• 3D Max in Aquaristics, or a Marine Aquarist Must Be Able to Do EVERYTHING! :)

One of my clients once decided to install a second marine aquarium. But he absolutely insisted on seeing the aquarium design in the interior first, and in 3D at that, to ensure the proportions and other golden ratios were just right. At first, I rushed to professional interior designers, but either their understanding of an aquarium in the interior didn't match reality, or I couldn't explain what I actually wanted to see; we just couldn't find a common language. Anyway, I scratched my head, downloaded 3DMax, and sat down at the computer. I should mention that I have no professional relation to computers, just an advanced user, nothing more. But the desire not to lose the client, plus my own excitement, pushed me to try and figure it out. So, after spending three evenings (I'm sure a proper designer would have taken no more than an hour), I cobbled together a project. The client agreed. Quite some time has passed since its implementation, and I decided to post the photos, so to speak "from the project to the final object," for your judgment.

Why isn't there an aquarium all the way to the wall (on the right) instead of this "cactus"? It looks a bit cluttered! And 2D Studio MAX in three evenings - wow!

Well, the Dursso and the hoses from the supply pump need to be hidden somewhere, and the foam generator also requires such a solution in terms of height. Moreover, the client did not want to place the control panel for the fire and other alarms (the white box on the wall) directly above the open water.

Maybe it's worth replacing the plastic (or whatever it is) with mirrors - then there will be a bit of "depth."

The plastic is removed during each maintenance - I'll quickly get tired of the mirrors, plus to keep them looking good, I'll have to polish them to a shine after each approach to the aquarium.

Yes, I fully support it, 3D MAX in aquaristics, and not only that, it's a useful thing!
