Red algae, please help identify.

Thin red elastic threads constantly protruded from the live stones, but they didn't grow; someone was trimming them. However, from one small stone, this thread (which externally resembles a regular red sewing thread) began to slowly lengthen, and small leaves started to appear on it. I searched the internet and didn't find anything similar, so I decided to ask if it's time to do something. I can't take a photo yet - it's growing from the side of the stone, and the small leaves are only 3-4 mm. They are also red.

Well, I wouldn't be afraid of such red ones... especially with leaves. A photo would be nice... but even without a photo, I can say with a high degree of confidence - rejoice, happiness will come to you... red ones don't always bring us joy with their appearance...

I also think that based on the description, it doesn't look like a weed!! I'd like to see a photo.

Yes, unfortunately... the leaves haven't sprouted. Just small red twigs the thickness of needles. Some kind of nasty weed.
