Good day. There may already be something similar here, but I couldn't find anything. It is made simply from a bottle and two hoses. Very reliable. It works on the principle of vacuum, meaning if one tube loses contact with the water, water flows immediately. When the contact with water is restored, water stops flowing from the second tube. It's a vacuum, after all! I experimented with this in the bathtub, it's cool! Now I just need to hide it in the wall cabinet, and that's it. The important thing is that it costs very little to make and is super reliable!!!! Good luck.

It seems that the direct YouTube view does not open in the forum, so I will leave a simple link instead.

It is also important that the bottle, if possible, is not soft (made of plastic) but glass, because it will slip and draw water from the aquarium.

It is interesting to know how long it takes for the salinity of water in a container to become uniform.

Never. In theory, if water does not drain from the container at all, then... well, you can pick up textbooks and calculate, but it takes a long time.

Well, why? About the size of a pack of cigarettes.
