The situation is as follows: I was away for a week. From Sunday to Friday. The fish were fed on Monday and Friday. On Friday, a clownfish was found lying on the sand. It reacted to feeding but only took food that was close by. I decided to observe, as I associated this behavior with a possible migration "up the mountains" of the bubble tip anemone, where the clownfish had lived before. The anemone was located under a rock, so I thought that the melanopus had simply gotten used to lying on the bottom, under the cover of the tentacles. The past two days have been bleak for him. He lies there, swaying on the bottom. There are no spots or film. The tail fin is a bit ragged, clean, not faded, and without any film, but for now, I attribute this to his "bottom" way of moving. It seems that he cannot float; rather, he can make a dash but then goes back to the bottom! So far, the conclusion is that one of the neighbors (the female melanopus, suspected, the yellow tamarin, or the black sea dog - a sphynx) hit him in the fight. I am not thinking about bacterial infection, food issues, or poisoning for now, as the behavior of the other fish is normal. If anyone has encountered or knows similar symptoms in fish behavior, please let me know.
