Class!!!
I was even more surprised by the list of equipment - almost everything was done by yourselves!
Two questions:
1. Sulfur - why this particular salt?
2. Is the aquarium photo taken under actinics?
P.S. Size is not the main thing.
Jenny
Where is the wave?
Nicole
What is there to say, it's class! Guys, what are you doing, posting photos of junk and writing about fancy equipment to impress new consumers? And everyone is shouting "class," it's hypocrisy, brothers. There are aquariums that are a hundred times cheaper and look better. Stop just patting yourselves on the back; there are things to compare. Aren't you tired of praising things for no reason?
P.S. There's nothing personal, just an overview.
Emily3506
100%!!! So far, all we see is a pile of stones...
PS nothing personal!
Jeremy
The equipment is cheap in quality, but VERY expensive in price!!! (for a DIY project)
Right away, a question about the light!!! Why a lamp with a metal halide??? This question is very interesting...
Brent7831
Well, why do you need it?? Don't you know that you can't maintain SPS without MG!!!???

It's really interesting, especially considering that the owner of a 3x400W MH claims to have achieved unprecedented success. The answer is very simple - the person liked the aquarium in our store, which has the same lighting. For my part, I suggest this configuration because I like the results obtained with it.
By the way, in the neighboring thread, Max also...
It could have been set up with T5 as well; by the way, we will soon have a new line ready, only with T5 and T5+MH, but I still think the aquarium is too tall for T5.
Charles894
The new reef sulfur is of quite good quality. The MG has not been included yet.
Chelsea567
The wave is the same as in the store, it is not included in the photos.
Yvette209
The aquarium day is filled, and it's somewhat foolish to evaluate and compare its condition, to put it mildly. I will try to share the process of its maturation online; I think it will be interesting.
Lauren
Your excuses and jokes really amuse people))))) Keep it up)))
T5 will illuminate and 85 cm, but it's more profitable for you to sell with instant light! Why tell the truth to the client? Later, they will be offered to exchange, redo, etc.
This approach is well-known, you practice it constantly!
Has no one told you that your lamp resembles a coffin lid?
Question about the launch, what chemicals are used for the launch?
What animals are planned for the settlement?
Now remember this once and for all! I never claimed to have achieved unprecedented results! You probably dreamed that!
Courtney4094
I liked the phrase: "T5 will illuminate and 85 cm, but it's more profitable for you to sell with instant light! Why tell the truth to the client? Later, they will be offered to exchange, redo, etc." -- everything is accurate, down to the commas.
A regular aquarium, of which a dozen are shown on the forum in the state of "just after launch." And if projects do surface a few years after launch, the key phrase is "the client is fine with it anyway."
Robert800
In general, for advertising and promoting a particular aquarium concept, they show an aquarium at its peak condition to illustrate what can ultimately be achieved with a certain set of equipment combined with knowledge and skills. After all, an aquarium can thrive or fail, but in this case, it seems to be a different situation—it's a demonstration, like, "Look, I've snagged another fat client," while what happens next with the aquarium itself is no longer important.
Lauren
Why not, if we assume that the pens for ATI are being manufactured in the Celestial Empire?
Dennis
They are also mass-produced, and since this is already serial production and not an individual approach to each client, prices need to be lowered. He is a manufacturer, not a reseller.
Angel628
OK. Let's be friends between our houses!
Marie5735
The cool thing is that almost all the equipment is handmade. I haven't rated it as a reef yet - it doesn't exist for now. And the price and advertising are a different matter... Here, half of the forum is about advertising...
Larry
Well, of course, it doesn't apply. Both Doctorfish2 and others attacking the competitor have no relation to iReef. They only have a relation when promoting iReef on the forum. It's all logical.
Collin
On what grounds are you accusing me???????
All types of equipment that we install are present in the store and in working condition.
It can be seen, touched, and smelled...
It is demonstrated in action to all clients and only after that sold.
Meanwhile, the main page of Airif shows an aquarium with a light and a skimmer.
That is, you are demonstrating one thing and selling something completely different......
