• What are the risks of high KH?

  • Robert800

I've been dosing TM Balling for about 20 days, and I recently measured KH... I had been measuring calcium, and I was shocked by the number 15-16... I urgently stopped dosing solutions 2 and 3, and instead started dosing more calcium... today I measured... calcium 420, KH 14... should I increase calcium further or just maintain the level until KH drops? What are the risks of having such a high KH?

Amber

Do not pour soda. Pour calcium as before until the Kн drops.

Through my trials with high K, it seems I have come to the conclusion that with high K, Calcium somehow disappears, as if into a chasm.

What kN value is preferable?

Kayla7655

It probably falls in the wasp.

I have KH 12, Ca 450 The typical value for surface ocean water is 7 KH I think 7-11 dKH is good, although higher levels are also acceptable if they do not lead to a decrease in calcium levels.

Thank you. I have the same carbonate hardness, and calcium is 440 mg/L. The parameters seem to be from the same aquarium. If it's not too much trouble, what is the water density?

I came to this too.

+100, so we need to lower the kN by substitution, and then gradually raise Ca/Mg.
