• Isn't an excess of livestock harmful?

The problem is that there are many small brittle stars and the sand is full of fan worms the size of 50 kopecks, the entire bottom is covered with them. I haven't noticed any harm from them, is that true? As for the small stars, I understand they eat soft tissue, since I have repeatedly removed them from corals that were thriving and fragrant before their appearance, but now ??? Who knows if this situation needs to be thinned out.

Good evening, I don't think there is any harm from your pets, but if it bothers you, I can come by and take a little of it so it doesn't disturb your sleep. Thank you.

Small gray stars are called asterina, and I have a lot of them too! Many people say they are harmless! BUT!!! I have seen, and this is a fact!))) They eat soft tissue, especially young polyps! They have completely devoured my briarium; as soon as a young shoot appears, they immediately nibble on it! I am fighting them - I just remove them from the aquarium!

I had a harlequin shrimp clean the aquarium of asterina in a month, not a single one left.

And what should I do with this harlequin? It seems he only eats pufferfish, right? I was also thinking of getting one, but my asterinas aren't growing for some reason... I rarely see them.

What to do, I sold it after it killed a sand crab and ate one of its legs, now there are two sand crabs and one linckia living.
