• Return to marine aquaristics

Congratulations, dear saltwater aquarists! A long time ago, during a move, my old 230-liter marine aquarium had an accident. I was forced to sell off the equipment and aquatic life. Time passed, and I set up a 450-liter planted tank. Its dimensions are 1960x470x500 mm, with 10 mm glass. Almost a year has gone by, but I realized with horror that I cannot live without the sea... So, let's get to work! Everything freshwater is up for sale! ))) Based on the display dimensions of 1960x470x500 mm, I am starting to build a soft reef with fish. The technology from my previous marine setup has advanced. I have sifted through a lot of information, made some conclusions, and chosen equipment, but there are still questions, and advice from experienced, respected marine aquarists will be extremely necessary! The actual volume, including the sump, is 450 liters. Lighting: three 150W 15000K metal halides, 4 actinics 39W 85 cm. (LEDs are very expensive, and I don't like them) Sand depth is 2-3 cm, and dry reef rocks (DRR). Return pump from the sump: Jebao DCW-4000. Skimmer: Bubble-Magus Curve 7 with an air consumption of 520 l/h. Two circulation pumps Jebao SOW-8 ranging from 700 l/h to 8000 l/h. I have never dealt with long displays for marine setups, nor with shallow ones. Friends, please advise and point out any mistakes. This is very important to me! Thank you in advance for your responses!
