Since the aquarium is becoming a happy future for her this New Year! Happy New Year! Comrade in arms.

Joshua448

Isn't that a bit much? Are you sure? Won't it turn everything upside down? This is great! Thank you.

Brent5588

Well, it seems better now.

April3499

What are those empty shells doing there? Who's nostalgic? They were apparently opened with lacquer, and they aren't needed there, especially that big one. These photos are already of normal size.

Laura3673

The big one is fine, not opened or anything, brought from the Mediterranean Sea by someone a long time ago! I'll remove the small one, I agree, it doesn't look good.

Patrick4439

Taste and color... although just shells... When you place the corals, you'll see that it's unnecessary. But while at the CA store near Bessarabka, I saw an anemone in a bivalve shell - it looks AMAZING!

Nicholas2252

big is also unnecessary)

Megan

Congratulations on the start. Happy sailing! I recommend getting a five-stage reverse osmosis system. The ordered water always runs out at the most inconvenient moment, and 2-3 liters will definitely not be enough. For example, if it evaporates, you need to top it up; if you have new inhabitants, you need to replenish the volume; if the foam has overflowed, you need to refill; if you shared some of the livestock or filled a bag with water, you need to add it to the aquarium, and so on. If you always have reverse osmosis water at home, there will NEVER be a problem with lacking a couple of liters.

Tracey

Yes, I have guys in the neighboring district who are working on it, they have an American setup sized 1.5x1.5m. They deliver all over the city, I can order at any moment. A 19-liter bottle (just for a replacement) costs 18. Otherwise, it's 1500. Right now I feel sorry, maybe later I'll splurge!

Gregory9432

In general, it's better to buy at the nearest store. 19 liters for 9.50, that's 50 kopecks per liter. We have stores with osmotic water on every corner in Zhoparozhye. Of course, the situation with prices and availability might be different in Donetsk.

Sara4035

Yes, there are options for 60 kopecks, but there are nitrates up to 50 mg/l and nitrites up to 2 mg/l. (They say it's artesian water from Sviatohirsk, all minerals are preserved.) There are also options for 50 kopecks, but who knows what the composition is. Otherwise, with delivery, it just comes out to 95 kopecks! And the water is just right (verified).

Natasha7622

No, artesian water with nitrates won't do... But in stores, normal water costs 50 kopecks (at least here). We checked it with a TDS meter.

Katie4842

How to understand what is needed, who told you this, and who verified it? What does TDS show?

Joseph8592

What the indicators should be, I read in the literature; the only downside of osmosis is that it does not remove silicates, unlike distilled water. I don't know what TDS stands for; please explain the abbreviation. No one told me anything; I arrived at the company, they showed me the laboratory analysis, I was satisfied - we agreed - they delivered!

Bryan1851

ok! I recognize

Danielle9144

What type of osmosis would be suitable for me? I think around 40 liters a day would be fine, not too expensive, if possible with a link.

Chad231

Any of the cheapest ones without mineralizers and various water flavor enhancers should be removed. The cheapest will give you 50 liters per day. Names: RAFIL, Our Water, it's better where it's written in Russian and where it says it maintains a pressure of at least 6 Bar, as I had an experience with a burst cartridge. It's also advisable to get one with a pressure-boosting pump right away if the tap pressure is less than 2 bar, otherwise, you'll be waiting a long time for water, as it won't push through the membrane. I had 1.5 atm and could barely get 20 liters per day, so I had to buy a pump. So it's better to get it right away; it will be cheaper that way. Take a look at how it is set up at my place:

Jacob7201

I have been using this for a year now (first one on the page) Delivery by Nova Poshta is free. I change the first filter (coarse filtration) every month, and I am still amazed at how dirty it gets.

Jesse

This osmosis is the optimal option for you. You can also find flasks with removable cartridges for ion exchange resins there.

Monica

I have had the reverse osmosis system for over a year (our water), and I am 100% satisfied. After the membrane, the TDS shows 0.06, and after the resin, it is 0.00. I change the cartridges every three months, and I haven't changed the membrane yet; the resin has been in use for seven months. The maintenance costs are low, it pays for itself quickly, and you will be drinking clean water. What is delivered is not always good; what is considered drinkable by their standards unfortunately does not hold up in the sea.

Angela7060

I have been using osmosis for 2 years, both for the aquarium and for myself. It's not great, so I still add 1/3 from the tap; otherwise, there could be issues with my kidneys and heart.

Scott9892

In osmosis, there is a mineralization filter after the membrane that saturates the water in the correct proportion. Sometimes a double tap is installed, for the water after the mineralizer and before it. In the aquarium, water before the mineralizer is used.

