A strange star is shining.

Well, considering the complexity of the task, I will dare to assume Protoreaster lincki. If there is a way to simplify the task, we will think about it some more!

Very similar to Protoreaster, but I haven't seen R. lincki in such a small condition. I'll try to check... I can't find a photo of R. lincki without the red pattern for now. There is also a suspicion of Pentaceraster. And where is it from?
Sydney
No, I doubt that it belongs to the genus Protoreaster. There are no better photos for now. I will try to describe it in words. The size is 7-8 cm. The legs (ambulacral) are bright orange. The rays are short, much less flexible than those of Protoreaster linckii. The pattern is black on a yellow background with red spots. The upper side is mostly smooth, with five small spines around the center. It may be from the Indian Ocean.

Look here at Pentaceraster.
I didn't find anything similar in Mergus either.

Thank you. It looks like Pentaceraster, but I can't determine the species... I will try to take better photos after all.
