• A small sea on the shore of a large

  • Erin

Hello! The salt and stones have finally arrived. I've already salted and mixed. Added distillate, salinity dropped to 1019, added a little salt, will check in an hour. Didn't see ova on the stones, but some red worm (about 1cm long) is crawling in the bucket.

Rachael

Salinity can be guessed quite accurately if you measure the salt on kitchen scales. You need between 33 and 36 grams per liter of water. The shown device is very inaccurate. Try to avoid fluctuations like up to 1.019. Are the stones lying in your plate? How many stones did you take? Are they lying dry?

Allison

salt red sea 1kg-30l. before topping up, I checked if it was not too little. then 10l of water and added a bit more salt, I want 1024-1025, not 1026 - I will stir for an hour - I will check. if needed, I will add more. I don't have scales, 4 kg of salt - 65 glasses SV. the stones in the bucket are from the tetra salt 20kg (diameter 31cm). there is 2-3cm of water, I water them periodically, they arrived an hour and a half ago. I ordered 3kg, but there is more than that.

Emma

What size is the aquarium? Isn't 3 kilos a bit too small?

Andrew9581

50 liters is not enough, it's just for the start, and it's cheaper in case of force majeure. Is the salinity higher or lower at 23 degrees than at 25? I added more water, the temperature dropped to 22, and now it's rising, but the salinity is stuck at 1020-1021. Should I add a bit more salt or wait?

Natalie

The salinity is the same, but the density is different. The higher the temperature, the lower the density.

Thomas1044

For many future residents, such density will be insufficient. At 25 degrees, aim for 1.023 to 1.026.

Maria6659

Forget all the norms. 50 liters of water is also not a standard. Are you salting the water in the aquarium? Is there already some sand in it? If there is, it will absorb a bit. Nothing will happen with live rocks, and they will be enough for your initial setup. But if you add another 3 kg later, that will be a second setup. Don't delay and buy more live rocks. Although I would prefer dry reef rock instead of live rocks. But don't listen to me; I'm still inexperienced in marine aquariums.

Omar3497

You don't have to take 100. You can get the Chinese ones for 35. You can convert T8 to T5. T5 will be more powerful. Plus, I would add more light. But that's a rhetorical question. It all depends on the type of livestock you plan to keep. Regarding salting. Have you salted? Did you put in the rocks? Now step away from the aquarium for 5-7 days, and then do the tests and think about all the various deposits on the sands, etc. But keep an eye on the salinity, depending on the evaporation.

Lori4746

Off-topic. I apologize for the flood of messages, but all your fuss reminds me of a commotion on a sinking ship, grabbing who knows what and running who knows where. Everything seems thoughtless and unserious in your approach. I can't understand it.

Hannah

At two o'clock, the stones and salt arrived, at seven the aquarium with water and stones, I'm just learning. Maybe I'm not quite right, but planning six months ahead is not part of my plans, and this applies not only to the aquarium. Experience will come in the process. And the 70 USD for the stones and salt didn't come easily to me - it's a shame to waste them.

John3187

Forget the thought of washing live rocks under the tap forever. And try never to think about it again. In extreme cases, if you really want to rinse them, it can be done with freshly prepared saltwater, followed by settling and returning it to the aquarium. Washing live rocks under the tap will leave them with no chance of being alive.

Chad231

After putting the sponge on the filter, the cloudiness cleared up and today the aquarium is more or less okay. It turned out I have 2 kilos of live rock and 3 kilos of dry reef rock, but I forgot to mention this (I called). I added about 150 grams of salt (dissolved the concentrate in a bottle) - it barely rose to 1022. So, that's about 1.650 kg for 40 liters. In the second photo in the cup - who is this, already dead (a fish)? Should I leave it or remove it?

Ryan1989

If you take a calculator, it turns out to be oversalted, specifically 41.25g/L. You can throw away the "toy" with the arrow; otherwise, you'll be scratching your head for a long time wondering why you're throwing away the living creatures.

Yolanda

Did at least one ick come out of these live rocks? I think these are dry reef rocks that were put in the aquarium for a week or two and then sold to you...

Joseph8592

It's correct. You can also check it on another aquarium.

James

The black thing is a sponge. Don't touch it, let it be; even though it's unlikely to keep it alive, there won't be any harm from its decomposition.

Andrea8397

Turbik, come over for a visit. Let's have some coffee. I'll show you the aquarium. I'll share what I know - it seems like you could really use it. Bring a measuring cup of your water - I'll measure it with a refractometer.

Angela7060

I'll stop by for a beer. Is that okay?

James3382

And what is the conclusion?

Melissa3200

Thank you for the invitation! I'll drop by in about a week, not earlier. On Tuesday, I'll go for the inspection at Malinovskogo, and when I'm done, I'll stop by. The weather isn't suitable for flying right now, it's hard to go anywhere. The readings might be the same. On Tuesday, I'll measure at Aqualife. - For now, there are no living creatures and none are expected, so 1022 can stay, there’s no other option for now. Later, I'll just get Tetra salt or some other kind. I'll see how it goes with that. ****** I provided a link stating that this salt is generally for tap water, but I don't feel like trying anything.

Jessica6754

Some more inhabitants emerged, sorry, but I don't know the names yet. Worms from the hole (either a phlegmatic or something sticking to the fins) and under the stone, and some kind of leg or head.

Brenda

Everyone has their own ideas about tap water. In St. Petersburg, for example, the water from the tap is like "the Amazon." Tetra salt is quite good, but you will still have to dilute it in osmosis.

Luis3725

Polychaete worms are good colonizers.

Kathy

I provided a link that there are two types of Red Sea salt: Red Sea salt and Red Professional. The first is intended for tap water in Israel, and this salt has less Ca and Mg, while the second is only for osmotic water and distillate with higher calcium and magnesium content than the first. Our tap water is poison for the reef (proven by fools, and they lost everything in two to three months). I personally use Tetra's salt and am currently satisfied. Yes, and only with osmotic water. Added after 3 minutes Is it really true that in such a large city as Odessa, they don't sell osmotic water in stores? I can't believe it.

Nicholas2252

I haven't seen osmotic water in the stores of Odessa, but there is some in the pharmacy.

Tonya

It's called Red Sea Coral Pro. This is what the bucket looks like. The salt is not bad, but in many opinions, and in my experience as well, there is too much calcium in it - it creates an imbalance with the carbonate. It's not fatal, but it's still there.

Julia

It's better to have your own osmosis. If you don't have it yet, you can take from us if you wish. If necessary, there is water with TDS 0.

Brenda

Hello. Here is an interesting link about Red Sea salt, read it (whether it's true or not, but it's interesting). P.S. Red Sea Coral Pro salt is a good salt, and I have nothing against it; many of my acquaintances have been using it for many years and do not complain.

Erica752

Hello. I read this. I think it's all true.

Megan

I took the first one for testing, for tap water, just red sea, without coral, and the packaging is lighter than that of coral. I also mentioned its parameters above, the norm is 1021 at 24g. Tomorrow I will try to mix a liter in the tap water - according to the instructions, 33g/l, I will measure the density. No, I won't pour it into the aquarium, just for checking. I only found distilled water at the pharmacy, there is no osmosis, and even that is only in those pharmacies where they prepare medications. Can you tell me if these worms need to be fed or not?

Tina

The address was assigned not long ago, so it is not in the GIS. It is located between the club and the Black Sea road.

Jessica6754

yes.

Ryan2281

Well, that's exactly what I'm saying, just in two words.

Brent5588

Dear, it seems that you do not hear us or do not understand. Tap water is poison for a marine aquarium, yet you stubbornly ignore the advice given to you and continue to do everything the opposite way. With this approach, everything is doomed to fail. You will understand later, if you understand at all.

Amanda5586

+1.

Bryan1851

I can hear and understand everything perfectly; everything is written after the comma.

Collin

If you check the salt parameters, use water based on RO, but definitely not tap water, especially since in Odessa it is far from the best. What can you expect by mixing 33g per liter with tap water? A bouquet of nitrates, phosphates, and formaldehydes as a bonus? And according to the MЭ, the indicators will turn out to be undefined... As a result, even the density indicator with tap water may not be accurate...

Anthony7814

I want to check the density, the rest will be off the charts, I know. In the avka on the distillate with a salt concentration of 41 g/L, the density hangs around 1021-1022; with 36-37 g/L, it's the same. I checked it with that toy from the first post and the Sеровский (I don't know on what, probably on mercury) hydrometer.

Vanessa

Buy yourself a refractometer...

Lee425

I have a JBL hydrometer. I'm quite satisfied with it! I bought it from A. They use the same ones. I checked it with them right away.

Alicia5489

Among the listed options, +/- JBL, but there are better ones.

Natalie

In Odessa...? Turn to him, he will find it.

Jacob4800

I took the tests here: If you order a package for 500, delivery to your home by courier is free. So you don't even have to go anywhere, and I haven't found anything cheaper...

Megan

I wouldn't take JBL.

Michael5242

Basically, it doesn't really matter what to take, any tests lie, you have to get used to any of them, but it's better to take the whole line from one manufacturer, then it will be easier to get used to their quirks...

Richard2180

Good evening! The dry stone in the aquarium is starting to turn brown. Is this normal or is there a problem with the light (is it too weak)? Right now, there is one regular 15-watt 765 spectrum light, I can install another one - I have the wiring. I ordered a Hagen Marin Glow, it's out of stock, but it should be available by the end of the week.

Melissa3820

Isn't it easier to use one MG Coral 20000K?

Courtney4094

Then why buy it if they are lying?

John5528

Hagen ine-Glo - isn't it here? And it's better to use them together with Power glow in pairs. I ordered it for myself to try, thinking of adding it somehow to Resan.

Debra6575

There may be, but I ordered in Odessa, they just didn't have 15w in stock. The power lamp shines beautifully, it looks good in fresh water, but it gives a pink hue, although the aquarium under it is beautiful. I don't know how they will look together, I will pick up the marina and ask to turn them on together.

Brandi

Where did you order it? In which store? I've already placed two orders in two online stores and haven't heard anything.

Hunter1471

In Aquawave, there will be a Marina 15 watts available, the girl will call, but the price... Is there a T5 in Resana? In Arowana, there is an Atman Coral Blue T8 - it's cheaper and also shines well (it’s at a friend's in a freshwater pseudo-sea), but their delivery is already annoying me.

Jeremy

Today I added another 2 kg of sand, bought a stone from Sasha (Thanks, it's great, why did I order those when I could get it practically next door...), but never mind. I put the stone in the aquarium, and immediately some little white creature quickly burrowed into the sand, I didn't even get to see who it was. You asked me if I bought an anemone? Yes, I think I bought an aiptasia. I'm not sure, I'll post a photo, but the quality of the compact camera is poor, it's hard to see, and there's a freshwater shrimp on the side, so I can't see. At least there's some variety, as I'm getting tired of just worms.

Amber

Such small iphtasias do not exist. It looks more like a small actinia; let it grow, then it will be clear.

Maria

Today I found another resident - I thought it was a flower, took a closer look, and there was a mouth... There are bubbles on the edges of the petals, but not on all of them. Who is this? Should I feed it?

Lynn4242

I think it's the same as three posts above.

Natasha

Then it's a fan worm, but you can't tell from the photo. Well, for now, just observe; you can always kill it later...

Alyssa1438

this is the anemone Entacmaea quadricolor the freebie has worked I had a hundred of them... they spread into all the cracks

Vincent

It's not exactly a freebie. Almost all my stones have turned brown due to the light (two are NOT 15W/765), the marina hasn't arrived yet, and the Atman Triviper will come on Thursday or Friday. Also, it seems that some thread algae have appeared (green or brown). I'll post photos later, so things in the aquarium aren't going well for now - the anemone might not survive.

Natasha

I would give the anemone to someone for temporary care. The aquarium is maturing. The algae are normal.

Chad

I thought it had already kicked the bucket, but no, it gathered itself and climbed back into the hole in the rock, a cool creature.

Debra

A couple of days ago, I found a small snail on the glass and decided that things in the aquarium aren't so bad after all, so today I bought a couple of strombus snails and some algae (my green coating on the rocks, filamentous algae, and some other light brown ones have already become boring). I don't know how strombus snails clean the sand, but they certainly produce a lot of waste. Can you advise me on what to feed them and how often? And who else should I get to make the rocks look decent?

Mariah

Little dog.

Linda

Knowledge and a basic understanding of the laws of the sea. I wrote to you in post 15, but you still didn't understand me, and the result is evident.

Danielle

So if they are messing around, why feed them anymore? P.S. Take the advice of ***a**! A forum is one thing, but the pursuit of healthy knowledge is another.

Christopher1252

Hermits. They also poop.

Ronald5720

I listen to advice, but I don't like lectures.

