• Sea at 58 liters

  • Marie5348

Hello everyone... I'm a complete novice when it comes to the sea, but I still want to...)) I've always wanted to have a marine aquarium, but I thought it was too expensive and complicated. However, I stumbled upon a couple of topics and realized that it's actually possible. So, let's get started: - I glued together a 58-liter aquarium (600/240/400) - I bought a Resun SF 700 hang-on filter and was shocked by its size - Tetratec Comfort, which also turned out to be quite large - a thermometer - 3 T5 lamps (438mm) from Juwel + ballast, etc. - PVC for the lid - reverse osmosis + resin - TDS meter I plan to get: - a heater (75-100 W, thinking about 120) - a pump (what should I get? up to 200) - a skimmer (but I'm not sure) - live rock (where is the best place to buy it in Kyiv?) - live sand (is it necessary or not?) / crushed coral - salt (which one to choose and how much for the initial period) Well, that's all I can remember... if I forgot something, please let me know... I will describe and photograph the entire process... I hope for a quick response. Thank you all.

Buckwheat 75-100w norm, preferably not Chinese, for example, aqnael. A flow pump for 900l/h. Up to 200 only from China, I have a Hydor. A skimmer for this volume is not needed for water changes. Live rock (LR) can be obtained from the forum or take 5-7 kg from Marchenko. Live sand is better (it has a lot of life in it), only fine crushed sand will do. Good salt is necessary, as it affects a lot... I use RED SEA coral pro salt. Buy a refractometer for measuring salinity. Two T5 lamps of 24w, one white and one blue actinic, are quite sufficient. Good luck with salinity!

I read a couple of topics and I'm thinking of making a side sump in the aquarium. As I understand, I need to place a partition 10-15 cm from the side wall and create 3 compartments there... Maybe someone can advise me on how to do this correctly if the size of the aquarium is 60(d) x 35(w) x 40(h)???

I will take the Coral Nano 900 pump, I already have a refractometer, and I will be assembling a new aquarium 600x250x350(h) with a sump of 3 compartments 110x250x350(h) for the upper one (what pump do you recommend for the return), skimmer SK-300. I will get the LCD from ZP in the center of aquaristics.
