• Confusion in the JBL Calcium Test Set instructions

  • Kimberly3727

The English instructions on the JBL website state to add 25 or 5 drops of reagent #1. The English instructions included with the test kit state to add 6 drops of reagent #1. The German instructions in the same included booklet state to add 5 drops of reagent #1 again, and also to wait 1 minute before adding reagent #2 (this is not mentioned in the English version). The Finnish instructions say 6 drops, the French - 5 drops. The same confusion applies to the instructions in other languages - some say to wait 1 minute, others do not. I would like to hear an explanation from company representatives about where this test kit was purchased.

Strangely, my test indicates in all languages that 5 drops of reagent No. 1 should be added...

Shane

You need to administer 5 drops.

They also attach a translation of the instructions in Russian. It also says 6 drops there. But apparently, they just translated it themselves from English. And if it's 5 drops, do you need to wait a minute?

What is unclear here? If your order number (batch) is higher than 8146 - 5 drops. If you have any doubts, take a moment to write to the address provided on the website - describe your problem (attach scanned instructions) - I think you will receive a response within a week with all the "thank you for writing..." and so on. Is this really so critical? Or is it such a problem to wait 1 minute?

It's unclear about the 6 drops. Waiting for 1 minute is not difficult for me. It's hard to understand why the instructions in one language recommend doing this, while in another language they do not, and how this affects the measurement results.
