For the new jar, I decided to make a foam generator. Many people probably have this thought sometimes. A wonderful pot was purchased in the flower department at Epicenter, which started the project. In the kitchenware section, I found a Fakelman container for greens, which is a great item for the bowl with a ready-made lock connection. The pump is a JEBAO DC4000. Adapters, a needle wheel, a venturi, and other parts were printed on a 3D printer. I temporarily used a CD case as a chamber. The camera is still being printed, but I wanted to test it out. The valve (drainage and level regulator) is not ready yet. However, the first run showed its viability. The total height is 60 cm, and the height of the main flask (under the pot) is 40 cm.

There are questions about the Venturi. I tried different options and got different results, but I would like to know the parameters of the factory foamers. I am interested in the ratio of the inlet and outlet diameters. First foam.

Hello! The inner diameter of the venturi can be made from 16 to 18 mm.

Thank you once again. I made a venturi with an internal diameter of 18. The foam is excellent - thick, with small bubbles. The venturi pulls just like a vacuum pump.

Recently, I checked the skimmer, and it was pushing water over the top. I decided to do some maintenance and cleaning. This is the first cleaning (before that, I only washed the cup). Despite more than six months of continuous operation, everything inside is clean. However, when I disassembled the pump, I saw the reason for the skimmer's inadequate behavior. The snails were having a carousel. Forum members, please share advice on how to better protect the pump from snails getting inside? Maybe I need to change the design of the needle wheel somehow? Or a filter at the inlet? But which one so that it doesn't affect the skimmer's performance?
