• How to identify a mandarin duck, female or male?

I have a tangerine, and I thought it might be a bit lonely by itself. So I want to buy another one, but I don't know how to determine its gender. Can someone help? Thank you.

The male has a long first ray of the first dorsal fin.

It is visible even with the fin closed; the male's ray hangs to the side.
