A31-liter cube was used for practice instead of launching a 200-liter sea project. Surprisingly, a 370-liter cichlid aquariumhlid aquarium looks like a bomb, despite the small 31-liter size and two stones. The cube dimensions are 35*35*30 cm. The lighting setup includes 2*24 PL lamps, blue LEDs, and a moonlight. The filtration system consists of an Eheim Liberty filter with sponge, polyfill, and Prigen. A Hailea heater and a Red Sea hydrometer are used. Red Sea salt and Natures Ocean sand are the substrate. Reverse osmosis water is

Stephen

It is better to remove the sponge and synthetic padding; they can be replaced with broken glass (live stones) or more beneficial fillers (activated carbon, etc.). You shouldn't trust it too much.

Daniel

I change the synthetic padding every 2 days, unfortunately, there are no live rocks, so I will put Seachem Matrix.

Sarah

I love cubes. The light is good. What do you plan to keep? It seems they don't recommend it, but I don't want to place the heater horizontally, due to live rocks?

Katherine

A normal hydrometer, but it needs to be thoroughly cleaned with distillate after each use. And it should be calibrated with the correct water to start with. I wash the synthetic cotton daily, I think it's useful. The fear of J.K. (live rocks) can only hold about 100 grams at most, what's the point? I'm sure it's better to keep the wires from the freshwater heater above the water.

Laura3615

Why three thermometers? Or am I mistaken?

Mark

The biggest mistake is not to remove the plug from the hydrometer if it is constantly in the aquarium! I once messed up like that at the beginning of my marine hobby. I paid for it later.

Mark9853

Off-topic, you can give me half a box to try as well. My acquaintance always takes three candies on the plane. I tell him - one for takeoff, one for landing - that's clear, but why the third? He replies - what if I lose one!

John3142

You can't keep it in the aquarium; it will overgrow and show the density of lunar soil. Check, rinse, and dry!!!

Kenneth7210

Aquarium lid filter - a beautiful harmonious solution has been achieved. Matrix is a suitable filler for such filters, but for this volume, it is more effective to use only chemical filtration.

Anne4851

It is possible. If it's dark in the Samp, it won't overgrow.

Nicholas2252

What do you plan to keep? I haven't decided yet, but I really want to get something started. Maybe you can suggest something undemanding from corals or invertebrates; they all look like corals to me. Can someone tell me who among them is a coral, who is a mushroom, and who is something else? I'm a bit confused. And I understand that I can introduce the first inhabitants in about a month? Where can I buy 2 strombus snails? Or does anyone have something to share from their livestock?

Alyssa1438

Whoever sends the right water would be appreciated. I'm changing the synthetic winterizer to a new one, there's no time to wash it, I bought a meter by a meter 20 and it's not a big deal.

Breanna9982

But can you recalibrate in the distillate?

Michele9664

The Red Sea hydrometer is extremely unreliable.

Devon107

Only people in the area can help. And with the grass too - weeding is a necessary thing.

Jesse

I almost got it right, but there are two hydrometers with a thermometer function, type 2 in 1. They have scales at different heights, so I was looking at them, trying to find the golden mean.

Lynn4242

In our city, I think this is the first sea. It's nice. Although the Black Sea is nearby. As for the grass, the shipping is at my expense.

David4968

Thank you for this.

Megan

Who uses what? I was thinking I have the cheapest 17, so I could just calibrate it properly and everything would be fine.

Lee425

I used it, not satisfied.

Courtney

Citizens of the marine community, can anyone give me some advice? Initially, when I brought the live rocks, they were so vibrant with red and pink hues in the dark under blue LEDs, but now those pink shades are fading and leaving white spots. I understand that this might be due to bacteria dying. What should I do, or will it all stabilize? And what should the water flow be like? For the first two days, only the filter was working; maybe that was the mistake. I have now added a pump.

Jason

Most likely, it was (is) Carolina, an algae that is quite demanding in terms of water quality and sometimes does not grow even in successful aquariums. I noticed the first signs of redness after six months. As I understand it, it grows when other algae lack elements for growth and prefers current. Calibration with distillate is impossible. The distillate is 0 or 1; here the scale starts from 1 +... (I don't remember).