Brooke

This is your problem, which I don't have and never had, simply because I read a lot, listened, watched, photographed, and recorded what I couldn't remember, and then I presented it prepared. You shouldn't make people laugh like this now. I can only marvel at how quickly you want everything without putting in any effort; one saying fits here (make sure it doesn't turn out this way): I want everything quickly and at once, but I get nothing and gradually.

Tanya

Sorry, I can't multi-quote. 1. You're lucky reading forums, books, and looking at pictures - this is true for 90%, not just me. 2. I'm not a clown to make you laugh, as in point 1. 3. I get what I get, and it's always the same. And what does it have to do with working hard - do I need to clean corals with a toothbrush?

Helen

Don't scold him. He spent his whole life in camps (he wrote this to me himself). But as a specialist, he is very valuable. So take his advice as quotes from the regulations of the guard service (the presentation may also be poor, but the meaning is there).

Maria6659

Off-topic. I remember, I remember there was a guy in shorts and a red bow tie running around like a sea man, and in a jar there were guppies; oh, he was really struggling to scoop water from the sea, poor guy. The most important thing is that he doesn't take your advice seriously; then he can definitely forget about the sea. Other than that, I just wish you patience and good luck.

Cassandra7840

Off-topic, yes, I listen to any advice, but I don't always take it to heart. Your advice is almost always useful (I read the forum), but I can't treat your advice as a rule—if I mess up my rhyme, it's my own fault—but that's also experience, albeit sad and costly. That's why I sometimes react sharply to criticism. Not everything you do is standard either, but judging by the photos, it's in excellent condition. Thank you for the wishes, same to you.

Robert1845

Why are you feeding the iPad?

Matthew

The shrimp or helmon will arrive - and there's such a party here, a feast for a week. Besides, there's no one else to feed for now, and the aiptasia is eating nicely, with two more nearby fighting over a worm.

Erin

If you're going to get Helmon, let me know, I'll get it too - we can order together) By the way, I have a Centropyge bicolor butterfly in my aquarium - it pulls out the Aptasia, I don't have them anymore, but when I bought the butterfly, there were two, and it pulled them out. Moreover, the fish is resilient and quickly adapts to a new environment, while with Helmon it's 50/50.

Michael5242

The search yields the bicolor centropyge - a dwarf angel, and the Chelmon is exactly the same striped butterflyfish - Chelmon Rostratus. I will be getting it in about two months - I need to feed the aiptasia more, and right now my tank is not in good shape - it's an expensive fish, 50-70 euros.

Megan

Good afternoon! Has anyone used the SunSun JVP-101 circulation pump, 3000 l/h? I'm interested if it can be used for a size of 90x40x40 (140 liters), meaning will three tons be too much for that volume?

Jerry

Is it probably tastier this way? Just giraffes.

Brian

With such pebbles, the aquarium will take a long time to mature...

Rodney7316

What do you mean? I didn't quite understand.

Kathryn514

I agree with the stone! What kind of stone is it and where is it from? And the butterfly isn't worth that much, approximately 20 dollars.

Jessica5016

Yes, the stone is fine there, it's half dry, and it's overgrown, and the light is not MH. Where is that Helmon butterfly for $20? I'll take two, I'll sell one Nak. Maybe it has risen to $20, and I missed it all.

Angela

You should inquire about the prices of all maritime suppliers, not just those in Odessa! If you're interested, provide your email, and I'll send you the price list on Monday!

John5528

You need to resolve the issue of adding live rocks to the aquarium as soon as possible, almost up to the ceiling. Contact suppliers from Kyiv or others. The processes in your aquarium are currently not going in the right direction. It could get worse—your planned fish will ultimately disrupt the biobalance with its metabolism.

Richard2180

In Odessa, I only know A, the rest are all in Kyiv. CA, Airif, and (sorry if I wrote it incorrectly). I looked at their prices, they are almost the same. It's cheaper with wheels, but as a beginner, I would definitely ruin such a fish. Thanks for the advice, my email is mail.ru.

Andrea

I will send the price list on Monday!

Daniel9952

Good afternoon! In the aquarium I am planning to move to, there is an internal filter. It hides a thermometer, and the media includes a sponge, bio balls, ceramic rings, and sometimes carbon, with a pump model PH-1100. Should I leave it under the sea (it is just glued, cutting it off is possible but difficult)? If so, what should I fill it with?

Wendy2244

I think everything can be left as is, just wash the sponge more often!

Tammy

I would also like the price if it's not too much trouble)))

Tanner

Of course, it won't be a problem! I have already sent it!

Ashley5975

Leave the thermometer, pump, and ceramics; eliminate the sponge and bio balls. Instead, it's better to use large coral gravel or chunks in a net. For the stone: 20 kg, of which live rock is 10 kg. It's not much, but it's still better than nothing at all.

Melissa

Sorry for intruding into someone else's topic with my prices!

Travis572

This one will do (I just don't know the fraction) or is it better to break dry reef rock and stuff it in? I read from many people about "live rock rubble" in filters, is that a thing? Regular live rock is broken and placed in the filter? Should carbon or the same Chemi-Pure be in the marine aquarium filter constantly or periodically? Yes, no questions, this topic is of interest to many. I'm open to questions from other forum members and answers to them; in 90% of cases, it will be useful for me too.

Larry9400

Crushed stone will work. But if there is an opportunity to add broken live rock, which is dry reef rock, that’s also fine. Activated carbon can be used, but you should only use carbon intended for marine aquariums (M.A.) to avoid accumulating phosphates. You can find carbon from leading aquarium brands in stores. It’s better to use activated carbon as needed rather than continuously, as it has some negative effects in addition to its beneficial properties—it can remove essential trace elements and vitamins along with unwanted substances.

Tara2761

What can be used to glue dry reef rock so that it doesn't leach into the water later? I know about reef construct, but I was looking for something cheaper. The rocks are new and dry. Do you put plastic or something else under the rocks on the glass just in case (in case they shift)? Also, the pyramids end up being heavy.

Eric8832

Epoxylin. Tested by many. No radiation. Can be thrown into water without waiting for full curing.

Christopher

Epoxy X. I've been using it for over a year, everything is fine. Read here. Best regards.

Susan

I can also offer this glue))) I haven't compared prices with Epoxilin, but I'm absolutely sure that this glue doesn't leach and is specifically designed for marine aquariums.

Mary

Thank you! The price for half a kilo is reasonable, probably no need to crush it. But I need to glue 10-15 stones of 50-100g. For those with 30-40 kilograms or more, it's a good choice, especially for sea use.

Kevin3579

The glue KZ comes in powder form, the required dose is simply mixed with water...

Anna9752

A couple more raids and the ordered puppy will remain hungry. They polish excellently. And these are my most pampered, fattened mushrooms, but in the aquarium, there are still about 12, which is not good, but I only feed these. Before the move, I will probably "feed" the aiptasia, but I don't know how to "feed" the little ones.

Charles894

The pebbles have already taken shape, you can try to carefully apply the aiptasia, having previously removed the pebbles from the water, with hot water from a syringe, that...

Jasmine

They crawl into holes as soon as there's a hand or something nearby, and there's also iptazia-h. Before moving, I'll drain half the water so I don't have to use my hands and will "feed" with a syringe. Boiling water is hot, it will burn my hands, and the syringe might melt - I don't want that. If "x" doesn't help or wasn't there, then I'll try.

Phillip9722

let them climb, they won't get far, and the syringe should preferably not be disposable, but an old glass-metal one that was used before. No chemicals for destruction under any circumstances.

Stephanie3084

so it's specially made for this purpose many people use it and it's fine.

Teresa

It is possible and normal, just not long ago at the Forum in one of the threads there were demonstrations on the destruction of aiptasia: with a whitish solution from a syringe (isn't that it?) Later, the whole reef suffered along with it, so...

Craig7302

Yes, the white liquid will have to be tested with boiling water; I don't have any calcium carbonate.

David4968

This is just a concentrated solution of calcium hydroxide.

Robin

Great, slaked lime, I'd rather pour in some iptazia-h. Just that I don't have enough lime in my aquarium for them to bend.

Adam4310

They use a type of lime that is cleaner than construction lime. Many aquarists compensate for all the evaporated water in the aquarium with this solution. The main thing is to understand the essence of things and know why it is done. There are even special devices made - a hydroxide mixer that constantly stirs the solution to facilitate dissolution. So nothing will go wrong for you.

James5103

Aiptasia is very difficult to get rid of. Boiling water, vinegar, and hydroxide are all half-measures; they will eventually come back. I've been through this myself. Helmon really helped. Although it might work in small amounts. Hydroxide solution helped quite well, but only for a while. There's no need to be afraid of it, just don't go overboard.

Kimberly2102

I will take Helmonas, but later, when I switch to 140 liters and some time has passed. They say it's picky about water quality. If I do it right away, it might "arrive" in my ecosystem. And where can I get this calcareous? I didn't see it in Central Asia, or maybe it's not there?

Natalie

There are branded powders for making calcium hydroxide. For example, like these. Or you can simply buy calcium hydroxide at a laboratory supply store.

Tiffany5069

Everything is correct, but what do we have in this case; 12+ may have 3 more little roses. There are no more on the stones if I'm not mistaken, no more issues... The procedure with boiling water may take 15-20 minutes. The problem at the moment is trivial; it could have been solved and forgotten a long time ago...

Teresa

Good evening! I plan to move from a 50-liter to a 140-liter tank this weekend. How can I "move" my only strombus snails without them dying? 1. I have 8 kg of sand from the old tank and 10 kg of new sand. How should I layer them (top, bottom) or should I mix them all together? 2. Should I mix the missing water in the new tank, or should I pour out the old water and gradually add the new (freshly prepared) water? 3. I have already removed the dry rock from the tank, dried it, and arranged it (somewhat arranged, rock or not) on a ventilation grate. Should I leave the grate only under the rocks (just in case moles appear) or place it along the entire length? The aquarium is 90x40x40 made of 8 mm glass.

Debra

I moved like this: I laid down stones and then added sand (in your case, I would mix the old and new), the pouring of water in your case is not important, and for reliability, you should poke the strombus before introducing them, just like with a new purchase to stabilize the parameters. (Although to be honest, I used to introduce strombus right away and everything was fine, then someone said they are afraid of pH fluctuations, so I started poking them too; it's not difficult for me.)

Johnny

I haven't used ipazia yet, I poisoned a couple of big ones with vinegar (a little bit from an insulin syringe), but in a couple of days, almost as many small ones grew back. According to the latest prices, the centropyge bicolor is more expensive than the helmon. Well, that's all for the next shipment. Caulerpa - is that the grape? I took the green one from Sasha, but after about four days, they turned half white, so they didn't take root. I'll try again now.

William5838

Come on, launch the 140L jar. Very interesting. What kind of light will it be?

Andrea

Don't you have an osmosis system? Why are you silent? I have an osmosis system in my office; if you need water, come with your bottle, and I'll fill it up.))))))

Caleb6320

Thank you, yes, I'm taking water from Sasha, there is a lot of it. I need a lot for the move right now, but usually, I would lose about 2-3 liters a week in 50 liters + two 5-liter changes over a month and a half.

Kenneth7210

This is how my miracle of Chinese technology has been working lately. "Female dog." For a month, it was either foam with water (half a liter a day) or low foam levels, and now it has burst. Everyone is complaining, but I think it has paid off its $9 investment by 200%. I wanted to throw it away, but no, now I'll keep it, it's a shame.

Rick

He got scared)))

Megan

He is useless.

Alicia5489

Come on, it's not useless; it has dug out so much mud for me this month, and there are no creatures, while I've fed the Aiptasia about five times in total. If the hanging frog 180 performs the same way in 140 liters, it will be just great. P.S. I know that the same Deltak 300 works significantly better, but it also costs ten times more than the frog.

Jeremy8404

Take a look at the photo. There's a bit of white foam. It doesn't smell like a swamp at all.

Patrick4439

I have a Jebo Protein Skimmer 182 in one of my aquariums. It's suitable for small aquariums. Since it's placed deep, raise it so that the tube where the water flows out is above the water level. It will work better, trust me. Here are a couple of photos (this is what it skimmed overnight). Best regards.

Daniel132

Good job, now it will carry you from start to finish (then 250 liters are not far off) Keep it up..

Rachael

Thank you! For 250, I need to expand my apartment first; it's better not to overload the ceilings here, or else the sea will be with the neighbors. I started having an allergy from the freshwater (mainly from dirty sponges), so I'm giving up on them, but I liked my Malawians.

Jill1815

Finally filled it completely, a couple of kg of live rocks will be added on the left, and the slope on the right will remain as it is.

Dennis

Where are you going to place the corals? I initially thought about putting just a little bit of live rock, around 6-7 kg for the 94 liters, but when I started arranging everything, I realized there was no space at all and it wouldn't look nice.

Frank7213

I didn't quite understand? For corals, there's space in the aquarium until morning, and I don't want too many, just for looks and "just to have." Or do they need a lot of rocks? I want a "wooden" fish and clownfish.

