• Which salt is better to use for the launch?

  • Stefanie9771

Good day everyone, I decided to monitor the salt market to choose some for my setup, but it turned out to be quite a challenge. There is a large quantity of salt available, ranging from cheap to expensive and very expensive, and naturally, each company praises its own salt. How do I choose the right salt without making a mistake, and ensure that it’s not just a one-day wonder, like something that is available today but gone tomorrow? I am currently considering Blue Treasure L.P.S. salt, or should I go for something else? I believe experienced marine aquarium enthusiasts will provide the right advice for a beginner. Thank you.

I understand you. So, here's the situation: in the store, there are various salts on the shelf, including Red Sea Coral Pro, GroTech Coraline Easy Mix, Aquaforest Probiotic Reef, Korallen-Zucht Ree's Best Coral Reef Salt, Tropic Marin, Aquarium Systems Instant Ocean, Tetra Marine Sea Salt, AKVA culture sea salt, Instant Ocean, and Sera Marin reef salt. I asked for advice on which one would be best for starting up, and I received the response, "They're all in front of you, choose any, you can start with any salt." That's it, do what you want.

Many sailors, including myself, have been launched and are being launched on Tetra ine Sea Salt, and they use substitutes at a higher level. Personally, I make substitutes TM.

David

So you constantly use this salt for both launching and substitution, then let me ask you about something else, you have never experienced such problems as in the link.

I was using Tetra Marine Sea Salt for my aquariums, and I do water changes with Tropic Marin PRO-REEF salt, and I periodically measured the pH in the reef, which shows between 7.8 and 8.2, plus or minus 1 (it stays that way in the reef). There is a lot of discussion about salt on the forum, please read it.

Good choice in the store) you can take any except for aquaculture. In my opinion, choose the one that looks at you; I've tried 4 brands from the list and I'm satisfied with all of them. It's hard to determine which salt is the best just by looking. I recommend deciding on one brand for salting and subsequent replacements right away; I don't see the point in saving on salting and then using a more expensive salt for replacements. Good luck.

Yes, if you have a 100-200 liter aquarium, take one right away, but what if it's one or two tons?! The savings on salting is about 5800 at a minimum (that's two buckets of 25 KG Tropic in PRO-REEF), so what other sense does it make?

Jenny

Well, then take the one that is cheaper. The cheap ones turn out to be fine too.
