Good evening, forum participants. Due to my many years of experience in marine aquaristics, I seek your help! The problem with the aquarium of our colleague (from Mukachevo, he is not registered on the forum) is as follows: The aquarium is 120 liters, and the sump is 30 liters, and it has been running for 2 years. During this time, the aquarium has not shown its full beauty (there have been no bright coral colors). The setup of the aquarium includes 20 kg of dry reef rocks, 2 kg of live rock, sand purchased from Arowane, a San San 3000 l pump, a Jebo 180 skimmer, and a 600 l return pump. The light cycle is 12 hours. Tetra salt is used, and water changes are done once a month with 10 liters. Over this period, a significant number of soft corals have simply "died" (Parazoanthus, Xenia, Protopalythoa, mushrooms, Euphyllia, umbrellas, Sinularia). The lighting has been changed (it was MH150 + T5, now it is LED). The tests conducted during this time (KH, pH, calcium, magnesium, nitrates, phosphates) have not shown anything catastrophic (there was once a significant drop in Ca and Mg). I will post the new test results tomorrow. There are no lower algae like cyanobacteria or filamentous algae... Actions taken include a 50-liter water change six months ago, but it did not yield results... The inhabitants are: 1 clownfish, 2 Chrysiptera, 2 Stomatus. Perhaps someone has some guesses... Photos are attached.