Kenneth7331

TechJ.K. (live stones), you will have too few of them. You will quickly fill them with corals. The rest will have to be placed on the sand.

Frederick

I will add a little more live rock, and I can put the corals in the dry reef rock as well; there is plenty of space, and it will be good for the brightness of the piles since it looks a bit pale for now.

Courtney4094

Well, I warned you, chief.

Andrea8397

Well, that's it for now.

Dana4701

The aquarium is maturing (the whole aquarium is dirty). I noticed what cyanobacteria looks like (turning brown, spreading, and called differently) on the sand, rocks, and glass, specifically on the front. In one tank, live rocks are breeding like rabbits; I'm already considering "drowning it under the faucet in warm water." I killed 3 with vinegar, and in the morning, 5 grew back. The foam frog finally got adjusted and started working; I also tied a sponge to the rotor (6 regular blades) with fishing line, which started producing smaller bubbles and drier foam. But the sponge won't last long; I need to think about an enkomat.

Rodney3101

A suede cleaning sponge will last a bit longer, I've tried it.

Larry

After looking once again at the inhabitants of my aquarium (2 strombus and about 25 aiptasia), I decided to get something, but since everyone had supplies at the end of the month, the choice was not great. I settled on another tractor (slightly smaller, my cyan face ones have eaten well) and got my first coral - a small sarc (still not fully opened). Once it opens up properly, I'll take a photo. I also got a piece of enkomata, I will wind it on the rotor, as the sponge works for 4-5 days and then stops producing foam. I will also replace the Jebao pump with an Atman, for now without modifications.

Laura3615

I have a sarc-idiot. For half a day, it was so hunched up that I thought it was going to die. An hour before the lights went out, it puffed up and released half of the polyps. The bedroom for clowns is ready.

Jennifer7578

Tell me more - how did you wind it? And how does it hold? The most that reacted to the change in conditions. It should get used to it over time (a day or two).

John3165

I made small grooves on the top/bottom of the blades (for the line to enter) and stitched it with fishing line. On the Atman, I cut off half of the blades (it was jamming with the enkomat) and also used fishing line. You can drill holes in the blades and thread the line through there. It holds up fine. In the topic A (I don't remember which one exactly), there are pictures showing how to wind and how to embroider with a cross. The current was interfering with the sark (all the lamps were on), the foam was shifted, and the sark was open. On the opposite side, there was also a head blowing on it; maybe the current was colliding there, and it didn't like it.

Laura4892

For a month and a half, only strombus and aiptasia were in the tank, but towards the end, I added a sarc and it was fine. A couple of hours later, Nikulin and Kuklachev are splashing around, and I want about five more, not different ones, not just clowns. Thanks to Igor, the packaging was great; the fish were almost 12 hours on the road, and the water was still a bit cool upon arrival. The fish are lively and eating well. Everyone is trying to get into the sarc, but they are scared, brushing against it, turning around, and swimming in circles again.

Lisa

It's hard to photograph them, they're constantly on the move. Can you tell me how to add a video?

Laurie3842

You can do it on YouTube! You just need to register, then send the link.

Allison

I understand that, but why can't the photo just be uploaded to the site?

Christina9947

James

Good afternoon! Could you please tell me, there was a small piece of stone lying on a big stone, everything was fine. I didn't pay attention, but yesterday I noticed it in this condition - covered with moss, bulges (although I removed everything from the shell on the sarcophagus) and a white substance around it that looks like moss too. I haven't touched or removed it yet. What is this and what should I do - scrape it off and throw it away? Also, on the back wall and some stones, there is some filamentous growth. What should I do about that? It doesn't cause any problems since a dog is supposed to arrive in a couple of weeks and eat it.

Kevin8087

This is the seaweed "sailor's eye" Valonia, a genus of green algae found in tropical seas. There are about 10 species. As for the white one, it could be a sponge. I know that during the rapid growth of Valonia, it displaces lower organisms, but it can also smother some corals with its colonization of empty spaces. Therefore, its population can be easily regulated without harming the reef. So there is no reason for concern; let it live. I have a lot of it in the reef, in some places patches of stones are covered with it up to 10 cm (it looks pretty cool).

Stefanie9771

Thank you! I read about the bulbs. The piece of stone (it's a dry reef stone, lying on a large stone of dry reef stone as well) that is covered with green moss raises more questions, and if the white one is a sponge, then where did it come from?

Barbara8192

they reproduce by spores

Guy

Good day! Today I accidentally found some strange creatures in my aquarium. They look like snails, but which ones exactly? And most importantly, where should they go? Down the toilet or back into the aquarium? I caught one, but there are at least a few more swimming in the tank.

Craig7302

This is Stoella sp., a gastropod mollusk that often comes with live rock. Its presence in the aquarium is highly desirable as it is a fierce enemy of lower algae. Due to the reduction of its shell, only a small calcareous plate remains on top; it is very mobile and reproduces quite easily in the aquarium. I have many of them as well. There can be no talk of a toilet... By the way, sorry for the question, what is your name?

Stephen5857

but turbik has been around for about 10 years, since school. Thank you for the response! I just laid the stones a long time ago, only added sarcophyton and clowns, and in the aquarium, some snails come out, and there are chimneys sticking out of the stones (by the way, from dry reef rock), sponges, white fluffy balls (slightly oval, also with a chimney). My soap dish doesn't take good photos; only macro shots from 10 cm away from the front glass come out well, further not so much (even though it's a Nikon at 8 MP). I'll take a DSLR to take pictures, as I don't even know who lives in my aquarium. P.S. And the speed of this snail is indeed jet-like.

Andrew9246

I have brown and whitish turbiks, but I haven't observed them, although I've been following their nighttime behavior for a long time. Night photos of one of them, a little one.

Angel628

White oval balls may be varieties of Sucon sp. and Clathrina sp., all of which are filter organisms, and their normal presence should indicate normal water parameters.

Martin3206

No, it's not them. As I understand, mine are worms that hatch from a hard white circle resembling a single turn of a spiral, but they might just appear nearby. The digital camera is smudged, it doesn't capture well. I think the water I have isn't great (or the light isn't right) - the Aptasia and lower forms are thriving - a couple of stones are overgrown with a forest (not all), although I also trim the macro "forest" and "long leaves" under the lamp every two weeks during water changes. But I've already ordered a dog and Helmon, so for now, I'm not fighting it; let them grow their food.

Debra6575

In post 172, I didn't figure out the commas, which is why I wrote about the oval white balls, well, I think let the information remain... after all, if we're being specific, such things do exist... and regarding the water parameters... time will work in a positive way...

Courtney

Another resident, as he was thrown in, immediately attached himself to the strombus (a little smaller than the strombus), probably already set his sights on a new living space. It’s necessary to buy a couple of shells just in case.

Jeffrey2277

No one will get into the aiptasia. This is not the case. Additional shells for the hermit crab won't help. He has his own plans for your strombus.

William5838

Yes, I was joking about theiptasia, since there are threads and cyanobacteria in the aquarium - the water isn't great, so I'm hesitant to put the anemone in, especially since I need a carpet for the ocellaris (according to the chart), and it's too expensive until morning. I think the strombus was just getting acquainted; now the hermit crab is sitting on a small separate rock (catching something), while the strombus is working as always. P.S. I have three strombus, so I'm not too worried about losing one, but I'll throw in a couple of shells for the hermit crab to "glamorize."

Dana4701

Well, look...

Daniel

Sanya, who told you that a hermit crab will only eat one? I had a strombus survive two large hermit crabs, but that's more of an exception... "You need a carpet for ocellaris (according to the table)." Well, you really... As soon as the aquarium is ready for the anemone, which varies for everyone, get a bubble and don't confuse yourself and the clowns. It's stable and the cost is reasonable, but the clowns might settle in quickly or not at all. And they might not settle in the carpet.

Brandy

They will sit in Entakmeia, sooner or later they will sit down... where will they go - it's theirs...

Tasha

Max, I want an euphyllia - a quadricolor is almost the same, I'll take something. I want to see how they behave when the blenny, helmon, and foxface arrive (so I don't have to stress about it ten times), maybe they'll even fit in the sark - one will definitely fit there. No, well, I'll just buy them another bed. P.S. In Odessa, there are no problems with strombus, well, either I'll cram a 19-liter tank or I'll set up a sump for the hermits.

Loretta5483

Euphilia is great!!! Just keep one thing in mind - euphilia is very aggressive... Be careful placing corals near it, or better yet, keep them far away. Not everything can always be measured by availability and money... It would simply be a shame for the strombus. Watch closely.

Kayla7655

Today, when I approached the aquarium, I saw legs near the hiding place of the brittle star - I thought it had died, as it had been sitting with its back to the glass in practically the same spot for a couple of days. I was about to pull out its shell - but no, it was alive, just molting. Now it's back on its rock and catching something in the water. It still hasn't eaten the strombus - I even cleaned one, but that "little rascal" turned green again during the day. P.S. No one in my aquarium had molted before, so I hadn't observed this process.

Paul

One clown found himself a little actress - he sleeps with her for the second night. The second one hides there only "during the commotion," sleeping beneath the surface.

Brian

On Thursday, I finally got the "trump card hermits" from Rey - they are quite the creatures - polishing stones, and the "turbine" - how do they fit so much in them. Another coral appeared - capnella (thanks to Tanya for that). The clowns are still sleeping in the algae, although I need to get a small actinia from Sasha (the big one is a bit scary). The fish is supposed to arrive on Friday - I'll take photos then.

Kathy

Tomorrow is Friday. This is not an aquarium, but a nerve sucker - one fish from the shipment got sick again and probably will, and I couldn't send the other two today. P.S. Max has already managed to change his fox (I wanted a fox for myself too).

Tami

Two, "Lo is coming to me on the weekend. I got ahead of you, I still need to grab Hipatus.

Noah1632

Yes, I'm aware. Hepatus is a royal surgeon? If so, someone took it in the Eye of Rife, but the price is not small...

Mark

Good afternoon! My sarco's leg is rotting at the attachment point to the rock. I'm wondering if I can cut it off and attach it to another rock (removing the rotting parts), and if so, how to attach it (using gel or somehow tying the leg)?

Elizabeth882

You can cut it, and to attach it, you can either pin it with a toothpick (if the stone's structure allows) or pull it together with rubber bands (but it's important not to pull too tight, otherwise it will break along the tight spots).

Ricardo7341

I cut off the rotting part today, bought some Lugol's solution, if it starts to rot - I'll cut it off. Could you please provide more details about the toothpick - what, where, and how? He is not a frayed one, he is normal with a leg - I don't want a rubber one - it expands 3-4 times more than the fully shrunk one when opened. Is there no way to glue it?

Lindsey3362

You can try to glue it, but they usually glue hard corals, and I'm not sure there will be enough adhesion with the living soft tissue. You can poke the edges with toothpicks like pins and attach them to the rock. Once it grows in, you can remove it.

Phillip9722

Softness adheres well with super glue. I tried "hopeless" pieces - the result is actually quite good.

Kathy

Well, finally my workers Blenny and Helmon have arrived. Blenny is already munching on the "back wall" - there's a thread there, and Helmon is also catching something for himself (I hope it's small Aiptasia, the big ones won't fit in his mouth yet). The Sark isn't very good, even after yesterday's execution, so I'm already drying a piece of rock and will cut and re-glue it. Photos later, as the fish are still occasionally in a "panic."

Brent5588

Helmon is most likely looking for some small crustaceans in the rocks; if it doesn't start pecking at the aiptasia right away, it's not a big deal. Mine only touched them after a week or two, and even then it was quietly... It's kind of scary to have such a large sarka leg on glue; it's heavy and even the smallest current will lift it and prevent it from sticking. Maybe at least find a stone with a good hole and insert the leg tightly with glue... Read more here:

Catherine6534

Yes, he rarely eats even small ones entirely. The helmon has no issues with its teeth. So it will tear the aiptasia to pieces without any problems.

Kevin3579

Tanya, when it's inflated, it's big, but when you take it out or touch it with your hands, it becomes very small - I've already cut and glued it (dried the stone, blotted the cut on the leg with paper, and the moment glue works well). It sat in a bottle with Lugol's solution and a rubber band for an hour - it seems to have stuck well, I took off the rubber band and threw it in the aquarium, we'll see. The helmon is tearing up the aiptasia (I watched for about 15 minutes), but so far it's small, but that's already good. I have a lot of work with the blennies (I specifically didn't clean the back wall, didn't remove the stones, and didn't poison the aiptasias - let them feast).

Ryan

After the increase of the sarcoma "moment-gel," it successfully came off today. I have it secured with a rubber band for now; I don't want to poke it with toothpicks or syringe needles yet. In the evening, I will take a plastic tie from the epicenter and use it instead of the rubber band.

