• Is it possible to re-glue pipes in a working aquarium?

  • Kimberly2102

Good day, I have a question as stated in the title. I want to redo the sump and the drainage system (cutting some parts, gluing others). Is it possible to do this without restarting the main aquarium: shutting off the pipes, changing the sump, modifying the drainage, and then starting it up again after a day? Naturally, during this time, the circulation pump and aeration will be running in the main aquarium. My concern is the drying of PVC glue in the pipes and using these pipes without rinsing.

So what's the problem with flushing those pipes? Just run water back and forth with a pump, simulating the working aquarium but without it, then drain it and it's done. You just need to temporarily throw a hose for the lift pump into the shaft.

Oh, as an option! I was expecting an answer - it will dry out and can be launched like that, but this sounds more reasonable. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Glue calmly, everything can be redone with a little patience (it's summer outside). After gluing, place the coal. Don't worry, everything will be fine, it's been tested.
