Good afternoon, I am planning a system up to 50 liters 500x350x350 for the sump, I will separate 500x100x350, but this is not yet certain, it may be longer. Why built-in? Simply because there is no space. The sump will have a skimmer, heater, live rock, and pump. I have some questions: 1. Skimmer I looked for one up to 400, but realized it’s not an option. I came across the Fluval Sea Protein Skimmer (330x125x80) 850, which has the right size and an acceptable price. Can anyone tell me how it performs? Is it very noisy? Or can someone suggest another option in the same price range? 2. Pump Theoretically, I need a pump V×10 = 500 l/h with a ceramic shaft. But nowhere does it say whether the shaft is steel or ceramic. Can you advise which pump to choose? Which brand? Maybe it’s better to take a 1000 l/h pump with adjustment instead of 500 l/h? Quiet operation and small dimensions are a priority since the sump is only 100 mm wide. 3. How to organize the sump so that the skimmer is not higher than the aquarium level? I assume I need to lower the water level in the section of the sump where the skimmer will be placed. For this, the skimmer needs to be moved to the second compartment. 4. How to glue a plastic partition for the sump in a glass aquarium? I read that sealant is not suitable. It will be more complicated with the glass since I need to cover the background so that the sump is not visible and cut a piece for the grid. Please help me resolve these issues quickly, as I don’t want to glue the aquarium again without considering the details. I already have two like this in the storage room.