What is this if not fraud??????
Jason9385
IReef, wait for the package with the grenade. Just kidding!
Tami
Did you happen to mix anything up?
Bonnie
Almost everyone does it this way to avoid failure. The risk that the aquarium won't happen remains in any case, and I understand this perfectly. However, in my opinion, the project presented online carries more weight than a dozen others. This aquarium uses equipment and technologies that we have already tested, so we have some chance.
Wendy8540
It will be boring without you.
Lindsey3362
one more time
communicate normally with me and I won't keep you waiting
if it's hard for you to answer why mg, not t5 without examples, like what I have or with any excerpts from posts, it's better to ignore my questions! Just like with chemistry for the launch, for example, you didn't answer...
And one more time, about the equipment from you... - it's expensive for homemade! Of course, it costs money, I never claimed that you should give it away for free.
relax, can't you see anything else but this?
Christine864
As well as without you
Regarding the equipment, the question is clear, but there is absolutely no information on how much stone, how much sand, what kind of water treatment, etc.
Kristin
150 kg of stone, overexposed
96 kg of sand, one third live
2/3 water from active aquifers
osmosis + resin
No chemicals yet...
Emily
150 kg is not a small amount..., but what is the volume of water with the sump?
William5838
Amy5070
If you put another 50 kg of stone in there, the fish won't have any space to turn around, and corals are supposed to grow there too. It looks like the StasaAlpina aquarium.
Katie3017
Yes, it looks very much like StasaAlpina's aquarium.
On one hand, the more stone, the better, but on the other hand, 150 is already more than enough...
What is planned for stocking?
Natalie
The owners like everything. I think we will start with actinies, soft corals, LPS (large-polyped corals), and something like seriatopora, montipora, and then depending on the situation...
Curtis9143
Why the hell are you pushing so much stone on everyone? I can't find other words. I'm amazed at how you can deceive people like this!?
Jenny
P.S. I still don't like how the rocks are arranged - piled against the wall. This will definitely be a stagnant area with no flow. Plus, it's inconvenient to attach corals there. I would rearrange the soft corals during the first planting, but that's all.
Jeffrey6189
The return will blow against the stones, and I will direct one of the streams through the rear window; additionally, there will be a wave box for rescue... We will figure it out as we go, maybe we will remove one row. The stones are laid as close as possible to the natural landscape of most reefs, with many holes and ledges, and there will be no problems with coral attachment.
Tammy
Offtopic. Or better, 3 bottles... so there’s something to remember. To all three of you.
Tracy4603
"Enlightened" means it will be possible to see the bottom, right? That's quite a bold statement about 85 cm... and then... it's unknown what will grow there! Why attack the person right away? Maybe they're preparing an aquaponics system!
Anna9752
Bold? Do you think so? Do you have experience that the T5, 85 cm, did not shine through in the acroporid?
James1625
What is meant by "not shining through"? They will survive for a while, but then they will fade. Why torture them? If possible, wouldn't you shine your T5? 85 cm... At a minimum, you'll have to move it in width; otherwise, how can you fit the required watts per unit volume? And then, why is this MH even needed if not for acroporas at such depths?
James5032
According to the response, the main thing is to calculate the wattage per liter? What about the spectrum, the presence of useful UV? If you have been snorkeling on the reefs, you might have noticed that SPS corals are less colorful at the surface than at depth. I am writing about the lamps based on experience. Since you are from Kyiv, you can come to us and see for yourself that MH is absolutely unnecessary!
Brandon9634
Where can I see a reef 85 cm tall grown only under T5 lamps???? Do you have such experience???? Show me....., I'm curious....
Cassandra7840
But what about the "bunnies"? I wouldn't want the sea without them for free.
Tonya
you can't argue with that
Amber1273
I think that if you add LEDs to the T5, then the bunnies will appear as well. PS I don't know if you noticed or not, but Sergey has such bunnies running around in the LPS rack under the T5s!
Nicole263
It is possible..., but there is still little information on how the reef will thrive under LED, even in combination.
