I have Rhodactis, if I'm not mistaken, R. Indosinensis, with a disk diameter of up to 10-12 cm. A week ago, one of them started to show signs of decay in the oral cavity, and within a day, a hole appeared. I thought it was the end, so I spent the whole day brushing off the decaying tissue and directed a more intense flow of water at it. The maximum diameter of the hole was about 4 cm, and it healed. In two days, it split into three large parts and one small one, and after another three days, it looked like a normal, healthy Rhodactis. So, please help me understand whether this was a natural division or if it was some kind of trauma, disease, or something else. Maybe someone has encountered a similar phenomenon. Thank you in advance. ----- This is a photo before the division.

Hello! Most likely, he decided to share it himself; rodactises share through the mouth and not always just in half, although it is certainly possible that there was some kind of stimulus... Recently, my rodactis suddenly split into 6 parts, and shortly after that, another one split, but only in half... The first process was very difficult and took a long time (about a month), accompanied by a large amount of necrotic tissue; here is a photo of the beginning of this division:

Hello Ray, thank you for the photo, it looks just like my copy, now if anything comes up I will know, because I was a bit confused myself. As of today, the radicals feel, you could say, excellent, so the "births" have happened and there are new additions, we will raise the children, thank you.

I can add. They don't like strong currents.