Michele

Complete nonsense! You buy fruits and vegetables at the market, eat them, and then you have to drink osmotic water for a year to wash all the garbage out of your organs. And how much has accumulated over decades when there was no osmotic water, huh? A lifetime won't be enough to cleanse. And you are spreading fears. P.S. I haven't seen or known a single person who felt bad from purified water, but there are more than a hundred examples of people having issues from tap water, not to mention the fatalities.

Robert

Everything is clear with osmosis - it needs to be taken, but I didn't understand about the resins, is an additional section needed? That is, does the water pass through the resin after all the cartridges to remove silicates?

Kevin8087

Study the fundamentals In all osmosis systems, there is no such concept as a mineralizer if the osmosis is up to 400 dollars, and companies are just making extra money on the installation of mineralizers. For those who are less informed, I will announce a very interesting fact: in Kyiv, the water is fluoridated and partially iodized because from the meager set of vegetables that we all consume, we are 100% lacking in minerals. For the particularly pseudo-intelligent, there are studies from the Institute of Traumatology in collaboration with the Department of Dietetics on the impact of the consumer basket on the increase in the number of injuries in the population.

Richard2180

I got mine for 300 currency units with a mineralizer. The tap water in Troieshchyna smells like poop - is that an additive?

Amy1672

The terrain determines the water; for 300, "our water" is still that filter, and they still fluoridate your water because in a year you would already be toothless.

Mitchell3177

I personally have a well so deep that you can hear the devils. I have never drunk tap water in Troieshchyna or in any city or region of our homeland. Even from the well, tests were done before I started drinking it.

Randall7906

Comrade, you are mistaken about the section; we have a marine aquaristics section here, and you should be pouring tap water for your mollies. We already have enough rudeness without you. So please express yourself appropriately towards the forum members in this section, especially towards the Moderator.

Katie4842

By the way, great filter!

Melinda2740

Dear. Exactly, study the material and before you say something, at least Google it, read that the sixth degree of purification is the Sixth stage - the AIMRO mineralizer enriches water with the minerals and trace elements necessary for the human body, and this installation costs no more than $250, and if desired, you can find it even cheaper. I do not recommend being rude, especially not in your own topics, and even more so in someone else's. Why? Read the rules before it's too late.

David

A good topic on osmosis: Answers to many questions are provided...

Lindsay

Isn't that rude? You jumped into the marine section without any preparation, young man. Almost everyone here, and even professionals, will give lectures on osmosis and water treatment. For those who are particularly smart - every modern toothpaste contains fluoride (so fluoridating water is just nonsense), and there's no point in iodizing water, as iodine is a very volatile element, so by the time the water reaches the tap, it simply won't be there.

Pamela

Would you like a sip of something fresh?

Helen

They just added iodine.

Selena4467

To start, I recommend you take a TDS meter and measure the parameters of the Morshyn mineral water, which is recognized as ideal for human consumption. You will be very surprised by the readings. Also, brew tea with osmotic water and take measurements as well, and make a broth with a bone and measure that too. Regarding nutrition and trace elements, I could give a lecture, as I studied all of this very well twenty years ago for the development of various nutrition options for different branches of the Soviet army.

James4757

Complete nonsense.

Catherine

The question is, what is this? How useful or useless is it? There are quite a few of them in the whole aquarium. This one is just the biggest)) and there are many other small ones like flowers that hide and then come out again.

Jennifer7578

This is aiptasia, a rare nuisance that needs to be eliminated.

Shane

Do not direct the pump at the stones. Raise it to create a wave-like current. "In a week, plant 2 clowns." "In 2-3 weeks, if the clowns don't go to the other side, I will plant softies." Why send them to the other side? I wouldn't plant clowns until the cloudiness passes.

Christopher1774

It's been about 2 weeks, and in a week it will be 3. The coal is fine. I measured nitrates at 0-12.5 and nitrites at 0. pH is 8-8.4, kH is 12. But how do I adjust the skimmer? There are no adjustments))) It seems to be producing bubbles normally. There's no foam, and there's no organic matter either. Well, let's see what happens in a week.

Matthew7977

It will be. Everything is still ahead...

William

Are there J.K. (living stones)? Then there is definitely 100% organic matter. It should be producing foam.

Elizabeth1221

In any case, you should be skimming foam. If it's not skimming, it means something is not set up correctly. Take photos of the water level in the skimmer.

Nicole

Where should the level be? I set it higher, where the cuff is approximately. So, the original one won't work? Is there a resan at 1100 l/h, will that work? I probably won't do that, and I don't know where to put what. This will probably be the fastest option!

