Here will be photos or a brief description of the modernization of the BOYU TL 550 stand and aquarium. 1) Reinforcement of the stand - pine beam 5*5 cm, board 2.5*10 cm (for saunas). 2) The first compartment of the sump has been enlarged: 11.5*16 cm - now any quality nano skimmer, like Deltec or Tunze, can be used here. 3) Holes have been cut in partitions 1-2 and 3-4 - for the skimmer level and for the possible replacement of the return pump with a more powerful one (and accordingly larger in size). 4) The entire lid has been "cleaned up." Some ribs, stubs, and other plastic have been cut off. Ventilation holes have been cut out. 5) The lamps have been rotated 90 degrees. 6) The matte part of the sealed lighting fixture has been cut off - a piece of acrylic 1 mm thick. 7) A custom-made LED block with a controller has been made. 8) A cooling block made of two fans (6 cm) has been installed in the hinged part of the lid. 9) A cooling fan for the LED radiators (12 cm) has been inserted in the central part of the lid. I am currently considering the savings, but it seems I won't have time to do it now. However, there are no difficulties - a pipe of 10-12 mm can easily be laid through compartments 4-3. A stand was needed for the skimmer (to ensure the highest possible water level in the sump) - it turned out like this, on silicone legs.
