• Question about creating a marine aquarium

  • Laurie3842

Hello. I decided to start a marine aquarium. I have no experience with it, previously I kept only freshwater and even then of a small volume. So I have such a question, tell me if the VISION 450 aquarium will be suitable for a marine aquarium, and if so, what can I leave from the standard equipment or is it necessary to change everything? If you need to change, then what to? The standard equipment includes (Internal filter, Thermoregulator, 54w (T5) lamp - 2 pcs.). For myself, I see a marine aquarium: (live rocks, approximately 20-25 kg, a couple of clown fish (for them I want to buy a live anemone), a couple of yellow surgeonfish, possibly later an angel fish (I haven't decided which one yet), what can you advise from invertebrates? How to properly set it up in

And what will you do with the source water once you solve the issues?

I would do this if I were you. I would get to know the sailors from Donetsk; you have enough specialists in this field there. Get in touch with someone, see everything in person, and talk, and it will be clearer to you, although there will always be a lot of questions. Otherwise, you can get confused, and it could turn into a joke. You definitely need live communication, and to start, at least read this book: "Reef Aquarium" by A. Savchuk, 2005. Best regards.

There is definitely not enough light. With the height of your aquarium, multiply what you have by at least 4. Ideally, remove the lid and order proper lighting with MH + T5. Plus, a sump overflow. Is the stand standard? It’s better to modify it to accommodate a full sump. Overall, the tank itself, after some "minor" upgrades, will certainly be suitable. If you are ready for this, we can organize everything neatly.

I was also thinking about redesigning my ROI-300... but it turns out that almost everything needs to be redone!!! So I sold it and ordered a new one. Specifically for the sea! Taking into account all the nuances and features. Think about it. In your case, the cost of modifications will be almost equal to the cost of a new aquarium. Also, the VMZHIN series slightly distorts due to the curvature of the glass.
