• Autofill by pressure switch.

I am looking for an automatic refill system for myself, and I have seen float, electrode, and LED types. However, I haven't seen pressure switch systems. Since I run a service for repairing washing machines and dishwashers, I have an understanding of the components in washing machines, where the pressure switch monitors the water level and controls a 2kW heating element (specifically, if there is no water, the heating element circuit is open). Additionally, the pressure switch operates in a dirty, aggressive environment. Strangely enough, pressure switches fail very rarely. Any mechanical pressure switch has a common contact, empty, full, and overflow (an emergency contact for high water level). I plan to organize a refill system in my aquarium using a pressure switch. Once I do it, I will share photos.

There are different types of pressure switches for SMA, and our understanding of the system operating on a pressure switch may differ. Can you tell me if a water level differential of 5 cm in the sump is possible, or is it better to maintain 1-2 cm? P.S. In SMA, there is also not a meter-high column of water.

In SAMP, the differential is usually kept at 1-2 cm. And the water column is about 20 cm there. I once thought about an automatic refill based on this principle, but the sensors that meet the requirements cost a fortune.

Ultrasonic rangefinders.

Seryoga, you are falling behind progress. It's sad.