Daniel

Place the signs, otherwise it's just a stream of words... The J.K. (living stones) arrived, and the Carolina, dark red, has died on them. Now it glowed orange. It is currently recovering and stops glowing. Or it completely disappears and exposes the J.K. (living stones). There is nothing critical there.

Natalie

Is the Black Sea nearby? So why not take advantage of such an opportunity? Go ahead. Catch some shrimp, hermit crabs, a couple of sphynx cats, the storms are currently washing up some phyllophora, and it will bring you, as a beginner, happiness... Although it's December now... But I remember, before New Year’s, I once went and brought everything back...

Marie5348

Go to Odessa - it's not far for you. Meet him - he is the main speculator there - he will provide you with water, stones, and fish.

Rodney3101

Today I noticed that the J.K. (live rocks) have started to be covered with a brownish coating. Could it be due to reducing the light period?

Nicole7122

The classic launch process has begun. What is the current "daylight"?

Frederick

It's 12 o'clock, I need to set the timer or else when I leave for work, I come back late.

Rachel9060

At this stage, it's quite a lot. 6-8 will be more than enough.

Joshua9340

What kind of livestock can be purchased for a weekly aquarium?

Cheryl

The maximum is something made of oak softness. But in general, it's better not to rush; let everything settle down.

Amanda5586

As of today, my sea doesn't look great; all the J.K. (living stones) are covered with a brown coating and are slowly appearing on the sand. The light has been reduced to 6 hours.

Alan273

I don't see the point in illuminating the aquarium so intensively right now. It's better to turn off the light completely for 2-3 weeks. The main thing now is active carbon and good skimmer performance. You have no pests, macroalgae, or fish. Why cultivate lower organisms on the rocks? Just to deal with their extermination later?

Laurie3842

There are only 31 liters of water, and the skimmer was not mentioned anywhere (or did I miss something?). Basically, with such a volume, it would be easier to go to Odessa to him. He has more water to spare for replacements. Just take a couple of bottles, scoop a handful of sand from him, and you can use your own stones.

Bridget

Where did you get such lamps?

Sydney

Here

Jonathan6173

Who uses which tests in the sea? I measured with Ptero NO2 NO3 tests, but nothing came out, the reagent clumped. Maybe they are not suitable for the sea?

Jeremy

He probably isn't really there. But for the time being, it wouldn't hurt to have something... Even if it's a small homemade one. To squeeze out the nastiness...

Tanya

What can be made from?

Martin3206

the smallest I've seen. but by the time you set it up and get it to work with the brains, you can move on - it's generally unstable. in its defense - the price, it works as it costs, although a bit better - it works at ~ 15 euros. I had it in a 50-liter tank, but since you have a lid, it might not be tall enough. here it is more or less working just before the move to 140 (it was worse before) post 134

Stuart

Which diffuser is better to use? Or can you make a homemade one from some type of wood?

Todd8452

I usually use linden wood with a cross-section, that is, across the annual rings of the wood. But you don't have to bother with searching for wood and making a sprayer from it. You can also use a regular green one that breaks easily. Break off about 5 cm and seal one side with something. The effect with the bubble will be worse, but the "column" will still work. P.S. The drip line that the sprayer will be attached to needs to be tied to the tube so that it doesn't fall out.

Rodney7316

try to introduce pseudocromis fridmani at the beginning... I introduced it on the 6th day of the cycle... it is alive and happy to this day

Michele

This tube is dusty, God forbid. The outer part needs to be installed, if we're being serious, and it doesn't take up much space. Or standard chemistry and substitutions.

James8887

Yes. Resilient, peaceful, very beautiful... Just right for beginners.

Charles894

The jar is almost 2 weeks old, a chiton was spotted among the living creatures, one urchin died, a small black and white striped snail is crawling around, the feather duster worm has disappeared, and on one of the stones (1 cm in diameter) there is something resembling an aiptasia, but I can't take a photo. I was planning a trip to Odessa for more living creatures, but the weather forecast is not promising, and I'm afraid I won't be able to bring anything back.

Christina9947

What are you planning to take to Odessa?

Randy

Where can you find animals in Odessa?

Devon107

Planned the court.

Chad9037

By minibus

Brian

They will pack it well in a thermobox, you don't need to worry.
