• The first marine aquarium, is it necessary? That is the question!

Good afternoon. At the moment, I have 2 aquariums with cichlids: one is 200 liters and the other is 400 liters. They are all healthy, no one is sick, and I do regular water changes. But then I saw a marine aquarium... and I really wanted one. The question is: how difficult is it to maintain such an aquarium... are there many problems that arise? How expensive is it to maintain? From the videos, I saw that there is much more equipment and sensors than in freshwater aquariums. I want one that is approximately 350-400 liters.

Good day! We had various aquariums, from sizes to types. It's easier than a forced planted tank, but more difficult than a cichlid tank. Relatively expensive at the start, but easier to maintain if you don't build a strict reef. Experiments with equipment will have to be left in freshwater; in saltwater, it's better to follow classic startup types. A saltwater aquarium is an ABSOLUTELY different WORLD!!!!

It would be easier to give advice if you decided what you want to see in the end. Just drop a photo here and say you want something like that, and people will suggest how difficult it is. A turbocharged herb garden is a walk in the park compared to the sea)) It's all simple there; it forgives mistakes. The only annoying part is having to trim it every two weeks.
