For example, in our city, there is a store-warehouse for chemical reagents. Once, you could buy some things there. However, times have changed. Now, if you manage to buy something, it’s only in quantities of 5 kg or more. But why would I need, say, 5 kg of potassium iodide, or 5 kg of magnesium sulfate? To turn my place into a branch of their warehouse? And it's not cheap either. You can get what you need at the pharmacy, but they don’t have everything that is necessary.

What do calculations have to do with it? How can you know that you are lacking cobalt or vanadium? For making salt, yes, you can calculate, but what then? The simplest way is to use high-quality sea salt, plus KR, you won't go wrong. Once, on the manufacturer's recommendation, I added iodine to a three-ton reef, then I bought a Salifert test in Moscow (it was about eight years ago), and when I measured it, the iodine level was off the charts by about five times.

However, I had issues with magnesium a couple of times, but I can't blame the purity of the reagents, as there are many other accompanying factors that affect the animals. Moreover, we mainly have hexahydrate calcium, or even more (very hygroscopic). So, it's like paying for water)) Dihydrate is significantly more expensive and harder to store.