Joe

The photo shows a dog sitting far away, rarely coming forward. Helmon is eating Aptasia, not eating the dry food (I feed the clowns with flakes). Can you tell me if Helmon's tail was bitten off by a clown or if he got sick? (At night, Helmon sleeps not far from the "algae" of the clowns.)

Frederick

The helmon's tail will quickly regain its shape. Don't worry. Since the fish is very curious and gets into everything, it is sometimes "rewarded" for that.

Jill9137

Helmon is cool, and you really tied up the sark, it won't get untangled)))

Adrienne

I already attached it to the syringe needles - the rubber doesn't hold, it wobbles, and there are marks on the cap, it sometimes fluffs up two to three times.

Heather6148

If it doesn't rot and doesn't produce slime, then let it stay, why throw it away? Marine hydrobionts can remain in such a state for quite a long time. As a last resort, give it to someone with a successful aquarium.

Joshua9847

Don't be upset, it's a shame about Helman. It's 100% poisoned, and no one is immune to that. I had a similar experience with the first Helman; he seemed to be picking at the stones, but he wouldn't take the offered food, and after 10 days, he was gone. I raised the second one so that he would eat. I went through puddles in the forest park, in ditches where there are no freshwater fish, and caught fallen food, little devils, and large daphnia, and I fed him that for about a week. He started eating, and then I stopped feeding him. I offered him frozen food two days later, and he took it eagerly. He has been living with me for three years now, has grown large, and is completely tame. He takes any frozen food from my hands and sometimes I treat him to live food, once or twice a month.

Jesse

The main thing is to look at everything from the perspective that it will pass.

Steven

No, it's not rotting, there's no slime or mucus, well let it sit, I think my aquarium is already mature too. It's a pity, it's expensive, but... In the first few days, it ate aiptasia normally, then my clown started to nibble on it, and the dog a couple of times when it swam into her gap. I waited for Helmon for about two months, the first one got stuck at the temporary holding, this one is with me - well, I guess it's not meant to be. P.S. Although the little bugger is beautiful, everyone who visited liked it.

Steven

Here, no one argues, I mean that it's better to give it not to a beginner's aquarium, but to a place where similar hydrobionts thrive well. I had a case with a briarium that developed normally for about 1.5 months after purchase, and even a new colony formed from it. After some time, the main colony just closed up and stayed that way for about a month (while the daughter colony felt great and grew), and now it is opening up normally again. So everything can still turn out well with your sarcom.

Danielle9144

Yes, it was a wonderful fish, I was lucky to see it live, apparently, it really takes quite an effort to keep such beauty, according to the words. Wundermani is easier to care for, but it will definitely eat Ksyukha, and it might nibble on other harmless ones as well, so maybe it makes sense to try again?

Tammy2040

The attempt will be number three. Soft ones are not a problem - I'll put it in a 19-liter tank, I have it once or twice, and there are plenty of iptazia. Helmon will come, but later, at the end of autumn, beginning of winter (in that corner, I need to put up wallpaper and lay laminate, it would be good if "rockla" fits under the cabinet, and by that time I'll also install the osmosis, overflow, a small sump, and I need a different foam). After that, I'll get Helmon and a fox or a surgeon.

Danny

Yesterday, something probably died in the forest, as I didn't like the look of my sarc. After watching a couple of videos and studying a few pages of text on "how to make macrame from a sarc," it was successfully "propagated" into 3 mini-sarcs. Everything seemed to go well, as the polyps started to release about an hour after the procedure. It's hanging in the quarantine tank on the side glass - it's sticking. The "patient" is recovering from anesthesia, and the appearance isn't great for now - I'll post a photo of my handiwork in a couple of days.

Christopher7213

I understand that it's already possible to line up for new sarkis. How is the rest of the livestock doing? Send me a photo )) My ocellaris are suffering a lot without an anemone; black spots have appeared on their bodies. I read that this is because they are trying to sleep in the corals, so I urgently need to find them an anemone...

Alexander

The rest are all fine, only one disk didn't stick well and got lost in the reef (I glued them and pressed them down with a stone - they crawled out, and they sat in the quarantine for 2 days - one still came off). The main thing is that the sarkis attach well and don't start to bend. They are adapting well, you'll see, this is a sample for macrame, and it will take a long time to grow. My clowns are sleeping in the algae; they are not interested in the anemone for now. I ordered a foxface, so the clowns will have a new neighbor often (the foxface will eat their little house).

Daniel4967

And you translate it into salad.)) To be honest, I have a feeling that the clowns won't let their home be taken away.

Antonio

Clowns only bite my hands when I'm poking around in the aquarium (well, and they were given helmoons). Otherwise, in those thickets, blennies often hang out, clowns swim a little away, but not far. And I have plenty of space in my aquarium to stuff algae for the fox, although it all depends on the character of the fox - maybe where the clowns live, the algae will be the tastiest.

Phyllis

They will definitely chase it away. When I didn't have an anemone before, a pair of clownfish lived in the tank for about six months, and they chased everyone away from it. Now this pair is tumbling around in the Magnifica, and they won't let anything come within 10 cm. In another aquarium, there is no anemone, and there a young pair of clownfish is in the Gracilis algae, and they also chase away the little LOs, even though there is plenty of algae for it there. The first thing it started munching on was the Batriochadia, nibbling away at it, and in one day, it just left sticks. It's a beauty.

Michael826

I wouldn't take a scops owl, just for the sake of having something good.

Chris

Well, it's quite a nice and inexpensive one, and it has a good degree of woodiness, especially if it's young. I don't like yellow and yellow-tailed ones, while Paracanthurus hepatus or Acanthurus achilles are quite expensive and picky about their care. In short, the woodier the fish, the better for me, and the price also matters.

Shelby3182

And the theme created by om? It is not poor in views of small fish.

Bonnie

I saw that there are also a couple of online stores with nano subsections, but I apparently have some twisted taste. Mostly, I like aggressive fish, probably that's why I previously had a cichlid tank with black-striped fish, yohanas, and auratus.

Brooke

Yellowtail tang (Zebrasoma xanthurum) Maximum size up to 25 cm, Scopas 20 cm. It is beautiful, rare, and more expensive, I agree. I think it's better to have two that are amazing than five or six that are mediocre (five or six would cost the same as these two). Added after 9 minutes. I still have, besides the sea, a 2000L tank at home with Malawi cichlids, Lombardo, Red Zebra, Aulonocara, Chindongo, Yellow, etc. But Helman is my favorite, not to mention the others.

Brent7831

Fragments of sarcophagus 1 and 2 have passed away, the third is still alive for now, but I don't think for long. P.S. I can't understand, in the photos and videos I've seen, the fragments are calmly compressed with a rubber band or something else and it's fine, but when I compress mine, even after a short time, it leaves marks and starts to rot (it inflates to twice the size and cuts itself).

David7773

I also thought at one time that there was some kind of secret, as everything looked so beautiful and easy in those videos. I had a problem with the cabomba; the aquarium was 8-12 months old, and I had to fragment one of the two bushes. Everything I tried to attach forcefully disappeared, but one little branch broke off and rooted itself. A year passed, and I had to fragment another cabomba... all the branches took root! Maybe it was a more mature aquarium... by the way, the nitrates were around 20.

Debbie3587

I have a somewhat silly question - how do I determine if I need to add these to my aquarium, and if so, when (calcium is clear, with a test, but the rest)? Red Sea Calcium Red Sea Reef Success Magnesium Red Sea Reef Success Molybdenum Red Sea Reef Success Strontium Red Sea Reef Success Calcium Plus 3 Red Sea Reef Success Coral Trace Red Sea Reef Success Iodine Pro. The name "Red Sea" is not crucial; I just picked the first one I found.

Alejandro

If you want, I can take it in for a while; everything grows like crazy for me, maybe it will perk up?

Robert800

Regarding the sarka, I warned you in post 198 - and it happened... Don't worry that it didn't work out; I've heard that even very experienced sailors have had problems with sarka fraying. I'm glad that my capnella is doing well with you! There's just one thing I don't like: it's leaning... Most likely, it has grown and it's become difficult to keep it stable at that small point of attachment. Try placing a small stone on the side it's leaning towards; it will attach to it and have support. It definitely doesn't share, that's for sure! But I've already gotten the hang of it, so if you decide to, I'll share my experience.

Luis3725

Thank you! "The Last of the Mohicans" came off today as well and was re-glued and almost pressed tightly with "mesh tape for drywall," but now it has fluffed up again three times with polyps and is cutting itself again - it's not going to survive. I'm using Moment gel, but the glue hardens, creating a solid layer between the stone and the coral, and the coral successfully falls off. I need to try another super glue like "Sekunda," because after that one I can't immediately pull my fingers away, while Moment takes longer to dry.

Melissa

For the softness, I didn't add anything like that, just phytoplankton, some kind of feed for the softness, and I always fed the fish frozen artemia, so the softness got some too...

Ryan

Yes, Sark has been in the plans for "expenses for a long time" (that's why I'm currently choosing small frags, it's a pity, but not too expensive, while I'm gaining experience). The Capnella indeed has large branches when fully expanded, it must be really heavy. Is it attached to a normal rock (there's a place for attachment there), or do you mean somewhere in the middle of the stem? (Then it bends in an arc and in different directions). Should I frag it, or maybe it will be fine on its own, otherwise I'll end up fragging it again. Tomorrow the light will turn on (it will expand) and I'll take a photo.

Mark9853

I feed the clowns with dried JBL while they don't understand the frozen food well, a lot is left over. I hung a piece of squid on a string for them - no way, they need to catch it "in the air." Even the drying goes to the Aptasia, maybe the corals get some too (they grow from something).

Zoe7451

If it's pellets, then everyone loves them too, and the corals do as well, but the granules are too big; no one eats them. And take a photo, otherwise it's not very clear... advising on touch is a thankless task.

Rachel9060

Any super glue behaves the same way, apparently it can't be glued with sarc... Hold it pressed, and it might make sense to replace it with fresh water...

Christopher8654

Forget it, soon I’ll probably need to fragment the capnella, and I’ll try a different glue there. I changed the water on Friday, 10%, and there’s purigen in there as well. P.S. I even cleaned a bit of the detritus with algae on the sand, and I rolled off a little bit of dirty sand from the top.

Stephanie3084

When there was softness, there was the same problem, and I struggled quite a bit. The solution turned out to be ridiculously simple. You apply super gel to the stone and press the fragment. After a minute, you stretch the rubber band. You choose two small stones that are slightly shorter than your fragment and place them on both sides under the rubber band. This way, the fragment remains pressed but not overly tight. After a couple of weeks, you remove the rubber band, and that's it.

Jeffrey

You don't need to pour anything into the soft rhyme! Replacing the water solves all problems. Almost all of these jars are just good PR.

Wendy2244

Regarding fragmentation: I often saw fragments in floating settling tanks where the flow is minimal, and there is nothing to compress or restrict.

Kristen2246

Kapnella is lying around (from two angles), Ksyusha and umbrellas (under the actinics, the center is beautifully fluorescing).

Sherri1320

I assume it doesn't have enough flow, so it has stretched out... It grew next to the pump, like a column! In the photo in the right corner. Evaluate the flow, and if it's weak, move it and observe...

Andrew9581

I think she just got stressed out about something and now she just needs some time... Has she been lying like this for a long time?

Jessica6754

Max, this is one of her normal states when she fully inflates. Occasionally, the birches do this. By the way, Ksyusha's trunk was also straight, but then it fell to the side and grew together in another place (it's visible in the photo).

Michelle1505

Why don't you turn on the actinic light all the time?

Michael826

It's hot. I don't have a good actinic light (haven't bought one yet), and right now there's a Atman Coral Blue T8 20W - if I turn it on with the Coral Stars, it barely makes a difference, it's almost not bright at all (intensity is just a bit brighter than the night lighting, which is LED, but it needs some modifications - it heats up and melts).

Debra

Actinics all shine weakly, and that's normal, but even their weak light is needed by corals; what you can't see, corals can see very well.

Jerry

Dima, a T5, SunSun BL-Bio 39W (one is available) will appear in the aquarium now. I will connect both to one ballast permanently. Right now, one SunSun paired with a CoralStar doesn't light up on my ballast - it flickers and goes out (ELT), I need two identical SunSuns, they work fine. We're waiting. P.S. I saw how the Marine Glow shines, it's a completely different story.

Eric5208

latest news: 1. I moved the capnella three times - it still lays down 2. A little hermit crab took a liking to a stone with umbrellas - it constantly sits there eating something off the stone (good thing it's not the umbrellas) - sometimes it nudges the umbrellas with its shell, sometimes it climbs on them - meaning they periodically close. I chase it away, move it to the other end of the tank - it comes back. 3. The blenny has started eating the rocks poorly - the dried JBL with spirulina seems tastier (it sits not far from the clownfish so it doesn't miss a meal). 4. The last piece of sarka has moved to . P.S. I wonder if this happens to everyone, or am I just lucky.

