I went away for the weekend, the aquarium was unattended, and my little dog died (she didn't eat, just nibbled on the algae, so I think that's why she died and not because of an illness). I don't know when it happened, whether it was the day I left or when I returned, but I took her out yesterday, apparently not in time. Today I noticed that two of my fish - the surgeon and the clown - are covered in spots, even though the clown hadn't had anything for over a month and the surgeon had never had anything, he was always clean. Do you think there's a connection to the dog's death or is something wrong in the aquarium again? The parameters are normal. The other fish are fine too. All the fish are eating as if nothing happened. Also, the clown has some kind of sore or ulcer on its skin; I remember a small ocellaris died from something similar before. Another event that happened between the outbreak and the dog's death was that I caught a butterflyfish from the reef (I couldn't feed it, the food just wouldn't reach it), so I had to take everything apart and put it back together. But it’s unlikely that this could have affected anything since the aquarium was back to normal within an hour.
