• Use of an ozone generator

  • Bryan1851

Hello everyone! Who is using ozone (but not a weak one)? The question is this - I installed the ozone two days ago, and the redox potential is not growing significantly. During the day, it drops to 280, and at night, it rises to 300. The question is how quickly should the ozonator raise the redox potential in the system to 360-380? I'm using a Deltec 600 skimmer (hanging), with Aqua Medic 4mm carbon at the water and air outlet, a Rena 400 compressor, a dehumidifier, and a 25 ozone generator (set to maximum). The aquarium has 200 liters of net water.

Apparently, no one has an ozone generator! I'm also interested in this topic regarding its purchase.

There is, but low-powered; I don't see the point in a powerful one for many reasons.

From the lengthy discussion on the topic of the ozonator at the reef center, one can conclude its almost complete uselessness (with some exceptions) for marine aquariums. Prolonged use of the ozonator in a constant mode does not lead to any positive or negative changes in the aquarium. In my opinion, monitoring the redox potential is a futile endeavor. Even good electrodes can give misleading readings due to various influencing factors. Therefore, I completely agree with this. It can be used in a periodic mode for preventive purposes.

The ozonator combined with the redox potential meter is an amazing thing. It turns on and off when needed. Always blue water and no bags of coal, but it's not a budget option. And no UV lamp is needed. I will be installing it for myself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What is "awesome"?

Some praise, some criticize. Still, I will try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk.
