Nikolai, congratulations on the launch and joining the friendly ranks of sailors! How many liters does the auto-refill add every 6 hours?

Jeanne

Thank you for the greeting. The pump delivers 60 ml of water per minute. One refill lasts on average 5 minutes, which is 300 ml. In total, up to one and a half liters of water is used per day. The container is designed for two weeks of refills, for the duration of a business trip, vacation, etc.

It might be useful for the future - here's how I did it. I arrived on the delivery day to find full aquariums of live rocks in the basement. I spread plastic wrap on the floor, built a perimeter for the aquarium out of boxes, and started assembling the piles. I had about a ton of live rocks at my disposal. When I achieved roughly what I wanted, I took photos of the structures, then disassembled them and packed them into boxes. I ended up with 25-30 kg of live rocks in exactly the shapes and textures I needed. Later, for finishing touches, I added 1-2-3 small rocks.

Hello! Congratulations on the launch. Especially since the sizes are almost like my future ones. It's a bit unclear what you have with the return? Or is there none? And is the return "attached" or "fully pumping"? And how many liters approximately on the output, have you measured? And is the noise/hum like that of this Eheim? Off-topic, I can't decide on my return.

Michael826

Congratulations on the launch! It is admirable how carefully, patiently, and steadily everything has come together! Good luck!

Joyce

Congratulations! Everything is done very neatly. Well done!

Michael826

I think you meant to say the angle of inclination of the side of the pyramid or cone in relation to the base, not the axis, since the axis is always perpendicular to the horizon, i.e., at 90 degrees.

Jeffrey496

Thank you, brothers, for the congratulations. I really have a celebration.

Corey3201

Congratulations on the launch!!! I really liked your approach and the thoroughness with which you approached the launch of the sea!!! I will gladly follow your topic; if possible, please describe all the systems in more detail, what was done and how?

Tami

With the launch! I also liked the approach and thoroughness. Is the drain going into the "white cassette"? What's in it? Where did the green grid come from? (I've been looking for something similar for a long time) How does the three-line timer work? Is it worth ordering one?

Brandy1134

Everything is on point! Please take a photo of your homemade lamp and, if possible, provide more information about it! Thank you.

Jessica8898

Good afternoon and thank you. The white cassette is a pre-filter and anti-bulk (drain silencer). Design: a plastic box from ventilation, the bottom is sealed, on the sides there are two windows with synthetic fiber and a plastic grid, inside there is a large sponge from Eheim (like a roll of very thick fishing line), and on top there is a lid. The green mesh was purchased at Epicenter. By the way, it adheres well with PVC glue. The timer is currently working without failures. But I adjusted it as described here (did not change the relay).

John3187

Exactly. I think I overcomplicated things with the angles.

Ryan1989

There are reports online that compacts have starting issues. Have you tried them? Since I'm looking for one for myself, ideally it would be adjustable, but for now, a reliable option for me is 1250. Maybe someone can convince me otherwise.

Brenda

I haven't noticed such a problem with my pump.

Cassandra1840

Actually, I tried to make a slope. I am attaching the photos.

Troy8808

This is very good advice. Unfortunately, it's a bit late for me. I wish experienced marine aquarium enthusiasts would share their reef-building experiences more often. There isn't much information like this on the internet.

Joseph8842

Could you provide a diagram of the overflow or some kind of drawing? Are there any recommendations for pipe diameters/lengths, angles of inclination, etc.?

Joseph1346

There are no drawings. Everything was done on-site. Since the cost of such a transfer is not high, I recommend practicing taking into account the height and volume of your aquarium. I am leaving for a business trip now. I will try to sketch a diagram over the weekend.

James5103

Did the glass wake up?

Zachary

For clarity - does the air intake from the hoses occur manually or is it still from the pump? That is - the question is how the process works when the power is turned off and then restarted?

Kristin

No way. I turned off the pump, and the overflow stopped. I turned on the pump, and the overflow started. The priming is done only during the first start.

Steven

Are the hoses (where the check valve is) connected to something (the pump) or not? Now the question: when the return pump stops, the water level drops below the intake pipe. Everything is stable. The pump turns on, and what makes it suck water into the coil? Is the elbow airlocked? Or am I misunderstanding the design?

Wendy

You understand everything correctly. There is a mistake in the sketch. I drew it at night. I apologize. I have made corrections to the sketch. Please watch these movies.

Janet5447

I think these photos taken before the aquarium was launched will clarify the situation with the overflow design. I thought they were lost, but they are still there. I only wasted time drawing the sketch.

Jennifer

What feedback can be given about the "EHEIM Compact + 2000" return pump? Is it noisy?

Corey3201

It works. It doesn't make noise. It is satisfied.

Todd

There was a question here that went unanswered. I'm also interested now - how is it made? What is it made of? If there is plastic - what is the situation now, does it not bend?

Cassandra1840

Thank you for remembering. I will post a photo.

Jeremy3637

looking forward to it

Robert800

I am posting the promised photos. The lamp is assembled on a metal frame (it's clear that it's an aluminum profile). The outer covering is a mesh, and on the sides, there is a plastic profile (with corners) for advertising boards. I think everything is clear from the photos.
