Hello EVERYONE!!! I have a young system, I had a 150L aquarium for 6 months, and then I connected another 400L + a 120L sump 3 months ago!!!!! I brought an anemone from Odessa. It was inflated for a day, then it started moving around. It crawled behind a rock and lived there for about 10 days; I turned the rock to expose it to the light. The next day it deflated, lasted another 2-3 days, and then dissolved!!!! I brought another one from Kyiv. The same thing happened, but it didn't move. It lived for 3 weeks and then fell off, and then it spit out its insides and THAT'S IT!!!!!! I brought 3 more anemones from Odessa, and 2 of them are already feeling unwell after a week!!!!!! PLEASE HELP WITH SOME ADVICE ON WHAT MIGHT BE WRONG.!!!!!!!! P.S. Water parameters are normal!!!!! Temperature is no more than 26!!!! The sand sifting star has been living for 7 months without any problems. All the other creatures are fine too!!! Here is one anemone and its condition.

Slavik, are you aware that it's recommended to plant an anemone no earlier than six months after setting up the aquarium? From the photos, it seems you still have a lot of cyano growing. If that's the case, it's still too early for the anemone, as they are more demanding than ricordeas. Wait until autumn, then try again.

Hello! Large host anemones are quite sensitive animals. Check the salinity; slightly elevated salinity is better for host anemones than lowered salinity. It is quite possible that during the connection to the first aquarium of 400 liters plus a 120-liter sump, there was a mistake with the salinity. The main thing is that your aquarium is clearly still young for anemones; judging by the condition of the substrate and rocks in the photos, it still needs time to mature before you can plant such animals. Don't rush; wait another 4-5 months.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE RESPONSES!! Guys, I’ll be honest, I didn’t know that anemones are so demanding. Not a single seller mentioned this!!!!! There are only two green ones left, do you have any advice on how to save them???? I hope that those 2 might be resilient!!!!! P.S. There are no words, only TEARS!!!!!! I feel so sorry for the animals!!!!! And $150 for 3 cool anemones!!!!!!

Are green anemones by any chance carpet ones? They really love to eat small fish!!!

Try adding carbon and temporarily increasing the number of substitutions, it might help. Also, measure the pH in the morning before turning on the lights and in the evening before turning them off; a strong spike in acidity is not beneficial either. And do not buy more actinium for at least a couple of months.

Hello!!! Yes, I heard that they are dying in the system. I brought the first actinium, and it died after 15-17 days!!! The next one I brought from Kyiv only after 3 weeks, and it also lived for 3 weeks!!!! But the third one died right after the second one!!! It's been 2 days, and the other two are still alive!!!!! I also added coal!! Thank you for the advice!!!