Erica

Yes, but for now, it will be necessary for this to work at least somewhat. Cut the box from the blank into a strip of 0.5 cm and gradually (first one, then another if there's enough) glue it to the exhaust opening of the foam - it will also raise the level in it by a couple of mm. If it doesn't work well, you can tear it off.

Cassandra7840

Well, I set the level somewhere like that! In general, I found it and redid it.

Amy9618

I saw it, but after the modification, it's powerful for this air filter. Vitalik himself modified the filter for installation in the SAMP (without a bend). Take another drill (I don't remember the diameter) and carefully ream out the plastic inside, where the intake air tube fits (the part that goes into the pump). P.S. It will start to pull a bit more air, but do it carefully.

Stephanie9175

Sure! Thank you, and what model is this device? If possible, please provide a link.

Michelle1662

Deltec MCE 300 Deltec MCE 600 price around 300 euros

Earl

I have everything I have right now is worth so much. So we will continue to work on Jaba.

Kimberly4253

Please tell me, a white coating has started to form on the rocks, that is, where there were green algae growths, is this normal? And for a laugh: I found a small shell yesterday, and I thought I’d throw it in the aquarium, maybe the hermit crab would crawl into it, but it’s about 2-3 times bigger than the one it had, and probably heavier too. In the morning, I wake up and see this wonder sitting at the very top in that shell, digging into the rock))) it’s pretty cool, but now it’s just sitting in one place, moving a bit, whereas before it was quick, crawling all over the aquarium. I’m wondering what to do!

Chris

I have about ten of them. Recently, I witnessed a scuffle - six hermit crabs launched a raid on a larger one and threw it onto a shell, while it, in turn, tried to climb into a small one for about 20 minutes until I threw it a bigger one.

Michael

Please let me know, a white coating has started to form on the stones, that is, where there were green algae growths. Is this normal?

Bonnie

No need to duplicate. Everyone can see everything anyway. It's fine. Later it will blush too.

Christopher4125

Regarding the jab, I decided to upload a video on YouTube, as it's not very clear from the photos.

Raven7170

You should remove the restrictions first (I don't know which ones), I can't check.

Heather

Everything is fine now.

Anthony7814

Well, I'm about the same, although you can give it a bit more air for now until it starts working properly and before the cone gets clogged from the inside. You can lower the water level in the foam a couple of millimeters.

Charles5941

Okay! I'll skip it. I think we should judge his work when there are already some creatures. For now, the filter with carbon and anti-phosphate is working, plus the algae are managing, especially since the rocks are lively and not alive, and the last 3 kg are probably the same! By the way, I’ll try to fit an Atman 202 pump with a capacity of 1200 l/h there. I’ve already measured the lower removable part from Jebao for it, just need to trim it a bit and it will be ready. I’ll post a photo later!

Michelle

He is not working.

Amber6362

What do you think about this? I couldn't find a specific answer regarding its performance. I was in the store today, and they have an Aquamedic Minifloat in the sump, an aquarium of 200 liters, and quite a bit of livestock. They say it handles it well.

Alexandra

It works, but not stably. That's what everyone says about it, and I often adjust it myself. There is water, there is air - the mix happens. Or if it initially had a lot of oil (I rinsed my own under the tap), especially the rotor, then that's normal. Also, the question is how often the hands are washed in the aquarium - mine gets stuck without foam for about three hours afterward.

Theresa5149

the first mistake, the second on the diffuser and internal, and I think the price is not small. I personally wouldn't take it on the diffuser, Aquamedic is also not cheap. Do you have the lid for now? If yes, then until you install the internal light, it won't fit. I was thinking about this one for myself, but I never bought it, and now I'm going to install the sump soon, so there's no point. It seems to work, but who knows, Google it, there's little information on Google, but there is. There's also another upgrade option. I also don't remember who (deleted the message in private) offered a used Aquamedic for not much, the same type as Bubble Magus.

Megan

Sanya, I meant not your pen or Jebo 182 in general, I meant the author's pen and the video on YouTube. Guys, my opinion is that if you don't have enough money for a good new pen, you can buy a used one on the forum, but it should be a good one. You can also go for a Chinese one, but then you need to have a clear plan to improve it.

Amy1672

the first Aquamedic miniflotter second -275. I don't plan to take anything for now. I saw such a ray presented by Tkach, there was even a video. In principle, an interesting device, maybe I'll get it later.

