• Launching a nano reef (advice needed)

  • Jesse

Hello everyone! I am a beginner in marine aquariums. A week ago, I set up a 30-liter aquarium. The setup was done using dry reef rocks, and the sand was taken from an existing aquarium, along with added bacteria. The next day, I couldn't resist and added a colony of anemones. Today, I added two small live rocks. My question is, when can I introduce some more living creatures and which ones?

Michele

Are you familiar with the concept of the nitrogen cycle?

David4089

I read about the nitrogen cycle) Do I need to wait for the appearance of diamond algae?

Marie5735

M, you need to adhere to the rules of starting a marine aquarium (M.A.).

What is my mistake at this stage?

Patrick4439

Just don't read it quickly, but carefully, VERY carefully read what the author has written!

Nicole7268

Nikolai, what can we even advise here? There are no inputs, equipment, water treatment, or anything else... nothing at all. Let's see what comes of this...

Andrew4194

I apologize for the incomplete information... I am new to the forum, so I don't know how to ask properly and whether I should ask at all. I will improve in the future!

Lindsay

I found another good article. It might be useful to someone.

Alexander

The article is good, have you read it? Especially about the startup and maturation. Probably not... Otherwise, after a month or a month and a half post-launch, you wouldn't have questions like "who else to add on the second day of the launch." What did you follow from this article when setting up your aquarium?

Barbara

I found her only last night.. I will follow the article from now on. Thank you for your attention!

Well, the topic of the launch is more or less covered, but I don't understand why in the zoos-fan section about salt selection, Blue Treasure I Royal Nature is in the recommended list, while Tetra is categorized as "absolutely not allowed"????? Once, this salt had no equal on the market, and I still consider it better than the Chinese and Polish salts combined. Moreover, to put it on the same level as pharmacy or table iodized salt...

Don't read that site, read the aquaforum!