Sheila1322

It can be much worse.

Daniel

Is someone eating your softness or not fitting in?

Michelle

Off-topic While it fits, I think it won't grow anymore Personally, I barely had any asters in the mushroom patch, but the reason I said it can be worse is that you can catch a parasite, but sometimes you go to work and come back to a disaster in the aquarium. Due to the light, the neighbor's paint, etc. Those are real problems.

Rodney7316

When I had few asterinas, there were no problems, but when they multiplied and grew, I had to catch and throw them out because they started to disturb me a lot and even nibble on the corals, and I couldn't figure out who was bothering them until I saw a dozen asterinas on the colony at night, and in the places where they settled, they had eaten down to the rock. So everything is good in moderation.

Yolanda

new inhabitants - a hedgehog, a fox, and a scops owl. the coral stars finally arrived at the aquastar lamps - the light is a bit unusual now, but nice. the rest of the photos tomorrow - the light in the aquarium has already gone out, and I don't have a moonlight. I got Tetra salt, I will do the first water change with it on Friday, as the Red Sea isn't very good, and I'm almost out of buckets. P.S. lately, after the lights are turned off in the aquarium, I've noticed a bunch of small white brittle stars, I have no idea where they came from and in such numbers. also, it seems that the stomatellas have multiplied - they are still small and light - but it seems to be them; if not, then someone else, but they look the same in shape and appearance.

James5032

Lo and Scopas

Andrew419

Cool, tell me about the scad, I think it's a very interesting, albeit gray fish, how does it behave?

Tina

Let the stones be polished, and they probably need to buy some spirulina... Do the clown houses eat it too? How do the clowns feel about this???

Dana6523

There is a drying mix of spirulina and JBL Maris, they eat it. So, these long algae almost got eaten where the clownfish were sleeping (and from the corner too) - now they are homeless again and spend the night under the water's surface after the lights go out. We need to save up money for them for a new tank, otherwise, by the time the sandstone grows, the clownfish will have kicked the bucket three times, or the sarcophyton with long polyps will.

Jesse

I finally gathered almost everything for the osmosis system (the membrane will arrive in a few days), and I also bought an additional transparent container for the resin and an empty cartridge for filling. P.S. Where can I get this resin and what kind should it be? P.P.S. The tap water is terrible... so it's unlikely to have zero without the resin.

Nicole

The resin we need is available in Odessa for about $9 per liter. I will definitely sort this out over the weekend, and I can take care of it for you as well... The name of the resin is Dowex MB50. If anyone knows where to get it cheaper, please let me know, and is this the right resin that we need? My TDS without the resin is 15-20, but that's not the main issue; the osmosis system poorly filters nitrates, which is the main problem, and we want to get rid of them first...

William5838

What about the hermit? The Black Sea one? They are eating my Briarium. As for the mushrooms, not yet. The mushrooms are not multiplying for some reason... They are already big, but still haven't produced offspring. What could they be lacking? The Black Sea shrimp have eaten ALL the Stomatella. Now there's no one to clean the walls. The Asterina have eaten all the hydra. There are a few left - a couple sitting in the caves, and a few on the glass. There is resin in Airife, both in bulk and in cartridges. You can find it cheaper. BUT! They sell it in a 25 kg bag.

Andrea9320

The hermit crab, I don't know, he's in the photo in the thread, not our exact one. Don't your big mushrooms reproduce? I don't have them, I have umbrella mushrooms (zoanthids) growing, reproducing, which I don't know about. It seems like everything you have is being eaten - you must have some cannibals in your mini-nemo. Thank you! The resin issue is being resolved. The wondermanii has arrived, now it's acclimatizing (they said if it doesn't, the chances are not very good), had to. P.S. The fish immediately spilled out of the bag, but here... Peppermint (wondermanii) in the sea.

Stephanie4990

Sanya, fish straight from the package means the fish is strong... But if it barely made it and you throw it straight from the package... You can finish it off. P.S. I know I sometimes express my thoughts strangely. Listen, can your threadfin and the fox with the zebra solve this issue? They seem a bit off to me.

Debbie3587

It's fine, I got the gist. Good fish, and after 12 hours of travel, you could say from the train to the aquarium. Fox, zebra, blenny - no way, they just want dry food, they're nibbling a bit, but barely, I'm cleaning it by hand. The hedgehog is trying, but not doing well either. P.S. I'm already thinking maybe I should put them on a diet for a couple of days (or a week). P.P.S. I need to get a couple of snails, some algae eaters for a complete set of slackers.

Christine864

Max is what I believe is not a filamentous algae, although it relates to filamentous Derbesia. There is an algae commonly called "Neptune's brush," which is low-growing and very stiff, making it difficult to scrape off rocks. Under favorable conditions, it spreads abundantly, creating a dense mat. P.S. I'm not 100% sure, but I lean towards this opinion.

Natalie

Thank you, I'll check this out, is it something like briopsis (or whatever it's called)? There are probably both types, not just filamentous, there are also types like algae. There's also valonia, but it's still controlled. There seem to be higher types, like little flowers, but they are small and my soap dish doesn't pick them up for a decent appearance.

Denise

Sanya, try to feed them less, but keep an eye on their bellies. Let them work up an appetite! Briopsis is really something... I lifted a stone weighing 2-3 kg with this briopsis.

Jacqueline5976

Max, and here is an interesting link. The small volonia Valonia macrophysa is easy to control and not so scary. When your macrophytes thrive (if they are not eaten at the root), the microphytes simply cannot survive, as well as the filamentous ones. However, it is necessary to control them mechanically for now to a minimum so that they do not overwhelm the macrophytes with their vigorous growth (while they are small), as they grow more slowly.

Sara

I haven't eaten the LO yet; first, it devoured the batrioclavidia, then reluctantly moved on to the gracilis, almost wiping it out along with the Hipatus, although "Lёlik" is scurrying around after the LO, nibbling on everything it does. Only when all the macroalgae were gone did they start rummaging through the reserves and finishing off whatever was growing, not being picky at all—basically, some kind of mountain goats.

Cindy

Well, I’ll set up the tank, put the macro in there, and hide the drying for a couple of days (they dance so much in front of the glass, so hungry, especially the blennies with their big bellies), then maybe my lower ones will go too. I also want to add a couple of small Astraea sp., but only if I find them in my city; I don’t want to travel long until spring, and sending just 2-3 doesn’t make sense to bother people.

Dana6523

Peppermint after the "in rhyme" care caught my eye once - probably shedding somewhere, or someone ate it. I split a stone with Ksyukha - now I have a lot of it - two big ones (they will soon split again) and two deciliters. Also, today I threw away a piece of the Heteromorpha algae (it lies in a crevice of the stone and when it gains mass, it starts to spill out - I have to chop off the excess). P.S. Lo is in a deadlock - now there are many beds, and she can't decide - jumping from one to another.

Christine

This is one of the most beautiful algae I have had, "Neomeris annulata"! But right now I don't have any because of bicolor. Do you have any?

Leslie

I don't see them either, although I know they are there... a secretive shrimp.

Lindsey3628

Vova, thank you! The creature is cool. As for it being an enemy scout, that's a minor detail; I have plenty of those - an ophiura (only comes out a little after the lights go out and when I bring a piece of squid), small hermits (I find out that there are still 10 of them when I clean the rocks from the thread - usually 3-4), a large hermit (50% visible, and 50% - I have no idea where it is). P.S. So, peppermint is "among its own."

Michele9664

Please do not take photos of the aquarium with a flash.

Charles894

and without it, it's even worse (dark photos, almost not visible at all). it's a point-and-shoot, even though it's 8MP. there are shooting modes, but I have no idea which one to use. P.S. or it's bad for fish from a close distance, the foreground is somewhat okay, but with a bit more distance or against the back wall - the message "blurry shot" appears in 90% of cases (just tried it).

Chris

I thought I was the best photographer Sanya, get those dowels!!! You're not opening an epicenter It was Sanya who suggested that idea, but he immediately made it strict... And it looks like a dead shell from the neighboring topic No offense!

Erica

No, they are just there to prevent the holes from overgrowing, otherwise I’ll have to dig out the stones and drill again, I’m tired of it. I’ll put a couple of Ksyukhs there in a few days and probably an Euphilia (they are currently on the sand), so let them stay for now, and I’m not attaching them with dowels, a bit differently. The plastic doesn’t make noise. What grievances? My camera lives its own life - three photos from the same spot, shooting the same thing - different (I have auto settings, so they can "adjust").

James

I have to disappoint you; if you have a Coolpix L6, it has not 8 but 6.2 megapixels... The camera is definitely not for underwater use... Apparently, the lens has very low light sensitivity, but in my opinion, when it comes to underwater photography, it's better to have a blurry shot without a flash than a clear one with it.

Aaron

it's him and yes, it's exactly 6 4 years make themselves known. simple photos (not of aquariums and without backlighting) with flash, without flash with sufficient lighting - fine, as soon as there is a light source in the frame (as in the case with the aquarium), then the dancing with a tambourine begins.

Yvette209

And plus, the helmon is a very beautiful fish!

Andrew419

My Helmon with the mission of the devourer of Aiptasia fared even worse - it lived less and its price is not comparable to Wunderlani - it hits the pocket harder. By the way, another Wunderlani, if it's "for the rainbow," then I will save up for Helmon, but I have no idea where to get it with a 100% life guarantee, as 50-60 euros to not drag from Kyiv for a week's life is somehow very expensive for me.

Patrick4439

beautiful, but it would be better if it were ugly, "wooden," twice as cheap and would 100% consume iptaziy, otherwise the logo says that they also consume glass pieces one by one, more for fan worms he

Selena4467

Apparently, it was poisoned. A healthy fish eventually gets used to marine feeds and then becomes the master of the aquarium and lives a very long time. Without aiptasia, of course. As for where to get it - AiRiff, Tkach, and other official sources.

Keith7534

I took it there, but apparently it's not meant to be.

Denise

There is also the method of "electrophoresis."

Kevin

No, this method is definitely not for me - the aiptasia will already be on the other side of the tank by the time I aim, and I’ll shock myself about 15 times with your "fishing rods." P.S. Well, there are still many methods - putting a stone under the faucet, pouring boiling water from a kettle, dumping bleach into the aquarium - I want something less bloodthirsty, since I've already used vinegar and acid on my pets (not just aiptasia), let the creature rest a bit, and you want to shock it right away. P.P.S. I think a hairdryer in the aquarium would be cooler than a fishing rod.

Joseph9203

Well, I don't know... I wiped out all my fish with an electric fishing rod in a couple of days. An aquarium without aiptasia is like a potato field without the Colorado potato beetle.

Sarah7284

Well, your volume is about five times smaller, and it's almost not a problem to reach any point in the tank. I may not have many rocks, but they are in piles and with different crevices - just the right places for aiptasia (I guess that’s what I was aiming for). P.S. No problem, I'll find a "wooden" eater, and everything will be fine!

Gene1948

How is the aquarium doing these days?

Debra

so far no one has died again this weekend a mess is planned at home, and in the aquarium, the installation of the sump and its connection will take place, then I will capture these moments in photos

Melissa3200

This will be interesting! I'm planning a trip to the store today. I haven't bought anything for 4 days, so I'm ready to go! I'll probably buy some small corals... or maybe clowns... although I need some helmons or shrimp... I want so much, but there's so little I can get.

Amanda

Everything that happens is for the best))). It will be interesting to see the photos of the overflow and the sample...

Heather2018

overflow in the 8th post the samp is drying, aquarium 50x30x35, divided into three compartments - my marine aquarium, where it all started (at the beginning of the topic)

Alexandra

Sanya, it’s just that it’s impossible without sex. It would be like if AiRif or someone came to you, then in 2 hours (or even less) you would already have a sample ready, but now you have to tinker with it! If you launch about 5 cans, you’ll already have some experience, but as I’ve already said - sex will definitely happen. P.S. At first, the pumps were so loud that I was in shock. Now it’s practically silent - just let them work for 2-3 weeks.

Kristen1161

I have an aquarium about three meters from the bed, I can't stand it for 2-3 weeks; besides the sounds, there's a constant hum that drives me crazy, and the hum from the foam filter is like child's play. The pump was struggling because the branch with the hose, which is trying to twist like a wheel, wasn't rigid and centered. I will either install such connections and make the return branch completely PVC (without a hose, and there won't be any leaks), or use a flexible hose for the external filter, with a diameter like the nut on the pump (I haven't ordered it yet). I want a Seltz or New Jet, but for now, I only have money for "Haleo." P.S. Here's a photo with the logo; I hope the device's author doesn't mind.

Allison

Sanya, can I buy some earplugs?

Mitchell7972

What happened to your skimmer? What broke?

Jennifer9100

Yeah, or walk around with headphones (took it from the contract for nothing) started reworking it for installation in Samp, without the possibility to "return everything to its place" it's being reworked further, but it won't be able to be attached anymore.

