Good evening. Please advise! My fish (Helmon pincette) is sick. It is well-fed, has a good appetite, is the first to rush for food, and is active. However, lately, I have noticed white spots mainly on the side and lower fins and on the tail (not cryptic); they are more diffuse at first and then become more pronounced, about 1-2 mm in size. It is trying to get rid of them and is rubbing against corals and rocks. I noticed the spots on the fin about 7 days ago.

Helmona was acquired three weeks ago, was already well-fed, and as the seller claimed, was kept for a while. I noticed a slight cloudiness on the side fin right away but didn't think much of it (as it turned out, I was wrong). He was "prescribed" for about a week. All the other fish have been with me for over a year and were healthy (there are no signs of illness so far). The water parameters are normal. I am currently using an ozonator.

How was the helmon fed? I have been feeding it for about 5 days with only fan and earthworms. I tried artemia, shell-free shrimp (streptocephalus), live bloodworms and tubifex, boiled red shrimp, uncooked royal shrimp, and mussels. I made two feeders in the areas where it frequently resides, one from a shell and a transparent tube with a hole.

The first Helmon lived with me for six months but never started eating (I made feeders and fed him different food). This one arrived already well-fed and started eating from the first day. Good luck and patience to you!
