• Salt consumption during water changes

  • Melissa1838

As a potentially future sailor, I wanted to calculate the costs of this pleasure. At the moment, I am considering the "Mini Nemo" option. Expensive equipment is out of the question in favor of frequent large water changes. Therefore, costs will only increase for purchasing salt (unlike a freshwater aquarium). I couldn't find its consumption anywhere. Can you tell me how many grams of salt per liter should be added during water changes?

38 g If I'm not mistaken

I'm sorry, but how do you envision all of this? To be honest, I'm having difficulty providing you with any explanations. Let's start in order. 1. Do you have an understanding of what a marine aquarium is, meaning the choice of salt brand, water density (using a hydrometer)? Will you be able to conduct water tests and maintain the parameters at the required levels? I think it's difficult to resolve such matters on a forum; it should be done differently and without haste. It's better to call me at 239 30 11, and we can talk, as it's hard to explain everything in just one page. Best regards.

Keep a heated herb garden with nutrient-rich soil and all possible equipment is quite difficult. I can somehow test the water. How much salt do you personally add per liter during a water change? No need to go into detail, just answer the question if possible. Thank you.

Do you think that your overclocked planted tank is harder to maintain than a marine reef? Both SPS and even soft corals are child's play compared to a planted tank, so I really can't understand what's going on here, sorry, I must have been mistaken.

Can someone give me an estimate of the costs for salt? I heard 38 mg/L from one person, so we can use that as a reference. P.S. Let's not compare anything.

I gave my upgraded herbarium to my mom. She manages it well. THE SEA IS MUCH more difficult to maintain. You received an answer to your question. But it won't help you. I can add to the answer: the density is 1.026. Translating to plain language: "What about your aquarium? I had a hamster when I was a kid. This is not the same... Do I need to turn on a light above the aquarium? Just answer the question." Study the issue more deeply. It's better to read a book, for example, at least Ova and Savchuk's "Marine Aquarium."

I count money, there can be no problems with studying the issue. The topic is closed. Thank you all. P.S. We need to be a bit softer.
