I've been into freshwater aquariums for about 3-4 years, started on the path of buying a jewel cichlid and observing without changing anything, experimenting. After that, I began to "get smart" (bought a bigger aquarium, started selecting fish by region, began changing equipment, etc.). I'm reading a lot about saltwater aquariums (I want to stick with freshwater for now) and I can't grasp everything right away. Maybe I should follow the same path - buy a ready-made saltwater aquarium (from China or Poland) and gain experience over time to understand what I need. I just don't want to throw a lot of money into something I don't know about and then realize I should have done it completely differently. What do you think?

Read, read, and read the forums again! You don't think that years of experience and knowledge can be condensed into a couple of pages of typed text, do you? ))))))

If you want to do everything yourself, you definitely need to read and read, and if something is unclear, read it again. Understanding the process doesn't come immediately, and it wouldn't hurt to have someone knowledgeable to help you.

It would also be good to decide right away what you want to keep in the aquarium.

Understood, I will study the material for now.