Javier5186

I acquired a new skimmer (photo 1). The drain needs to be redone (the hose on the bottom of the tank and all the bubbles are not appealing), the drain should be routed into the water, maybe even into some kind of cup, like on the Delteks and Red Seas. I also need to separate the pump and the body, as this noise is already bothering me (it will be turned off at night for now), maybe it will get quieter after breaking in. By the way, my pump is hanging in the air (not attached to the glass, but there is a hum). The foam separator turned out to be large compared to the frog, with a 110 pipe, but it fits behind the aquarium. Later, it will go to the sump, possibly with a modification of the intake from the bottom like in (photo 2).

Paul

The main thing is to say how it will be gurgling??? Well, do you have the pump in the water? It can just be rattling – press it down with something... Or maybe in a week or two it will stop humming if you're lucky) it's China after all) But my skimmer is working better and better... In a couple of days it will collect dirt – I'll take a photo) It's just hanging in the most visible place for me – I haven't had the time to make a proper water intake pipe for it with the pump...

Jade

Well, yes, it's in the water, just like yours, but it's not reactive and a bit longer - dg-1520, and also around 35 euros (36.5, to be exact). Why press it? Then the noise will come not only from the body but also from the pump, which will be worse. To prevent the noise from reaching the body, the pump needs to be separated from the body with a silicone coupling, a hose, or a flexible tube, plus the "needles" there. It already works quieter, but the aquarium is there, and I sleep next to it, which is annoying. At first, it buzzes not only from the Chinese one. By the way, what pump do you have (name and flow rate)?

Jason9385

Why suddenly my jet? Well, I have a used one, that's why it's 35 euros with the pump, while the same brand starts from 135 euros... The pump is either a Tunze or a Biopur, it doesn't say on it, it's for 720 liters... As for pressing it down, I didn't express it that way: it's not about pressing, but rather putting a rubber spacer... or wrapping the tube and pump connection with insulation tape to dampen the vibration - it worked for me... there was a bit of vibration too... but basically, now the bubbles make more noise than everything else, and it's a bit annoying...

Hannah

due to the two nozzles it's clear, but 720l/hour is too little for you the pump fits into the pipe and is secured with a nut; to dampen vibrations, this mounting needs to be made more flexible and elastic which bubbles are making noise? for air intake - install a silencer, for drainage - change the hose mine is already quieter after a day, but still too loud for sleeping

Veronica

Bubbles in the tank itself - everything else is fine) No, 720 liters is just right... I could buy a 1200, but I don't see the point for now...

Courtney4094

I cut one Ksenia bush today (nostalgia for Sarku) - now I have not only dowels in my aquarium but also some mesh. Maybe something is not quite right, but it was my first time cutting it, so to speak, a trial run. The second bush is next in line - but it all depends on how these cuttings grow and take root. The skimmer is working, not great, but decent; the lower plants are hardly growing, but they aren't decreasing either, although who knows. It processes about 100 liters a day, the skimming is decent, not super oil, but not weak tea - something in between. For its price, it's great, but it will need a little upgrade.

Tami

Sanya, don't torture your brain. Just tie it to the stones with a thread, and there's no need for glue or any nets!

Brandon4517

Max, I flew off the board without glue, just on glue. The repairs in the apartment are reflected in the aquarium - everything should be in harmony. I don't want to use threads; when it's shriveled, it will inflate and cut itself. If I wind it too tightly, it shrinks and falls out. It's simple too; I left a little slack, and it doesn't fall out or cut - in a couple of days, I'll take the net off one of the test subjects and see the results of my efforts.

Rebecca

The stage has been passed But you want it your way... Go ahead

Joseph1346

I tied them without a net - a few branches are left without tentacles, one bush is in the toilet - but that's not a big deal since there are 12 in the aquarium. If anyone needs, I can give away a couple of them, as they are the first ones, seem to have grown and are doing fine, but who knows what will happen next. Off-topic: only Odessa, and only self-pickup from Tairovo, I definitely won't send them - I don't know how. Bags, containers, and rubber bands are welcome, I don't have any available. As a bonus, there might be aiptasia and valonia (well, I haven't bought a second Helmon or Wundermani yet).

Larry9400

Is it pink or regular?

Patrick4439

It seems more like "not white"; I have the most ordinary one growing here, which is silly, and I also want to plant a second type - the aquarium will definitely be a species "with Ksenia."

Mitchell7972

Sanya, just a little more and I can start giving everything away.

Lindsey3628

Yes, while your little one is growing, mine will still "cut" a couple of times - it grows quickly for me, but lately it's been dividing "manually" (with the help of plates, threads, and sometimes polystyrene).

Joseph8592

Recently, the actinia (sand anemone) didn't look very good - it often deflated, ate poorly, and today... I ended up with two actiniae.

Melinda2740

Please take a photo of the overall view of the aquarium if it's not too much trouble.

Derek7322

I can't do better, soap dish.

Jonathon8514

So everything is in order in the aquarium... By the way, it's time to get a helmon too...

Daniel8015

Thank you! It's been a long time since I've thought about Helmon, but it seems like it's not available - LO, Scopas, Blenny, a pair of clowns, and about 120 liters of water. I haven't decided what to take (Helmon or Wundermani) and where to get it (Odessa or Kyiv). I will probably start with "Wundermani-2" when it gets a bit warmer - it's cheaper.

Nancy

The more the better, and everything will be fine.

Whitney

Yesterday I was at Sasha's, took Ksyusha, thank you, and for showing the farm, cool animals.

Joshua

I tried to identify what a sandfish is. I found a sand anemone - and also this one - but I couldn't find a Latin definition. Maybe you can try to identify your "sandfish" on this website? Is it really that resilient?

John3165

I couldn't provide a link where there are fewer actis. I can't determine exactly, but something in between these two. You should probably ask Sasha about it - it's his actis. By the way, do you think I have such a prison that she shouldn't survive? I have living gestures, plenty of threads, and there's even some algae; even "Dino" comes by occasionally - a natural biotope, to put it simply, everything is there.

Dawn6148

The time will come when these biotopes will remain in the past. The aquarium is still young.

Aaron

Today, the UPS "ARS CS500" was tested in field conditions - the stream "san-san 101" with a power of 5W (that's what it says) worked for seven hours on it, which is not the limit, as it didn't turn off, but the power was restored, and accordingly, it started charging. This is encouraging, but if we connect a return instead of the stream, which is 20-25W, I think it won't last long - we need to come up with something for the battery, at least 17-23 Ah. I think I will go for an inverter (Chinese) - and why do I need a sine wave, I have Chinese pumps for 20 bucks that work even with around 180V in the socket, and the expensive "sine wave" is unnecessary.

Julie4738

this is very little

John3432

The 35W return worked for about 5 hours - then the power came back.

Elizabeth1221

A thread can clog the SPS. Really. I would start by eliminating the causes for the growth of filamentous algae. If you're interested, I can share my thoughts.

Heather9815

Yes, I'm aware, but it's not critical for my situation in China. I'm thinking about a car battery, but I have an apartment, and it's small, and it seems to be "hovering" there - I'm not really eager to deal with it. And I think about this inverter or this uninterruptible power supply.

Maria6659

That's exactly what I mean - it will burn out - not expensive for the price of China, and there is a stock in quantity. I will always have either one stream or a return working on the UPS, so the wear will be on one thing; if it burns out, I'll replace it.

Aaron

Sanya will burn out from the saw in about an hour and a half or faster - do you want me to bring you my Spark??? Whether it burns out or not will depend on the type of motor (asynchronous or synchronous) - if it burns out, I warned you - if not, you can keep it, and if you have any extras, you can give me some trinket or buy a Chinese light bulb. It's really just lying around in the garage; I only connect it to the TV or computer - I'm going to get a decent Luxon for the aquarium.

Andrea9320

Thank you! I will keep in mind "for growth" as long as this is enough. I don't know what engine it has, and the light rarely turns off for a long time, mostly "switching at rest" for 20-30 minutes until it burns out. The only "but" of the stream is that it doesn't always start properly from the UPS, due to "approximated" or something else, who knows (it crackles and doesn't want to spin up, or just doesn't start "in the right direction").

Andrea

Yes, yes - the first sign - and when it starts to shake as well - I burned out three floor fans on tripods (household) - two cheap ones and one very expensive one - it was hot and the power went out - I turned them on at night - they worked for about 5-6 hours with a buzzing sound and that was it... gone. Sanya, if you're going to get a normal UPS (not a converter), make sure that the "0" is pass-through, that's also very important... Also, make sure that there is battery scanning and support for starting batteries, and a stabilizer should be included as well.

James4342

Sanya will burn out from the saw in about an hour and a half or faster. I will say right away that I am very weak in electricity. I have various things working on my "saw" for two years. Nothing has burned out! If I had tuned streams, I wouldn't take the risk, but as it is, the Chinese pumps work and I don't have any problems.

Cynthia

If it's an UPS, then the one linked above for 900 rubles has an external battery connection. The "stream" is unstable and there's no shaking without a saw - just a little hum. What's there - who knows, and what "pass-through zero" means is also unclear - although it seems like it's an electromechanical engineer by education. It seems that all UPS devices conduct battery tests.

James5032

Not all streams I have held in my hands, but those that I have - 6105 - have their own power supply, so it doesn't matter whether it's AC or DC. The pump motor itself is powered by 24V DC. So, the Tunze are not the most finicky in terms of power supply.

Andrea8397

Is there any battery inside, or just an external one? (I already got it - there isn't) It's the same as the link I provided, just with a display. By the way, how much does this "display" consume per hour, for example? For expensive pumps, yes, there's no point in installing a "saw," but for a cheap one - who cares, 17 bucks, you can change it every year - I'm speaking figuratively. There should be a flow in the aquarium; otherwise, there will be losses, and that will be more expensive than a broken Chinese stream.

Wanda666

You say that your UPS is faulty. I say that mine is not. Maybe there is just a difference in the UPS models?

Caitlin3279

Buddy, I have never had a pump in my life - everything is ordered and just on its way. I said that household fans can burn out - that's a fact. Pseudo-sine waves can vary - it's clearly visible on an oscilloscope - there are steps and there is a sawtooth... if the pump or stream has a rectifier, i.e., converting AC to DC - then the sawtooth doesn't matter - if not, it will depend on the type of electric motor. You just need to try it - take the pump and turn it on - if the rotor buzzes with a characteristic sound, then don't expect anything good - if not, it will work for its entire life.

Holly

Then it's clear.

John3335

Off-topic, but whatever - if it's for March 8th, then fine, but where are the flowers, where's the ice cream, where's at least a frying pan? Don't rush, I'll set a reminder - maybe I'll take it from you, if not the pump, then the computer will hold it, the power supply doesn't care at all.

Charles894

Recently, euphyllia has been greatly inflated and today it reached out with its tentacles to the green "jestic" - the jestic is "salivating" - already planted. So, the pre-drilled holes in the rocks for the "planting" of corals are a very good and necessary thing.

Andrew419

Sanya - Thank you for your hospitality and the tour of your aquarium, a lot became clear to me.

James8887

I would take a couple of bushes.

Shawn

I also have a small polyp Ksyusha - I can bring it.

Kellie

So you have one, it's a simple Ksyusha. I won't give you a couple, I'll give you one. Thanks for the beer, but I don't drink, so I'll give it if needed. I'll call tomorrow. No, thanks! I don't want "species kvass" with one Ksyusha, this one is growing well as it is.

Matthew1280

it's not like yours.............but like this

Thomas5021

No, yours is white, mine is different. Okay, I'll call you after one in the afternoon, you can come and pick up the frag (tomorrow or whenever you can), I live in the Glushko/I. Petrov area. Before that, I'm just sleeping.

Colin1418

Off-topic, I think you have both this and that.

Nicholas2252

Five minutes ago, a clown tried to turn into minced meat. He climbed into the water intake hole on the pump and got stuck, which stopped the operation of the foam generator - just a clown. I turned off the pump, shook him out, and it seems to be fine now.

Jacob4800

Kamikaze

George5104

Sanya, who did you order the aquarium from?

Adam4310

Aquatica ordered one yesterday - today it has already changed a bit (no, the dimensions are the same) - glass, fittings, price. By the way, Aqualife asked for a lot. In Aquatica, the aquarium itself turned out to be cheaper, but with packaging and delivery it was a bit more expensive.

Leah

It will be much faster than Alick's. I have a 1/2" pipe, currently three meters and a couple of elbows. I'll make a tee like Yarik suggested, and I can give you the excess - I also have glue and solvent for these pipes - I can hook you up on a friendly basis.

Darrell7542

I can also help with transporting the aquarium and getting it up to your floor - I saw the car - it can handle it - though I did hurt my back with my aquarium, but we’ll manage to get yours up. This is my way of saying thank you for how you helped me with my sea.

