However, doubts immediately arise regarding the sustainable export of organic matter and other by-products of life from the system. More specifically, how well the standard device will perform and whether it needs to be redesigned, replaced, and if so, with what? Which manufacturers and brands are suitable in terms of size and better in terms of characteristics? And what are the main requirements that should be imposed on the foam separator of each system in the case of custom manufacturing? This is not about a complete redesign, drilling holes, etc. The discussion is only about the modernization of the foam separation system. They promise it will be available for sale no earlier than March this year. Since I need it urgently, I changed my order to the Aqua Medic Turboflotor Blue 500 model. I have a Resan working with a full-fledged SAMP in the drawer. But in principle, it should fit in the rear compartment as well - I have a light instead of the MG cover, and there is free space above the aquarium.

Deltec MCX 300. Practice of use in BOYU TL 550. Installed in the 3rd compartment of the sump. It was producing bubbles (in the 4th compartment - the return pump). I placed a coarse sponge 6.5 cm under it. It started to produce "dust" from the air. I haven't solved this problem yet. Or maybe it's not a problem... but it bothers me. Addition: After a week, the skimmer has settled in - and without the sponge, bubbles do not enter the system.
