On this forum, the topic "Crazy Skimmer" has not yet been raised. I would like to hear the feedback of sailors who are facing this problem. After adding chemicals, the quality of the skimmers is compromised. I have a skimmer that goes crazy once a week, starting to produce foam like a madman. I suspect it's either a reaction to some chemical or a certain concentration of substances builds up, causing an explosion. And no adjustments can stop it, except unplugging it from the socket. I use KZ and Prodibio Boster. Well, with Boster I understood the reaction is instant, but with KZ I haven't figured out yet whether it reacts or not. Here is an ATI skimmer video, approximately the

I don't have any issues. After adding food, the foam level may temporarily decrease. However, Iā€™m not adding anything to the aquarium right now except vodka. I can artificially induce "frenzy" by dropping a couple of drops of CURE from Tropic Marin at the inlet (this is to avoid cleaning the bowl - it self-cleans this way).

I also have a skimmer producing more foam than ever before. But I used Red slime remover, and I associate this amount of foam with that. I don't know if this is a normal occurrence in my case. In 3 hours, I drained 3 cups of clear skim.

The foam from the Riffbooster drops for a couple of hours - there's a lot of fat in it. But the Ultra Min F from Fauna Marin was crazy - it exploded. However, knowing this, I turned it off for a couple of hours. The rest of the time everything is stable.

The thing is, my skimmer hardly reacts to feeding. Yes, if I use PRODIBIO, I agree the skimmer can be turned off at night since it runs every two weeks. But KZ is dosed daily with 4-5 products.

Open the water return valve from the foam generator all the way and watch for it to settle, then screw it back and adjust the height of the foam rise.

As practice has shown, it all comes down to the foam. You take a proven brand, and there will be no problems.

Max, can you provide more specifics about which one was angry? And which verified one refused to "get angry" about the supplements? We will consider this not as advertising/anti-advertising, but simply as your private case.