Julie3950

In connection with the recent discussions about the Durso, please let me know in advance what its height should be. I roughly sketched it in the picture, but I don't know if it's correct. Also, for the drain-return, I'm considering either the New-Jet N1200 or the Hydor ELTZ L30, both rated at 1200 liters per hour. P.S. Here’s what I might have to do: 1. Keep the drain at 20, narrow the return to 16. 2. Keep the return at 20, drain in the Durso shaft to 25. 3. Narrow the drain to 16, narrow the return to 16. 4. Keep the drain at 20, return at 20.

Michael5242

See p.4. Everything must be of the same D.

Daniel4967

I don't quite understand what you want to do??? 20 slats will be enough for you, 25/20/16 would be even better. The return doesn't really matter, the main thing is that it can handle the pump's power, 16 is also more than enough. The Durso pipe should be placed lower than in the picture; usually, the water level is a bit above the middle, and there should be a slight drop to remove the film from the surface.

Robert800

I read on the forum that to silence the Durso drain, the pipe is narrowed, and the return is almost always smaller than the drain size, which is why this question arises, since the holes and fittings at the bottom are the same, but I can play with narrowing/widening. By the way, I don't see the point in making a hole for a 25mm fitting in this volume, especially since it might need to be narrowed. Also, I haven't decided on the return pump 100%, so I don't know its outlet diameter for connecting to the return. In short, I need to read less, and then there will be fewer such questions. So, should the Durso be made approximately as shown in red?

Robert800

Exactly! And place the faucet at the drain, as low as possible (i.e., near the water in the sump) - it may help with the setup.

Jason9385

I will install the valves anyway - both for the drain and for the return. But why exactly closer to the water? Although I will have only about 40 cm of difference from the bottom of the tank to the level in the first compartment.

Lindsey3628

How are the separated anemones doing?

Erin2730

alive, just wandering a bit within one stone - sometimes they crawl out into the light, sometimes they crawl to the "dark" side - there is an "arch" there

Alyssa1438

Nothing special - I thought they were glued to the rock and just sitting there.

Angel628

No, anemones sometimes "wander," sometimes they get sucked into streams, sometimes they just die, and sometimes they stay in one place all the time - it depends on luck. Sometimes they wander due to "bad" water, and in general, who knows what will come to their mind in 5 minutes.

Destiny

Sanya - how do they do it??? Do they just take the whole bush and go??? Is it quick for them?

Steven757

I don't have bushes, mine are 2-3 cm in diameter. Big bushes are scary to start - expensive, picky, and they can ruin the whole aquarium if they get stuck. Off-topic: I wrote in your thread - the light went out and the post wasn't saved. 8-10 cm of sand is a lot, spread it evenly across the aquarium. If it's more than five, roll it into the sump from the tank; it will already have some small life in it. Otherwise, it will compact, and then nitrates and ammonium will come, in short - it's all a mess from a thick layer of sand.

Tina

Don't worry! She doesn't glue the fins in 5 minutes. The process takes a day or two. When it falls off the stone upside down (with a fin), it's time to take it out of the aquarium. Before that, she will also be releasing her insides... You won't miss it.

Daniel8015

And it's not true! "As if a stone falls off upside down" is a sign of illness, but not of death! "And before that, she will still be releasing guts," and this is a sign of illness. It describes the content of actinides very well. I think I read it in the Coral magazine.

Ricky9405

Is this a living stone? I see wet dry reef stone and one living stone.

Kevin3114

there is a little bit of everything, so to speak, a complete set - live rock, marine dry reef rock, dry reef rock

David7773

The aquarium is changing, so a big actinia is not timely right now. I also have radactis, euphyllia, and a bunch of other stuff - let the clowns sleep there. They used to sleep in the algae, but the hedgehog drags them all over the aquarium, so I removed them. I would rather take a sarka than a big actinia, although Zhenya in Kyiv has some small cute ones for 25 bucks, maybe I'll take one of those, but otherwise, I'm not really attracted to this actinia.

Zachary

So I wrote - take it out of the aquarium, then examine it, sniff it, and transfer it to the sump for treatment, rehabilitation, and disposal.

Mark7376

I agree - sniffing is the most reliable method. If they catch a "smell of death" (you can't confuse it with anything else) - it's straight to the toilet. I've handled more than a hundred different anemones. They came back to life in pieces and turned inside out. But that's if there's no smell. As soon as it smells - that's it. In any case, not a single "smelly" anemone has survived in my experience.

Jeffery

Good afternoon! Could you please tell me how to calibrate a refractometer? There was no calibration liquid in the kit - apparently, customs took it. What can I use instead, and what should it show?

Monique1236

Measure the osmotic pressure after the ion-exchange resin and set it to "Zero" - it showed 0.03 ppm when I visited you - maybe even a full zero - but we didn't wash or wipe the cup. For comparison, the water for injections in capsules showed 0.11 ppm for me, so your osmotic pressure is almost ideal - which probably doesn't exist in nature. Sanya, then write down how much salt you actually had by measuring it with a refractometer.

Katie5500

So it can be calibrated with tap water, which also seems to be not salty. I first need to find out what it should show at 25 degrees, since the table states (temperature 20 degrees). And what about the solution in the aquarium - is it just regular distilled water? Calibrated at 20 degrees (it says in the window), I set it, the water is 25 degrees - it shows 1025. I understood that I need to "adjust" for temperature, but in which direction. By the way, I figured it out; I have a refractometer with automatic temperature compensation, so no adjustments need to be made. The salinity in the aquarium is 1025.

Anne

Your tap water has 485 ppm, which is the amount of mg/L of dissolved salts and bases. Why are you pouring osmotic water into the aquarium??? P.S. - the manual should state to calibrate with distilled water, not tap water.

Kimberly2102

Thank you, I already found it and calibrated it on osmosis.

Steven

Sanya - why is the color "gray" important to you??? P.S. Congratulations on the new aquarium!!!!

Dana4701

Thank you! Yes, to match the color of the cabinet, I'm also painting it gray. No, there are pass-through couplings with a 20mm metric thread, nothing from Nibco fits, and the gray fittings (AquaMedic, FIP) are not much more expensive; only the valves and transitions are expensive, the rest is almost comparable to Nibco prices (this is for FIP, for AquaMedic it's a bit more expensive). P.S. I don't know how to carefully grind the four edges of Nibco. The diameter is important to me, and I don't care about the color.

Joseph591

Do you mean you already have a fitting with a threaded connection on the back side of the wall? If so, then any compatible thread can be screwed in, whether it's from Nibco or Eco-Plast. Just keep in mind that some threads are tapered, so they need to be passed through. If it's a fitting, then it should be a metal connector with the appropriate thread; if it's a connector, then it should correspondingly have a metal nut.

Anthony

No, I took regular straight couplings, where the thread is only where the nut clamps the glass, and the pipes are glued inside the coupling - a very standard straight coupling from Aquamedic. Similar. P.S. 20mm is by diameter, not by thread - I made a typo.

Andrew9581

A-aaaaaa. And all sorts of nibs don't fit in there by diameter???

Justin9867

yes

Guy

When will the move be?

Karen2578

It will definitely be by the end of the year.

Jessica5348

Why is it taking so long??? O.o

Kristen1161

Sanya, you really take your time. Why is it taking so long?

Selena4467

I mean, what can I say? There is no stability in the country, online stores take a long time to deliver goods, not everything is in stock - how can you name an exact date here? By the way, maybe in a month or a month and a half +/- (I haven't bought everything and I don't have finances for everything), but definitely by the end of the year. By the way, I won't be washing my hands in the aquarium with fish and corals; I will be testing the Durso and return from tap water, so it won't be like last time with the attempt to set up the sump.

Daniel132

Sanya - how is it with the tap water? What happened last time?

Julia

I filled it up with tap water, set everything up, adjusted the levels, drained the fresh water, and moved. I also told you to set up the Durso and the return on fresh water so you wouldn't have to mess around with clean osmosis (seawater). I mentioned this to you and wrote about the unsuccessful attempt to install the sump.

Mitchell7972

You won't set anything up this way - you'll just waste time. Different conditions mean different water - salty water is very different from fresh water, but that's not the main point - even a circulation system that is already set up sometimes needs adjustments.

Jessica6754

A-aaaa - now I understand!!!

Julie4738

I built a small "pharaoh's dwelling" weighing about eight kilograms, and I will add a few new living stones on top, but just 1-2 small stones to complete the hill. In another corner, there will be a hill that is currently in the working aquarium. P.S. In reality, the hill is higher than in the photo, but since the aquarium is still packed, I took the photo from above at an angle, so it appears lower. It will do.

Brent8919

Oh! The beginning of a new size. My congratulations!

Randall7906

this is not the beginning, this is already the final stretch the volume is almost the same - the concept is just a little different

Tanya

Due to the move, several more questions have arisen: - How to transfer sand from one aquarium to another (there's a lot of detritus and various debris) and I also need to move the worms - I already have a lot of them. - Is it possible to put in 1-2 from the sea? For example, like the dry reef rock? Bringing it, rinsing it under the tap, drying it is not a problem, or is it possible not to "kill" it?

Rachael

I would just transfer the sand, let it settle and filter everything; in a day or two, everything will be fine. As for the fish, during this move, it's better to put them in a third aquarium... where to relocate the live rocks... that's what I would do... This way, the sand will remain intact, along with all the inhabitants.

Brenda

You take a hose, diameter 25mm, and a larger barrel. You use it to suck out the sand (by the way, this procedure goes very quickly). A regular nylon net, but also larger. You drain everything through the net into the barrel, periodically rinsing it, as it may get clogged with detritus. You pour the sand from the net into the new aquarium along with the biocenosis. Within 8-10 hours, the sludge in the barrel will settle, the water will clear up, and you can pour the clean water into the aquarium. Take it from the sea and put it in, don’t be afraid, just as you took it. There’s no need to rinse, kill, or dry it. These are also normal live rocks.

Jennifer7159

I wouldn't do it like I wrote above now))) Now only as I said.

Lynn4242

Thank you! I have enough stones to start, this is just for the future. I want to find a good semicircular one, drill it for the plates, take 3-4 types of mushrooms from Sanya, and make an assortment so that the colors mix and create one big colorful lawn of umbrellas.

Angela7060

I can already imagine how amazing it will look. The idea is quite good in my opinion.

Eric

This is plagiarism, I have seen something similar, it looks beautiful, contrasts well - I have come across pictures of similar "assortments" on the internet.

Amy

What is the volume of the new aquarium? Will there be a sump? How many liters? What other new features will be in the new aquarium? What will you do with the old one? Have you already moved to the new apartment? Or are you still living in the old place?

Linda

about 163 liters

Stacey4437

162.5 liters Why complicate things with the light? Cut your one-meter lamp and make it with T5 bulbs, just shorter. Why get involved with that MH? Install 4 lamps of 55 cm, and you'll be happy.

Antonio

I understand, cutting is not a problem, but 96 watts will be insufficient for my volume, which means I will have to add another one for two lamps, while mine is for four lamps. Having two fixtures, especially slightly different ones, won't look very nice, so I'm still considering the lighting.

Susan1358

that's also true

Laura3615

From 10 PM to 8 AM, the power went out. Everything would be fine, and oops, the stream is down, but... after working for about 2.5 hours, it started shutting down due to what seems to be an overload. Then I woke up every two hours to restart it (it worked for about an hour - a little more). Last time, it handled an 8-hour power outage without any shutdowns. Does anyone know what's wrong with it? Should I throw it away (the case)? Should I buy an inverter or a line-interactive 800 with a 9Ah battery? I don't have money for an online purchase right now. Currently, I have an APC Back-UPS CS 500, 7Ah, streaming 101 San-San at 6 watts.

James5032

If it's specifically voltage spikes, I recommend finding a regular Soviet stabilizer... But if it's just frequent power outages, then an uninterruptible power supply... By the way, I read about how they made an uninterruptible power supply in a makeshift way in some small town: they just took a battery from a car and went ahead.

Kathleen

Sanya, do you need my pen? I'm ready to give it to you!

Jacqueline5976

Hi! Are you talking about the stream or the UPS? If it's about the stream, San-San has this issue, I don't know why. I had a strong power surge once, and the protection turned off the power. Then it turned back on after a minute, but the stream was running in reverse))) After that, I turned it off, turned it back on, and everything was fine.

Stefanie9771

Me? I too.

David4968

Thank you! It won't fit in my Samp anyway, even the original won't fit (although your sole doesn't seem to have been enlarged). By the way, do you have the 388 model? That one is even bigger than the one that doesn't fit me at all. By the way, I was looking at "your younger one" for a while - it didn't fit either. There are no problems with the stream, Chinese industry works well and is not expensive. I'm talking about the UPS. By the way, it has been charging since 8 in the morning - it also doesn't turn off - either there is an overload or overheating when running on battery.

