Good day, dear forum members! I want to get into marine aquaristics, and I recently learned that there is a marine aquarium for beginners with almost a complete set of equipment included - Red Sea Max. Please share your impressions of this system if anyone has kept it! Thank you in advance!

There was a topic where a person was selling their Red Sea Max. Contact him—he might have some advice!

For beginners? Hmm... I think this is not quite the correct wording. If you chose the RSM (130 liters) based on the volume, then it is a great misconception that aquariums with a small volume are easier to maintain. This applies to both overall stability and maintenance in particular. Firstly. Secondly, Red Sea is not the only company that produces aquariums with a complete set of equipment, but if you want a mini-cube specifically, then take a look at Elos... it's more expensive, though... hmm... or the same RESUN - it's cheaper than RSM. I'm not dissuading you from buying Red Sea, I just recommend learning more about alternative options and only then making a

For beginners - I meant that this system already includes all the essential devices for keeping marine animals. If I understand how to maintain the sea using this aquarium as an example, then in the future I will be able to independently build a larger system from individual parts. And I choose this volume not because I think a small aquarium is easier to maintain (often the opposite), but because I don't have much free space (there are 2 more freshwater aquariums). Thank you, Little Muk, for mentioning the other aquariums, I didn't know about them, I will definitely study them. Please tell me, can osmotic water be replaced with more availabled with more available water (

Red Sea Max is an absolutely unsuccessful option both for beginners and in general. It would be better to have a glass aquarium, and you would only need to buy what seems necessary, rather than everything offered in the package. Although it can be easily calculated mathematically and aesthetically, and it will immediately yield results!

Greetings! Red Max was used - helped to launch and set up for an acquaintance. As for a beginner, it's just what you need. He kept corals and fish there. There were 30 kg of live rocks. A flow pump - Tunze was also added. But you can also get by with Coralia... But there's one thing. When the acquaintance (he was a complete ZERO in marine aquaristics) planned to start) planned to start a marine tank, I advised him to make a metal frame, a sump, and glue the aquarium... He didn't listen, said it was expensive, like Max costs 3-4 thousand cheaper than what I suggested he do. He bought Max, messed with it - threw out the standard light (a lid with T5 lamps), installed an MH light of 250 watts. He tried a lot of animals... it came to the point of absurdity - a triggerfish was planted in a reef aquarium with corals, although I told him it was not allowed... the consequences, of course, were. In short, the Red Max was sold. The animals and stones are now in my custody. I almost finished the marine system for him on a 300L main aquarium and a 100L sump + a metal frame covered with MDF. And all this didn't cost too much... You have time to think about what you want and what you can afford financially. Wait until the end of January: - I'm writing an article, I think begin

It will be interesting to read the article for beginner "sailors"! We're waiting!

First of all, I want to note that Resun and Elos are not the only alternatives... I saw a mini-cube in Aqua Aquamedic's catalogs... there were rumors that they started importing JBJ, and so on and so forth. Honestly, I don't know all the options. Secondly, the story told by Pavlik Morozov in no way diminishes the merits of the RSM. The mini-cube was simply NOT needed by this person from the very beginning... And he didn't know or understand what he needed... In general, the RSM was purchased by mistake. I'll be blunt, but you need to decide what you want. For example, a classic mini-nemo option: anemone and clownfish... or maybe an aggressive mini-nemo option, for example with a brightly colored anglerfish... or a mini-reef... and so on and so forth. PS Regarding water... NOT mineralized drinking water from stores... Russians usually pour "Shishkin Forest"... I can't even say what water is suitable for aquarium use... I don't know... but it's better not to bother and buy an RO system. After a couple of dozen water changes and top-ups, you'll realize that RO water is at least more convenient than running to the store for water. If it's a mini-reef (SPS), then RO + resin is practically

Does anyone transport Elos?

I do not recommend taking ready-made solutions; first, figure out what equipment is needed and what capacities are required for the volume. From my own experience, I found that a ready-made solution is 30 percent wasted money, as some equipment has to be replaced after purchase. This is my personal experience with the company Aquamedic, and Ferplast is in the same category. Now, after just buying a tank, I am selecting everything separately for it.

Sorry for the off-topic, but... What's wrong with T5 lamps?
