• Color change of acanthurus.

The coral ACANTHASTREA LORDHOWENSIS, which lives in the aquarium, had a blue stripe along the outer perimeter of each polyp upon arrival. Now, the coral no longer has this stripe. The color is bright, the coral is gradually growing, and there are multiple polyps. It's interesting to know why it changed color. Is it the light? The food? The hydrochemistry? I don't feed it specifically; it sits on the bottom under T5 lamps. Any ideas?

closed on the left, open on the right. and that's it.

I understand that the coral released feeding tentacles in the second photo. It is uniformly red even without them. There is no blue ring at all.

It seems that the ring is indeed present. However, due to the opening of the mantle from which the tentacles emerge, it has shifted downwards. The tentacles will return to normal in a couple of months, coming out only at night, and the coral can once again proudly display the blue acanthus. For example, like this. And the ring is visible in the second photo near the large lower polyp beneath the red mantle. It hasn't positioned the mantle correctly yet.
