Are T5 relevant?

Good afternoon! Could you please tell me if T5 lights are still relevant? Everyone I ask says LED, and I can hardly find any marine lamps for sale; everything is for freshwater. The budget for a good LED is not enough, only 150 USD.

Good lamps will not be cheaper than LED - one lamp at 24W costs 400+ for the fixture - you won't stay within budget + you need to change the lamps. You could create one topic - like planning a marine aquarium - specify the desired volume, livestock, etc. - and people will give you more accurate advice. Here you go - Here you go again - take Semileds diodes, they are 30% cheaper than Cree.
