• The MG light turns off due to power outages.

Honor! In short, a problem has arisen. I've noticed in recent days that the electricity supply is very unstable, with constant short interruptions. Even though the interruptions last less than a second, it's enough for the metal halide lamp to go out, and it won't turn back on until it cools down. This "light music" keeps shining for about 5 minutes, then there's a short interruption, and the lamp goes out. It cools down for about a minute, turns back on, and then there's another interruption. Within an hour, it goes out 5-10 times. Does anyone have any advice? The fixture is a SunSun HLD-640c, 250W MH + 2x24W T5. The ballast in the fixture is likely electromagnetic; I haven't disassembled it yet to check. Will replacing the ballast solve the problem? Are there any other suggestions?

Mary

I think a good ballast for the electronic ballast will help. Usually, the electronic ballast specifies the operating voltage range. If the voltage fluctuations in your network fall within this range, the problem may be resolved. To be honest, it's time to move away from electromagnetic "boilers." After all, the bulbs are not cheap and should operate in a gentle mode.

Thank you! Maybe someone can recommend which manufacturers and models of electronic ballasts for MG-250W? I found one like this, but it seems to be a noname.

Lauren

I recommend Vossloh Schwabe to you. Take a look here.

Here are low-power ones, for T5 lamps. I need one for 250W MH lamps.

Sometimes the lamp acts up in the MG light fixture.

as an option, a low blood pressure voltage stabilizer. 2000va of the same Luxion should be enough.
