• help with the sea project

Dear forum members, I need help with the calculations for the drawings of the aquarium, the sump, and the overflow. The aquarium dimensions are 70*55*70, with 8 mm glass and a view from three sides, so I am thinking about minimizing the overflow as much as possible to avoid obstructing the view. Which type of overflow is better in this case: square, triangular, or rectangular with holes in a row? (According to my calculations, the minimum size is 8.5*22 cm). The overflow is a stockman type; what will be the height of the overflow? The sump dimensions are 50*35*40, with a BM Curve 7 skimmer, without balling and other extras. Please help with the drawings and calculations for the glass cutting. Will the stand hold up without a metal frame? In general, I have a lot of questions and would be very grateful for any assistance. If anyone has the ability to work on the project in a program, that would be great.

A cabinet without a metal frame will hold up, the main thing is to ensure its ventilation, as water will evaporate from the sump. And particle board + moisture + several hundred kilograms on top = trouble. If I were you, I would make a cabinet with a metal frame... and sleep peacefully.

I understand perfectly, the cabinet was already ready, made of MDF, and now I'm wondering whether to bother with a frame or leave it as it is.

I am a sailor with no experience, and I'm afraid to suggest something foolish; I just saw an interesting idea from someone on the forum. The mine was in the shape of a trapezoid, and the glass in the center looked really great; it was almost invisible, and the aquarium would be beautifully visible from three sides! By the way, here's the topic -

Indeed, the forum is as dead as it gets. Apparently, we shouldn't expect any help.
