Good day to all marimans! I ask for your help with a 300L aquarium, parameters pH 8.2, kH 8, Ca 480, nitrate 0, nitrite 0, phosphates 0. All corals are feeling well except for two euphyllias; I've already thrown one away, and I don't understand the reason. Every day, they are retracting more and more.

Christine

Euphiliums do not like strong currents and bright light. It is essential to add trace elements or regularly change 20% of the water each month (this is from personal observations).

What trace elements??? With substitution and flow, everything is good!

Gregory

If you do normal substitutions, then trace elements are useless. I had a hammer euphyllia that was closed for 4 months. I tried everything. The aquarium was after a restart. Then it gradually came back to life. It was probably the young aquarium syndrome. The parameters are now as follows: PH-8.2, KH-7, Ca-420, Mg-1320, Nitrate-5, PO4-0, Salinity 1.025.