Christopher4125

this is overheating when running on battery..........I used to have the same issue, especially in summer, a small fan directed right at the UPS helps.

Jeffery

If Sanya-Turbik doesn't pick it up, you're second in line - delivery to Hanover at your expense. Well, at least I demand a bottle of beer in return. Sanya - this is "it" - I know you already have a Samp, but I can gift you an 8-glass along with it - just glue in one partition and it will be great - and it seems my back has healed, I can carry it myself - but it's better with two, otherwise I threw my back out when I was stuffing it into the cabinet. It's 85x45x42.

Tammy2040

I will be in Odessa in the summer - there will be a barrel. There will be a reason to get a bigger aquarium under the skimmer)))

Lindsey3362

we will remember these words

Yvette209

who would doubt it... I really want to go to Odessa...

James

I replaced the San-San 101 axis with a titanium one in the stream today; the old one is unknown, doesn't magnetize, but is heavier. The sound hasn't changed (there's a slight background hum), the old axis is fine, after six months of use it looks like new, so it's probably not harmful for the sea. Two small streams also arrived from China - the San-San 100 and the Resan Mini, so now I have something to play with in the new aquarium. P.S. In this aquarium, the 101 San-San creates softness over a length of 90 cm, even slightly directed upwards - so for my size/population, it's a bit too much.

Todd8452

Sanya, you need to choose the stream not so much by power as by the stones. You don't have many stones, so it's blowing hard... Regarding the UPS. Mine works for up to 8 hours without any problems on the same stream.

Angel2396

The task of the UPS is to keep the computer running and emit a loud beep until the computer is properly shut down, saving all unsaved tasks. UPS devices exist for such purposes - their runtime depends on the battery capacity.

Sara4035

Translate it, otherwise I didn't quite catch your thought.

Sarah7284

An Uninterruptible Power Supply is necessary - it doesn't matter what the consumer is - a computer or a stream, there are no "time limiters and overheating" - the runtime and power consumption of connected devices will depend on the capacity of the connected "battery." There's just one thing - the sine wave - but that's already a well-known topic.

Rebecca

It is planned to power it with a return of 25-32W, and its 8-hour battery of 7Ah won't last. Of course, it won't last... It lasted about 3-4 hours for me. Maybe it just overheats.

Jessica5016

Interesting! So can UPS be used with pumps? I mean, it's clear that an inductive current is needed, but still? It just shortens the lifespan. By how much? The power is generally not turned off, but there are fluctuations, and the protection kicks in for 1 minute. How much will the pump be affected in 1 minute through the UPS, or does it "suffer" constantly since it's connected through an uninterruptible power supply? Sorry for intruding on your topic.

Sherri1320

It's fine, there will probably be a new topic soon anyway. You can and should use a UPS with a pump, streaming, lighting, etc. - but which one (sine wave, approximation, or pure sine) is up to each person to decide. UPS is indeed the same as an uninterruptible power supply, just in "enemy" language.

Christopher4125

Can I also have the computer one?

Thomas1044

Connect the fan to the UPS (so that the diode bridges are cooled) and everything will work. I worked with the oldest UPS, a Stream 15000 Resan, and now I installed an online one. I didn't notice any difference in performance, but in this Stream, the UPS has its own battery, so it could smooth things out (dust instead of a sine wave)...

Kristen2246

So you did find where in Kyiv the stores with plastic doors are located, not the basement offices?

Stephanie3084

mind-blowing...

Andrea

I drilled some holes because I couldn't find where to connect the propeller, and I didn't want to have another separate wire (plus I thought it doesn't need to spin all the time). In the new cabinet, it will be placed nearby, so if the problem is overheating, it will resolve itself; it will have a bit of "pull."

Thomas5021

Connect it directly to the battery terminals - as long as there is electricity, it will draw power from the charger, and when it runs out, it will draw directly from the battery.

Robin

Sanya - come on, move in!!! Sanya - what will he control - rather than manage??? Is the cooler turned on or what??? Off-topic P.S. Well, you came up with such things about threads, I swear I've never heard anything like this from anyone else, about what and what, and the threads, apart from "gas" and "oxygen," have the same standards all over the world. Well, the measurement system might be different - some prefer inches, while others prefer metric - but they are the same threads, just in profile. At Nibki, the end of the thread is tapered to a cone, but the main thread is like everywhere else in the world.

Crystal

such as Oleg's in the topic for 22.50 euros. I just have one propeller at 120mm instead of six. I'm not talking about the thread (the thread is fine! - it screws in) but about the other side of the transition - it says 1/2 inch, but the inner diameter is 15mm, which is almost suitable for me. Off-topic, if you go to Epicenter, check it out - the diameters in white and yellow are different. Both say 1/2 inch, but you can see the difference in diameters (the threads are the same).

Christopher3770

The move to the new aquarium is postponed again, but I bought an air conditioner; however, the money for installation will be available in about two weeks, but it's still nice. Evaporation is 2-3 liters per day (with a propeller), but the sunny side and humidity turn the apartment into a mini-sauna - the room is 30-31 degrees, at least 28. It wasn't in the plans, but I had to.

David2398

Summer postponed the move... everything is not going well...

Hunter1471

If this were the launch of the first aquarium, it would be disappointing, but since it's already splashing at home, it's not that bad. The only "but" is that it's half-empty, and I don't want to set it up before the move. At the same time, there's still time to decide on the lighting - T5, mercury vapor, or LEDs.

Nancy

Sanya, the air conditioner is more important - it's better to endure - after all, the AC is powerful - and it will be easier for you - there you have a real sunny madhouse. But with the air conditioner - +23-24 in the aquarium without any fans, and it effectively lowers the humidity.

Daniel4967

The propeller cools well, and the controller has already arrived - I've almost "integrated" it into the new cabinet. Yes, I don't have any drafts from this side, so it feels stuffy in the apartment, but the sun is fine - during the day, the mosquito nets are off, and it's livable. No, 23-24 is too low, I get cold below 25, I need it to be 26 like in the aquarium.

Sherri1320

When I turn on the UV 36 watts, it heats up well plus the humidity, I turn on the air conditioner to 18 and everything cools down quickly.

Melissa2062

How's your sea? It's been a while since you shared any photos.

Beth3383

It's almost unchanged, like in the last photo in the thread. Until I move to another aquarium, I won't do anything with the old (current) one.

Chad9037

Could you please advise me! Will a "klein" butterfly fit into my 160 + 25 sump with my fish (2 clowns, blenny, Lo, and scopas)? Or will that be too much? It's just that it's not expensive, it also eats aiptasia and is not as delicate as a helmon - and I have a lot of aiptasia.

Laura3615

My only Vurdman hid for four days, and on the fifth day, she started hoarding iptaziy like crazy (at night).

Amber6362

my wunderkind was hiding and hoarding, but after about a week and a half or two, it died and where did you get the wunderkind, we don't have any

Erica752

Sanya, it's me who conjured with the tambourine, and the spirit of my late wunderkind has transferred to yours.

Mitchell3177

I think there won't be any problems, since your jar is mature and you set up a good pen and it's working fine...

Jeffrey6189

And from this, you concluded that the vurdemani live for three weeks? Besides that, I also visit Misha-Aqualife. By the way, Alik has already glued the aquarium in the store - they will soon be launching marine life there.

Shelby3182

Here, we should be more concerned about the other bezpovs. This is not Helmon... Although there were reports that sometimes there are Helmons who only breathe evenly with aiptasias and to bezpams...

Alyssa1438

Where did you read about what I wrote regarding the lifespan of wonder shrimp? By the way, as they say, it's the most delicate shrimp for "transplanting" - many people even glue them, I even translated it drop by drop into my water. Was there a wonder shrimp at Misha's??? It's strange, if there wasn't one at A's, then Misha must have had it. I don't know how it is there now, but the "Resan" marine tank with several live rocks and clownfish was still there about a year and a half ago - I even thought about getting a similar aquarium.

Aaron580

the aquarium will soon be completely "raw" I can handle that, and I have plenty of Ksenia - if she starts eating it, it's no big deal I'm more concerned about it "fitting" and having the right volume, and if I take a smaller one (there seems to be a choice), I hope my ones won't bully it, since my same fox is about 10 cm with a tail, and she periodically nudges the clown with her nose

Christopher4125

I don't see anything strange here - I took Otsikov from Misha, but they weren't there at that time.

Jeanne

Clowns can be found with any supplier, so the fact that Misha has them doesn't surprise me. Wunderwands are a completely different matter; they are listed in the prices of only a few suppliers. Despite the rich variety of their assortment, they also don't have it and never did.

Rodney3101

These are the Wurdemani clownfish - Misha cultivates them himself.

Nicholas5194

The cabinet is in place. Today, the passage couplings were installed, although I didn't like how the rubber was bending out. Tomorrow or the day after, the shaft will be checked for tightness - if everything is okay, then the parts in the cabinet will be connected (everything is assembled, just need to glue one seam) and there will be operational tests for a couple of days. After the completion of the fixture (not all the LEDs have arrived yet), I will "move" to the brand new one. The background is black, the shaft is black, and the glasses are smudged.

Phyllis

Rubber gaskets come in different qualities, but I prefer silicone ones (transparent), as they do not compress like rubber. I don't like the stone grid because I suspect that these squares will become stagnant areas. The organisms in the sand should be able to crawl freely.

Sherri1320

If the gasket is compressed, it means it is elastic and therefore airtight.

Laura4892

Everything is fine, there is a gap between the grid and the bottom, small creatures can crawl through, and the first grid has been in place for over a year.

Cynthia

I don't know, I'm kind of against the grid too... Only if we're building something vertical... Otherwise, you can take a look at what's under the stones in the old aquarium where the grid is, and then you can tell me...

Jamie3553

What is the purpose of the screed on top in the samp? The partitions should perform their functions well. Or is it very thin glass?

Jill1815

Sanya.........why is this grid here? Huh? What's the point of it? Are you afraid that the stones will press down the bottom? I think it's unnecessary; I have 70 kg of live rocks in one corner........everything is fine, they just lie on the sand.

Amy5468

The grid doesn't interfere (yeah, so it doesn't crash) - let it stay, just in case... the house is old, it will sink about three floors - it doesn't ask for food, it doesn't cause problems. Under the stones with the grid, just like under the stones without the grid - I've moved and rearranged it many times - there are no particular problems or stagnation there - the worms are doing well. The sump and the screed - there used to be cichlids swimming there, 50x30x35 glass 6 mm - the screed is basically unnecessary, if it gets in the way, I'll cut it.

Lindsey3362

I made the first batch of live stones on sand, having also heard about "the grid of worms holding" - well, there were movements in the first three months - until they settled down, and they are still moving. I made the second batch on a grid, took live stones from Gordey - I planned them out on the grid as I wanted, not just however it turned out inside - I fixed them with titanium wire and pushed in one ready composition - everything is still standing firmly, just as I designed it.

Collin

Sanya will 99% interfere - even 100% for sure. Samp is an amazing thing - it always interferes and there's never enough of it - and when it's in use, there's nothing you can do - it's better to just damage it right away with a precise sharp hit of a hammer on the corner - of medium power. P.S. And it turns out beautifully. I like the cabinet with those little metal pieces - I wanted to make a facade like that too.

Jennifer

LIGHT is the head of everything!

Monica

will swim tomorrow

Stacey4437

with GOD!

Michelle1662

Are you going to create some kind of airflow for the stones? I understand this is only part of the structures? Will the live rocks from the old aquarium come here as well?

Wendy

No, there the mine and the stones are almost touching, 0.5-1 cm to the glass. Almost everything will go up the structure, another dry piece (none suitable yet) and a couple of kg of new live rocks at the bottom. I still don't know if they will go in, but if they do, it will be after washing and cleaning - there are a lot of aptasia and valonia on them.

Catherine

Aren't you afraid there will be a stagnant zone behind the stones? It's easy to remove the volonia with tweezers and a knife... And for the aiphtaziy, just buy a couple of wunder-mani, and you'll be happy. Why ruin the J.K. (living stones)?!

Jasmine

I have one that overwhelmed everyone at conception. Now it is sad in the caves. They are bought for bad money - and you dry them ... especially if they are overexposed ... especially if they are charged ... in this case, it won't be a "laminar reboot," but a specific "turbo charge."

Isn't L30 enough for such a volume? Especially since the return is quite small. I have an Eheim 1250, which is more than enough (200 liters of dirty water, 200 liters of clean water in the system).

The assortment of "available" streams and the number of stones allows me not to worry about stagnant areas. Washing them under the tap with a brush is even easier. I have had both Wundermani and Helmon... I will take "Kleina" later. I don't have live stones there; there is dry reef rock. The launch will be laminar and without old stones.

Well, I have such power too - 1200, and the volume is similar, my filter is less "pressing" on the height than your Eheim, the outlet is covered by a third.
