Due to the move to a new aquarium, I decided to create a topic to record the subsequent events and seek advice. The aquarium is 125x55x60, the sump is 80x40x45. The lighting consists of 8 T5 lamps - 4 ATI Blue Plus and 4 white lamps. The lighting fixture is Giesemann. The filtration system currently includes two skimmers: 1. Aquamedic Blue 1000 (the original AQ 1200 pump has been replaced with an RH 2500) and 2. GroTech 150. The lift pump is Aquamedic OR 2500. The flow pumps are Resun 15000, Sansun 12000, and 5000 liters. Currently, there is no specific arrangement in the aquarium, and the rocks and corals are haphazardly placed, so we will need to think about how

Credit! I actually like this composition. It's unusual.

Will the aquarium be without sand?

Patricia

There will be sand, but very little. I think a maximum layer of 5 mm, just for aesthetics. In the old aquarium, the sand that was behind the rocks became a solid mass, and the amount of dirt in it was just terrible. So I will try with almost no sand.

Nicole

I will set up the next aquarium without sand! Too much waste accumulates in it... And the quality of the sand itself leaves much to be desired...

How much did the equipment cost you? And how noisy does it operate?

Megan

The equipment operates relatively quietly. It's hard to say how much everything cost since it was purchased at different times. Approximately, the set including the aquarium, stand, and equipment is 15,000.

Joshua3019

FAT!

Brianna

What do you mean? This is practically the MINIMUM, especially considering that a lot was done by hand, and with three years of experience wasting money on unnecessary equipment.

Rachel

Congratulations! The number of amateur poets is increasing. That's good, there will be places to run with the clippers...

Carrie1606

Not Leha... I'll drop by you first... P.S. And a special thank you to the gentleman for his direct involvement in the preparation and loading-unloading operations.

How much does the equipment cost, not including the aquarium and the stand? I have a 650-liter aquarium with a drain shaft and a stand designed for a sump. It’s just sitting in the living room, and I’m afraid I won’t be able to sleep because everyone scared me that it would be noisy... And as for the equipment (I don’t really understand anything about marine setups), I think it will be expensive. That’s why I’m consulting. Maybe someone can suggest what equipment I should put in there (links). I would be very grateful, but I want it to have a minimal noise level.

Hunter1471

I have it in the living room, I can sleep. But it makes noise, of course, but not critically. What is meant by equipment? If it's a skimmer, there are models that are practically silent, and if the pump is normal, it won't make noise either. It all depends on your capabilities. I once had an Atman pump on standby, and I slept poorly even in another room. For example, if you take the Aqua Medic OR 3500 pump, it costs around 1100. The skimmer is about 4000. Resun flow pumps are silent, costing 700 each. Something like that. You can find everything more expensive. You can find cheaper options, but they are noisier.

Amy1672

And also what kind of pH regulators and ozonators do I need and how much can they cost???

Jacob4800

What do you raise calcium with?

Kendra2262

Calcium chloride, soda... In general, balling.

Tanya

Here are some photos I took...

John3335

Zhenya, are all the lights on and is the brightness in the photo real???

Michael826

That's it. The camera gives a slightly darker picture (how to adjust it, who knows). Visually, there is enough light. I really like the combination of blue plus with white; in my opinion, it's just what is needed (it creates a soft blue light). For an experiment, you can put one red lamp and see what happens.

Jennifer5371

Yeah... there's enough light. Try putting one actinic light, there's plenty of red here.

Larry9400

Then everything will be pale blue. But it's worth a try.

Offtopic, I would like to see who in Dnipro has this entire filtration system to at least understand what it's about and why it's needed... Here on the forum, I don't quite understand everything - some are talking about a skimmer, others about a foam generator... Who can take me on a tour in Dnipro - who has a sea?
