Hello everyone! I had a rather unpleasant experience. A blue-legged hermit crab has been living in my aquarium for almost a year. Until now, it had behaved quite decently. A couple of times, it was seen eating small snails, but I didn't consider that a problem, especially since the snails breed faster than it can eat them. It sometimes crawled on the SPS corals, which I thought was harmless for them. Just in case, I provided it with new shells, which it changed according to its mood. Overall, everything was fine. But yesterday morning, this very crab ruthlessly killed a strombus and immediately crawled into its shell... basically "took over the place." My aquarium is small, all the inhabitants have names, everything as it should be. The tragic death of my beloved snail upset me. Now I don't know what to do with this rude crab?! Is there a chance that if I get a new strombus, the hermit crab will kill it too, or did it just not find a suitable shell for itself?