Wanda666
Corals live quite well under the ice, which received international recognition at the RC as aquarium of the month for October. My corals also felt good in my SAMPA when I used an LED light. However, there are excessively many rabbits from the flickering, which makes my eyes dizzy, but that's just my personal feeling; many people like it.
Gabriel
Here at 70 cm
Christine864
here at 70 cm
Jessica6754
a very big misconception...
the benefit is the same, maybe even more (lamps need to be changed more often)
Let everyone choose what they like more, and we will adapt to the demand.
Nicole7268
I believe that these photos are evidence that T5 lamps are capable of adequately illuminating a depth of no more than 40-50 cm, as all the serious corals in this aquarium are located at a depth of no more than 30-40 cm, and only one acropora is placed at the bottom, and I am almost certain that it was put there just for the photo.
Meghan
Could you provide more details? What type of corals, at what depth were they illuminated, for how long, and what brand of light was used? I am considering setting up my own system, but so far everyone who had LED lights has switched back to metal halide, and the reviews about LEDs are mostly negative. Thank you in advance.
Travis572
Jäger78, please read the link I provided; I described everything in detail there, and it's also visible in the photo, but discussing it in this thread would be off-topic.
Christopher3770
I didn't say that the main thing is what to rely on. The spectrum is a given, but without a certain AMOUNT of light, it won't work anyway.
Thank you, with pleasure! And where is this for us? What are the working hours?
Kenneth7331
Have you dealt with "serious corals"? Judging by this wonder, no, and you don't even have an idea, yet you try to assure. Here's another aquarium that I like with T5 lamps, but the corals on the bottom are just for the photo. I apologize to the topic author for the slight off-topic.
Susan1358
One moment - the lamp, for example, ATI Blue Special 12k, refers to the temperature of the lamp itself, but if we consider that the aquarium is 50-70 cm high and the light fixture is 10-20 cm above the water, then at the bottom it will be around 5k? Or am I misunderstanding something? Off-topic: I was at IREEF yesterday - the colors of the corals under fluorescent lamps are just amazing. I haven't seen better coloration of acropora yet.
Chad231
It’s better to talk about it in person when you come; we’ll tell you everything then.
Christopher7213
Off-topic I'll be happy to listen!
Sorry for the flood!
Breanna9982
and I heard something like that somewhere...............well noted
Nicholas
Two weeks...
the skimmer removed the first half cup
of coal, chemipure
the settling began...
three types of actinies,
several soft corals, zoanthids, 4 LPS, clavularia, briarium, frag of seriatosporas
a pair of clownfish, a couple of pseudochromis, a dozen anthias, a handful of viridis
6 strombus, 3 ophiuroids, 3 debelius, boxer
Jade
In the photo, the pen appears small.
Ricardo7341
A lot of dirt and simply condensate collects in the dirt collection cup, which, when mixed with the dirt, also turns brown, making it seem like the foam collector has gathered a lot of skimmate.
Susan9583
Where do you see a lot of skimmate? It hasn't been skimming for two weeks. The aquarium was empty, what is there to collect? Under good load, it collects that much in 2-3 days...

Considering 2x75x75, I dealt quite well with all the wiring. It's already noticeable. There will be more to come. I wish you good luck.
Holly
Ah... so that's where the hipatus from your frag book went...
Chad
How was the green cineraria attached to the live rocks? And how does it feel there?
The red one, on the sand, seems to be even less open than the green one on the rocks.
Joe
just shoved it into the gap
the state of it doesn't depend on what it's resting on...
it depends more on the light
Justin
Is Sania on the second photo on the right under the current of Hemitaurichthys polylepis? Are the corals untouched?
Nicole263
, beautiful.) Is this caulerpa with such green bushes? How do you control its growth?
Daniel132
I can't say for sure, I rarely see the aquarium... there are no obvious signs.
Martin3206
It is growing quite intensively.
Weeding...
The aquarium is generally pleasing, but not everything is settled yet...
Jenny
Kevin
Intriguing, impressive, beautiful, and very much...
Rachel
a truly beautiful reef is emerging..........