Hunter1471

I agree, but believe me, I searched the entire flea market and the "equipment" section before making the purchase; if there had been anything, I would have taken it. Now regarding the "clear plan" - it's completely inappropriate; this is my first marine aquarium, what clear plan can there be? In a year, I will be setting up a 300-400 liter tank, and then I will think everything through and invest as much money as needed. P.S. Especially since many experienced people have taken this Jaba; why didn't you advise them, or do you want me to know the workings of a Chinese device from day one?

Alicia5489

I understood. There isn't anything else more or less suitable for that volume, and even in the flea market, it's also a rarity. There are options for SAMP, but without... JABA. There is either a China Lego constructor or starting from 200 euros. TMC, IO skimm, Deltec - all of them are not available. Our club of crafty hands only makes "only for SAMP," I haven't encountered anything else. Even Vitalik NOX took a hanging JABA and put it into SAMP. I understood all the charms of "handcrafting" before the purchase, but the price fully justifies itself.

Katie5500

Who among the "experienced" has taken this Jaba? He set it up and is doing something with it. I will decide for myself who to advise. Now regarding the "clear plan" - it's completely inappropriate, this is my first marine aquarium, what clear plan is there? In a year, I will be launching a 300-400L tank, then I will think everything through and invest as much money as needed. I can only wish good luck... P.S. I definitely won't be giving advice on this topic anymore.

Brooke

And we will try to set it up!

Michelle5859

Here is my modification. Simple and reliable, with minimal costs. The Delta-style foam pieces were made of glass and acrylic. There was something similar in Sanka, and in principle, it's not a problem to replicate it.

Christine864

Interesting idea! We should give it a try))) Moreover, the hole can be fixed later!

Michele9664

I decided to update a bit. The aquarium is almost 1 month old. I modified the skimmer like Keepo's and connected an Atman compressor with a flow rate of 6 L/min. After some time, it started making some noise. I installed 2 fixtures with 2x39W San-San, replaced one bulb with an Aqua Medic Reef Blue, and plan to add another Hagen Marine Glow, totaling almost 160W. I think that's enough for soft corals, although later I might replace one fixture with a metal halide. Today, I added 2 clownfish. In a month, I plan to introduce some soft corals. Water parameters: pH 8.2-8.4, KH 12, PO4 0, NO3 0-12.5.

Craig7302

Unjustifiably expensive and useless lamp. There are already "blushes" from decent manufacturers.

Laura3615

I agree, both Aquamedic and Hagen blue lamps do not make the corals fluoresce under their light; Arcadia and ATI have an interesting lilac hue that enhances the colors.

Erin2730

I have Sylvanian Actinics Coralstar, which are not expensive, and the corals seem to look fine; the Euphyllia is fluorescing.

David

The T8 Silvanyas are excellent, while the T5s are bluish.

Tami

I have a T5, I don't know if it's good or bad that they are bluish, but the aqua looks nice. I like Silvania more than San-San Blue-Bio.

Melinda2740

I also wanted to install a Sylvania Coral Star, but I can't find a T5 39W. I have GroLux, can I use that instead? As for Arcadia and ATI, I couldn't find a T5 specifically 39W. There are JBL and Dennerle, but their prices are 250-350. It’s better to install MH later, since there are no corals for now.

Beth3383

Silvania Coralstar is available at "Aquarium," I got a T5 39W from them. No need for Grolux. ATI under 200 (should be in Airi), Arcadia is even more expensive.

Shelby3182

Everything is very simple, the radio market at Mayak.

Jesse

JBL and Dennerle, just like Arcadia and ATI, have a good violet glow, but they are expensive, while Hagen and Sylvania have a regular blue light. In that case, it's better to buy Osram 67, which has exactly the same color as Hagen and Sylvania, but Osram is cheaper and the quality is well-known.

Kathleen

These lamps are practically impossible to buy. Although the spectrum is identical to that of Aquamedic.

Shelby3182

It's strange, but in St. Petersburg, they are sold in almost every electronics store. However, you have Borjomi in any store, while we...

Robert800

Well, we can exchange for lamps.

Shelby3182

Offtopic, so you have both Deltac and TMS, it's not a problem to find them, but I haven't seen them here, only available by order from Russia or abroad. And used ones (to save money) are completely unavailable. P.S. I'm interested in attachments, so I have to use China-Jaba (i.e. Jebo).

Wendy

Has the Caulastrea started to divide long ago? Are you feeding it something?

Amy9618

Why do you turn off the pump and the foam dispenser at night? Does it annoy you?

Mark

I already got one like this from Max (Mgl), well, maybe it has grown a bit more, but it hasn't split yet. I feed the shrimp blended in a blender + cyclops from a syringe once a week. Well, yes, it's in the bedroom, I don't mind, but my wife does! And the pump is silent, it just creates a strong current at night, so it makes a gentle flow.
