alkalinity test allows measuring up to tenths of a degree...

The indicators are more characteristic for Alk, are you sure you didn't mix them up? Try to do a regular test for kN, like sulfur or tetra control.

Are these figures in meq/L or in dKh?

"Tropic in salt" or "Tropic in Pro Reef salt"?

John

Pro. 4 hours of mixing. 36g/L. Coloring starts at 7. Confidently - 8.

Tropic in salt, but I think there shouldn't be much difference in kSh.
