I am actually interested in who kept Platax Ephippidae. Your experience, observations, etc. Here is what they write. I saw a couple of Platax batfish (Platax pinnatus) in a terrarium at Volodya's place in Odessa.

Yes, I remember two pinnaatus came (it was a long time ago) they were beautiful. They just didn't eat and died after about three days.

The requirements for keeping fish are relatively simple. You need a spacious aquarium, good water, compatible tank mates, moderate current, and proper feeding, preferably a couple of times a day. The problem is that they grow quickly to 45-50 cm, and then the trouble starts with figuring out what to do with them.

I don't know, we have a marine aquarium in the Odessa terrarium with two Platax pinnatus. I visited a year ago, and they were 15-17 cm long with long fins. Now I went in a year later... they are the same size as they were, they haven't grown at all... maybe they are not being fed well there? Volodya can tell more...
