Greetings everyone! I've long dreamed of a larger volume, thought I'd be able to save up, gather funds, etc. But as it usually happens - at the most crucial moment, life pulls its trump card from its sleeve (in the form of a wrench and makes its own adjustments). I ordered a 170*50*50 aquarium, was about to buy some cheap Chinese necessities (flow, return pump, lights, skimmer, and...), and suddenly "bam" - in short, it's going to be a long startup. I know it's all wrong, but I have no desire to retreat, I will very slowly "take the height". Equipment, rock, and... will be added gradually. Scraping the barrels, scraping the bins, I scraped together some pipes and welded a frame with a friend; another friend gave me two sheets of leftover Soviet-era particle board (for the substrate, and later for cladding the cabinet). "Without friends, I am a little, but with friends, I am a lot!" (C) 12/30/2011 I salted 150 liters of water and transferred the contents of the sump (70 liters of water, 5kg of sand, live rock, macrophytes, heater, and skimmer). Set up two 203 Atman filters with sponges to remove suspended particles. The next day, the old aquarium was moved to the new one; to make the cabinet look not too awful for the New Year, it was draped with an old curtain from the bathroom (didn't have time to take it to the dacha). Yesterday, I took out a long-dusty airbrush and painted the particle board a bit (it had been used before - screw holes, etc. - didn't look too good). A bit later (this thread will often feature words like 'in time', 'later', etc., unfortunately there's no other way) I'll connect the sump, remove the equipment, and... tidy up, but slowly.
