• Help identify the coral.

Good day. I received this little coral from a friend. Please help me identify what it is. The fragment is about 3-4 cm in diameter, the diameter of the polyps is up to 5 mm, the center is bright emerald green (not noticeable in the photo due to white balance issues), surrounded by brown tentacles, and in the dark, it only retracts the tentacles, not closing up.

It might be Galaxea sp., it definitely looks like it in terms of the polyps, or a dying goniopora.

I don't think it's a galaxea, since I already have a galaxea, and this thing hides its tentacles at night instead of extending them, plus the tentacle sizes are up to 2mm. Also, I looked into the goniopora - it's not that either.

Cornularia, tubipora, maybe something briareum-like. The photo here is not under actinarians and needs to be closer. The base, spiny without polyps?

Today in Ayrif, Denis was asking about such a thing. A beautiful coral, at least it looks very similar. I just didn't remember the name. It fluoresces wonderfully. You can ask from Ayrif, he should know.

Thank you, colleagues. I will ask. As for the prickliness, I won't say anything. The fragment is completely covered with polyps, and I don't know if there is a hard skeleton underneath them, and I'm afraid to touch it with my hands.
