Help calculate the approximate cost of such an aquarium (with substrate but without corals and fish, etc.).

Steven7574

How is that?

if only we knew the dimensions... then we could determine the weight and cost... and many other things... as it is, approximately 5 to 15 kg of glass, 0.45 - 1 sq.m., and it could cost from... to)))

Emma

the exact number of liters multiplied by the price per liter

Daniel9952

I think a person is interested in the cost of the aquarium plus all the necessary equipment.

Daniel8015

Excuse me, can I ask what you have in your 30-liter aquarium for a couple of thousand? I just spent 140 on my 1000-liter setup with equipment...

Rachel

I have 30 liters and 230 grams of vegetables.

Jeffery

Well, why is it so expensive? For example, I stopped counting after 3000 on my 110 liters. Different people use different equipment. And if you calculate the cost of the aquarium + stand + lights + external filter + sterilizer + CO2 with a cylinder and a Kamozzi + timers, plus substrate, good purchased plants, fish, etc., it adds up to quite a lot. Of course, I agree, I also set up a 20-liter tank with all the equipment for 200, but that's not a benchmark.

Nicholas

I think that without the aquarium and stand, at a minimum, you need 5-10 kg of sand, 8-10 kg of live rock, salt, lighting, and equipment, totaling about $500. And then it only goes up from there. Trust me, set up at least 250 liters right away, or in just six months you'll realize you needed a larger volume, and there will be regrets, and it won't be without swearing. Good luck.

Leah

I agree with everything, but if we want to have proper lighting, it won't be less than 200. Viktor, an amateur question - coal? Some say it's needed, some say it's not, and some say "throw it out"... I'm starting without it for now... Just pondering...

I marked infinity with the symbol "~". I use coal for one reason only, as described in the topic by Lev Mironov, the link to which I provided to you.

The question is in the section: general questions about marine aquaristics. I haven't shared my estimates because I don't remember what and how much it cost. I'm not good at that. But there is a rough figure: $10 per liter of a marine aquarium with equipment, stand, and animals. For larger volumes, this figure is adjusted downward. This is to understand whether it's worth starting with a marine aquarium. After that, you just need to sit down and calculate what is needed and at what price.

What is there to count for the first six months? We buy, fill, and install the aquarium (live stones) (I don't know where to get them) 10x160=1600 and enjoy watching the emergence of life.

Ryan1989

We are reading the topic, it is about 25-40 years old.

ups didn't pay attention. then Resun DMS 400 or something like that, I don't know how it's spelled minus 500 (but it's not worth it)
