This is my first experience with saltwater aquariums. Before that, I had a freshwater one for a long time, and I still have a 200-liter freshwater tank now. The setup was on July 14th. It's a 285-liter aquarium. An 80-liter sump for it. Hagen GLO light fixture, ine-GLO 54W & Life-Glo 54W. Super Skimmer up 125GL. 18 kg of live sand, 36 kg of regular, and 30 kg of L.R. (live rock) at the moment. Ammonia, nitrite-0, nitrate-10, KH-14.4-14.1 measured by Salifert. pH 8.3, Ca 495, Phosphate 0.4, temperature 28, salinity 1.023. By the way, I feed my pets twice a day. I haven't fed the coral yet; I was advised to feed it a few times a week and spray the food directly onto it. I bought Caulastrea furcata. I read about it carefully; it seems to be low-maintenance. I placed it on the very top of the rocks for now because I don't have much light yet, so it's not too dark for it. Currently, the light is 2 T5 54W, white and blue. I'm looking for another light fixture for myself. 2 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp, 6 hermit crabs, 2 Ocellaris Clowns. A medium-sized 1 Blenny, about 8cm already I guess. 2 small Mandarin Dragonets, Synchiropus ocellatus, orange-spotted. There was only one, I think I need to buy a pair for it. They seem to do better in pairs. Everyone seems to be doing fine for now. A question has come up about how to feed the coral and where is the best place to put it. Apparently, it's better to glue it with adhesive. Another question about salinity and KH. I was recommended to raise the salinity to 1.025 for a reef tank. They said nothing lives below that level.
